Oliers have a potent powerplay and McDavid and Draistil are dynamic duo... but Nux defence and goal tending and coaching are better... outcome - it will be alot closer than anyone thinks . Regular season stats don't mean much. Playoff hockey is tight checking, grind and execution of team principles ... this series is more evenly matched... I would not underestimate Nux ....
Anyone from either side that doesn't think this is going 6 or 7 games is foolish. I do think EDM will take it, but I don't think it will be a gimme. Should be super fun hockey to watch.

Vancouver has played consistently and stuck with their system with no panic... would not be surprised if they won to be honest.. they have bought in with what the coaches and leadership has told them. JR is very objective and is a winner, Tocchet preaches to embrace and enjoy the pressure. Foote is mentally tough.. etc...Vancouver is very flexible

See the Canucks have some big heavy bodies on Defence, but if OIlers use their speed and agility, they will eventually frustrate the Vancouver D, penalties will happen and the Oil will pick them apart on the PP. The other reason I predict an Oilers sweep is that Van wasn't that impressive against Nashville, they barely squeezed by them and got lucky in Game 4. If they play that same way, Oilers will steam roll them in 4 or 5 games but if Van steps it up and executes a good game plan vs Oilers, then it'll be a long series but I think Oilers got this!
Ya and that loss was a very close game with an empty net goal. Mcdavid makes a bigger impact on his team than demko does for Vancouver and it’s not even close how much more valuable Mcdavid is. Vancouver has NEVER experienced playing against this oilers team in the playoffs not to mention oilers at their best. Oil in 5-6
Hey Panel if you only saw how CHILL and COOL Kris and his UAlberta GoldenBears were as undergrad players were, you will be able to understand how much he is brining to this year's Oilers in lowering the overall temperature of the team's hottest heads to a mere 4°C. This Rokkie coach also has access to the Wisdom and Calmness of the Best D man to ever win 6 Stanley Cups right at his side. I think we are going to see a very tight checking Canucks team try to bear down on and roll over the Oilers - however with Kris at the Helm, he will surgically dissect the Canucks and shred them with a calm cool poker face. Thanks for letting me share some of what I saw when i was at U Alberta same time as Knoblauch and his awesome GoldenBears Team...
