A lot of adjustable benches are going to be wobbly. My concern with this bench is that it looks pretty tall. As in high off the ground. At least higher than your typical benches. Looks like it would be awkward using it to do bench presses in a rack.
It doesn't wobble at all, even if you try to move it, it won't wobble. It is however very shit on many levels. For a start, the removable seat sticking up in the air during incline needs to be removed, so you have to use the bench with your legs in a squat position without it. This is very uncomfortable. 2:04 You see no guys using it, not even here despite them trying to make out it's being used - 0:32 .... ask anybody with the bench and they'll all say they remove the useless seat. Another lie is here 2:13 The bench on it's own weighs 80Ibs so if you're moving it around you have pay extra for wheels.
Thank for the feedback Jack. The incline seat is certainly removable like you said if you prefer not to use it for certain positions. I don't use it for some moves, but definitely do for incline presses and upright positions. The bench weight is 72 lbs with the incline seat and just under 70 without. I don't use wheels on my bench since I only use it in a small area. The thing that makes it relatively easy to lift and move is that it doesn't try to unfold when you lift it up like other benches can. But for some people who like to have wheels for moving a lot more we do make them available but leave them off the base bench to help keep the cost down for those who don't.
Have to agree... I bought this bench and LOVE IT. It is solid solid solid ~ kicks and I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Not wobbly, not too high build incredibly well. Buy it. Use it.
I’ve been using the Super Bench Pro for about a month now and I love it. However, is there any way to secure the seat when say doing incline presses. I feel like sometimes tends to come out of the socket. Like is there a way to secure it like the the attachments such as the pull up bar and dip bar?
Good question. The incline seat doesn't have any pins or screws. We have used the same design for our slide in seat for over 30 years since it is so quick and simple. When you sit on the seat your weight naturally locks in place and would not be possible for it to come out so should be nothing to worry about.
Sorry but that little latch scares me. You or someone could flick that latch accidently whilst holding heavy weight/s & off on a ride of a lifetime. Otherwise great design. A locking mechanism secondary to that adjustable spring is neccesaary IMO.
It is very unlikely that would happen where it is located and the spring and lever would need much more than a flick to disengage. This design has been proven for more than 15 years so adding an additional complex device would be unnecessary and annoying to use. I think you will be impressed if you actually use the bench.
Very high quality!! Especially the leg attachment. Very happy with mine
I'm asking for one of these for my birthday hopefully there back in stock by then
Nice bench, how is it for taller heavier people?
1:28 - that looks a bit wobbly
