Had a scary thought, what if epics making fortnite open world so they can remove all storyline from the battle royal mode?
Each season could just be themed based if they wanted. No story needed in their eyes. Maybe.
Ya I'm concerned that this is just a possibility, let alone the fact that it could actually happen!!
Going to start having nightmares now about what fortnites battle royal mode will end up being. It's not a pretty sight. 😢

I really loved chapter 2. I think people under estimate how popular it will be. Millions of people’s only way to hang out with friends was through Fortnite in 2020. Tons of great memories.
I keep telling people chapter 2 og can very much possibly get more players than chapter 1 og if done right

Scyan Apparently there was supposed to be more in the end event but 60 percent of it got scrapped.
like how the mothership was supposed to get sucked into the black hole and im pretty sure it was supposed to show off the new modes but in a different way

i think they didn't add polar peak, the volcano and neo tilted is because it was only a week that every season lasted and then people would complain to bring it back
The fact that OG did have events leaked, mainly kevin spawning and moving around for the 2 or 3 days before season 6 and they just, didn't do it is kinda sad
Also that kevin vs zero point that was supposed to happen during season X would have been great too
I know with the extra bit of lore from last season regarding Midas it seems to be implied that there are two Midas’. One thing is because his description stated a new Midas will rise and Spirit hunter Saeko says “This Midas will return to a half life... but a life nonetheless.” I think with chapter 2 Og since Midas past self is there then that means we will have the present and the past version of him at the same time. I have even thought that maybe Midas will travel there to warn his past self of the device’s failure which would play a huge role in his plan. Remember when people said the point of the device was to help him escape the loop? This could very well be the explanation to the rumored open world game mode.
There’s a UA-camr named ThunderDM who said in a live stream that his theory is that it’s gonna be revealed this they’re multiple islands in chapter 5 and that’s how we’ll go back to chapter (and that the zero point is there)

I think the whole point of OG was to show how Jones going back changed the timeline, so it wouldn't really make sense if everything played out exactly the same as it did before. Also, if they brought the mechs back, Epic sould get absolutely flamed on Twitter like last time so I can understand why they didn't do tbat.

Great theory on the chapter 5 end because im ngl i need that open world 100% and After the midas event i truly believe he'll have some involvement into the season especially seeing him in the spawn island and then having each of his old agents went off with him 1:47 perfect example on why I dislike that one month long hell, you got nerf versions of the weapons and items you remember, 3:52 literally me one week after the season began
If we are going back to Chapter 2, Retail Row, Coral Castle, Fortella, Catty Corner, Grotto, Shark, Rickety Rig, Frenzy Farm, stealthy stronghold, Agency, yacht, Craggy, Hunters Haven, Lazy Lake, Holly hedges, Weeping woods, Dirty Docks,misty meadows, salty springs, I definitely want to see NPCs on the map at each poi that played apart of that seasons quest respectfully
Btw there is more then 5 realities just look in the Big Bang event there is too much to count

I miss Chapter 4 as well Scyan, it was the chapter I spent the most time on, but there's a 100% recreation of Mega
My Ambitions mostly relly onto chapter 6, i don't want them to just do the whole OG thing way to much that it becomes unexciting

@Scyan it is not overhyped that is when Fortnite actually tried to be good and did not need to rely on collaborations to bring people to their game. Battle passes were worth it in chapter 1 and they had ltms which put a twist on br which they should be using for collaboration gameplay but they gotten lazy n just through the gameplay in regular br
I think chapter 1 og was supposed to have more things in it which would explain why they said it surprised them on how good it did on player count so we can probably assume chapter 2 og should be worked on more and better
@Husko2 that is not what they meant by they were surprised they were surprised because they did not think that returning older maps would be successful not because they had more things

ALSO btw Scyan i think ur theory abt Jones being the visitor MIGHT be incorrect bc in c3 s4 Mostly everyone in the seven got Chromed Including The visitor so if jones was the visitor he would be chromed but thats js what i think right now

