You can go into PCM/ Fuel sys/ ... and find the purge valve, and run a "bi-directional" control, to manually turn it on and off; And just see if it opens and closes. Sometimes just running it back and forth several times can break it loose, and it's fine again for another year. :)... Or at least use your manual control to test the voltage (or test light) at the connector and make sure it's working on the control side and wiring, etc. (or just change it, it's old anyway)

A lot of the mechanics I know prefer the snap on scan tools but I don’t do enough of automotive repair to justify the money. Autel is slow at loading 😂 but at least it gets the job done
The snap on scan tools are $10k and $12k each.. It used to be the only real option, but these days, there are several chinese brands that are awesome, for under $1k. xtool, thinktool pro, autel, topdon are the 4 most popular.. at least right now.
