My 14 year old grandson says he’s afraid of butterflies. We were kind of teasing him about it and he said “Well, I’m not proud of it!” It’s because he doesn’t like them flying at or close to him. Too funny. I love knowing how to make my own puzzle pieces. I’d given away my stash of large piece children’s puzzles when the grand kidlets grew up. Thank you.
I started making puzzle pieces for journals several years ago, I thought I had made it up, but lately I have seen other people using them too! Great minds think alike!
What a fun video! I always enjoy your waffling, singing and just happy personality. I comment for your benefit….youtube algorithms and don’t expect a comment from you. I know it must be difficult to keep up with them all. Cheers!
Thank you so much Bonnie, you know the score love😁 I needed to find a better balance between commenting and making videos. What i do now is have a set amout of time for commenting each day, then i catch up when the mojo is missing, such as now. It's amazing how often i get ideas from the comments to be honest. Thank you for your support love and happy crafting😁😊🤗💜
I get so much enjoyment, pleasure and laughter all while learning new tips and techniques while watching your videos! Thank you for brightening up my day!!!
I make puzzle pieces when I design my papers using Photoshop Elements. The have a few puzzle shapes. Lots of fun! But using a small punch might make some a pair. Might give that a try.😊
Oh you make me laugh. Ty so much for sharing. I had such fun. My dad used to say laughter is the best medicine. Love what you taught this video. Blessings

Thanks Helen, welcome to the channel love😊 You'll get used to the waffle. Sometimes i think the connection between my brain and mouth buffers for days😁💜🤗
Another enjoyable video Julie. A good thing about your puzzle pieces is they are thinner then real puzzle piece which are more like chipboard. Our journals get thick enough without adding extra bulk. TFS 🌻🌻🇺🇸
Omg! Thanks! About the time I think there is nothing new to me out there, poof! An idea is shared. Keep up the sharing. You remind me of myself only I have a very southern accent. Lol
Julie I’m so excited to make these puzzle pieces. They are so cool. I finally got to see what you look like, it wasn’t what I had thought. You are a nice looking woman with beautiful eyes. I have always said skissors also. Thanks for giving me a smile on my face. I love it when you say whew. You are so fun. Crack on women.
I tried an experiment to be able to have puzzle pieces that included tabs. I printed a background on 65 pound card stock, and then on the back of that, I printed a free jigsaw puzzle .jpg, and cut out the pieces. I do love both methods-using a paper punch, and cutting pieces that have tabs on them. Jigsaw puzzle one era is brilliant, and I very much appreciate your video.
Hi Julie! I love this project and your layering is fabulous, enjoyed watching your process. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a beautiful day! Take care! 💜
Oh Lorie thank you so much I love them Mrs as you can see 😁 There was nothing in the package to let me know who they were from either. Thank you so much sweet lady 🥰🤗💜🙏
I remember a video by Antonio Martin (Antonio Makes) using ready made puzzle pieces, in that video, he commented about sanding the sides of the puzzle pieces inside the curves. I have used jewelers’s files that are inexpensive for a set, and I tended for filing inside curves on metal and other materials. I have also peeled the top layer off of emery boards (for finger nails) and glued them onto thin coffee stir sticks, to use for sanding inside curves for paper and chip board.
Hi Patricia, yes I saw the one Antonio did, it was fabulous. It's the one I saw with the lady making the puzzle pieces with the circle punch I've been searching for. I thought it was genius😊🤗💜

I love these puzzle pieces! I had gotten some puzzles at the dollar tree in the states, but the pieces were so thick and so small, I always passed them over. That and I was going to have to paint them, lol. They were never the right color. Well, since you mentioned twice in this video that I don’t like butterflies and now I know that you were deeply shocked and dismayed, I have a few more shocking things to confess to you. I was a clean and simple card maker for years. And, since I was a little girl, I only liked certain colors. So I’m just going to say it, you had better sit down first. I LOVE Tim Holtz, but I didn’t like any of his browns until he came out with ground espresso. I loved vintage things, unless they had any yellows or orange tinting in them. A few years ago I found some patterned paper that I loved. It had a shade of brown that had a rosy tint in it. I went on a hunt for that shade of brown. Then, I watched some videos by megjournals and Ceri the crafter, and BAM! I started collecting shades of brown. My sister was shocked! It was really a shock for all of my friends and family. Oh, I forgot to say I didn’t like the color bright red either. Those colors were not allowed in my home. Sigh, I know I’m going to hear about this….. but I’m 71 years old and I didn’t think I could change. I was wrong. Now, I’m collecting butterflies and old book pages and all kinds old vintage things. I call myself woman or silly woman, and I say crikey Molly all the time. Lol also, bits n’ bobs, I think I’ve gone British lol. I’m having so much fun watching you all.