The Foundation was right we have been through a lot these past few years as we have been through a meteor crashing into Dusty Divot and opening with the Visitor coming out (even though I didn't play at this time), realities colliding (didn't start playing Fortnite till the end of the season), fighting cube monsters, a snow biome with the Ice King covering the whole island in snow, Unvaulting the drum gun and a Volcano erupting, a monster vs Mech fight, the island getting sucked into a black hole, arriving on a new island, Doomsday, the island flooding, fighting Galactus, bounty hunters arriving, the Zero Point destablizing and the Foundation and Jones fix it, the Primal Age, Aliens invading, fighting the cube Queen and flipping the island, arriving on the flipside of the island where we see Foundation and people from the ch3 s1 BP and where Foundation tells us that we have all been through a lot these past few years and that we need put an end to the Imagined Order, a war between the Seven and IO, vibing on the island, fighting the Herald and the ch2 and ch3 islands blow up and reforging the island, arriving on the new island and a rift gate gets constructed and it gets turned on and sabotaged making the Rift Gate explode making a red rift open, Mega City arriving through the red rift, the island crumbling revealing the Jungle, Kado Thorne arriving and the heist crew heisting his Time Machine, being back in ch1 because of time traveling and ch1 ending again and the Big Bang happens, the Society and Underground fighting and Pandora's box being summoned and getting opened, Greek gods arriving and Zeus and most likely the Greek gods wanting to end mortalkind but not all of them wanted that and Zeus using the Mount Olympus statue to strike Pandora's box with lightning, and now an Apocalypse
What would chapter 6 season 1 be a parallel of? Chapter 2 season 5 or chapter 3 season 1

Ch1 was peak gameplay wise(was very simple yet fun, the new seasons are too complex)
Ch2 was peak fun(but this was the time where the skill ceiling became too high for me to compete, now i just play sometimes for fun with my friends)

I feel like it would’ve been better if they kept Ch1 in the past and moved on from it with the newer chapters whenever you like it or not
I have a theory: after the Big Bang ch1-4 got erased so now we have to re-experience ch1, ch2, ch3, and ch4 but they are different
The Zero Point still exists thankfully and Jones is the same one from ch2 and he still has memories thankfully so maybe ch1-4 still happened but I feel like maybe some events in ch1-4 got erased with the new timeline or the new timeline maybe did something in the old one after Jones time traveled back to ch1 because of the butterfly effect altering ch2, ch3, and ch4
I don’t think they got erased because the rise of Midas event confirms chapter 2 still happened

Off topic but since chapter 3 and 4 were most likely cut into 2 chapters due to file names finding file names of chapter 4 POIs having the chapter 3 island code name, I made my own version of chapter 3 using both chapter 3 and 4 seasons and I’m curious on if you would’ve liked if this was chapter 3
Season 1 and 2 would play out the exact same, but during collision the war would start to break the island, which would cause the jungle to be revealed, and C3S3 would be wilds instead of vibin
The story would play out mostly the same but instead of Slone talking to us it would just be the seven, at the end the eclipse would start and Kado throne would arrive on the island, beginning C3S4: Last Resort
The story would once again be mostly the same, jones and the seven would recruit the heist crew to steal the Time Machine before it’s too late, and Fortnitemares 2022 would bring back some previous fortnitemares features like ghosts to kinda tie in the time travel aspect
There would then be a solo event (like zero crisis) where we team up with the heist crew to take down Kado Throne and steal the Time Machine, however the Time Machine malfunctions and brings the oathbound empire to the island which begin chapter 3 season 5: Oathbound
We’d work with stellen to build the rift gate so the oathbound can go back to their time period, however it would be revealed that stellen was tricking us, in reality the shapeless man (who would be implied and then latest revealed to be the nothing) has been tormenting him and told him to use the rift gate to bring the last reality to the island, but the seven would sabotage the gate and prevent the nothing from arriving, but the gate would instead bring Mega city to the island, which would being Chapter 3 Season 6: Mega
The main villain of this season would be Triarch Nox, who would be a last reality member trying to bring the nothing to the island, and the peace syndicate would team up with the seven to stop him, which they eventually do (there would be a live event where you team up with the seven and peace syndicate to stop Triarch)
After that Chapter 3 Season 7 would be vibin and the story would be pretty much the same, the seven would start to go missing and we find out about the chrome
Chapter 3 season 8 would be paradise, the herald would arrive and the paradigm and jones would be trying to stop her, with the help of Slone who would be revealed to be alive (even thought they both don’t trust Slone for obvious reasons)
Fortnitemares 2023 would begin with chrome monsters all over the island, and jones, paradigm, and Slone would find out the nothing got to reality zero and is close to the island
The chapter 3 finale event would have us fighting the herald, the nothing, and a corrupted version of the seven
The paradigm would die while fighting and right before the nothing could destroy the zero point, jones would use the Time Machine (which he kept in case he needed it when there was no other solutions) to travel back to chapter 1, beginning Fortnite OG
the story of OG would be the exact same and the Big Bang event would happen (but it would be more focused on the story instead of just being an ad)
And chapter 3 would end, and chapter 4 would just be chapter 5 (so C4S1 would just be chapter 5 season 1, S2 would be myths and mortals, etc)
Wow, I can't believe Fortnite Chapter 2 is making a comeback! I always felt it had some of the best maps and gameplay mechanics. I'm really curious to know why they're bringing it back now. Could it be due to popular demand or maybe they're planning to introduce some new elements we haven't seen before? Either way, I'm excited to dive back in and see what's new! 🎮🔥
