That was a fun test drive, but I think she was heating up towards the end, pretty sure I heard some pre ignition going on. Also it's a D Special, not a DS21.

@@DMCarReviews That rattly sound under hard acceleration towards the end of the video, aka pinging. Could be the result of poor quality fuel (octane too low) or engine running too warm, carbon build up or a combination of all 3.....
@@rankinewasyn5369 (hey this is ward the owner)- you're right it was getting a bit hot, there probably is carbon.. the carburetor is a notoriously bad one apparently that citroen used in the first 2 years or so of the then new pollution controls. I just took it off yesterday to fit a different model on. The valves also really need adjusting, which is next!
@@katestewart-yz3ce great, good luck with that! I remember having to adjust the valves on my early 80's Peugeot 505, good times.
I presume the positions of 3rd and 4th gear in this car is just straight up and down like where 3rd and 4th would be on a floor-mounted shifter?

It's actually a hydraulic suspension- (a specialized mineral oil). The car doesn't even have springs or shocks!
