the integrated LPVO upper looks so swagger, massive style points with how clean it is

For me it really makes the rifle. When I bought the trijicon optic for it I originally had massive buyers regret though, I remember sitting in my gun room with my roommate going back and forth on whether or not I should take it to a gun show and sell it. $1000 bucks was more than I spent on rent, food, and gas a month at the time. But after taking it out to the range and zeroing it I was hooked. I just looks so cool and the glass is so clear. At some point I'll likely review the optic, but it really is perfect on the AUG :)

In my opinion was a revolutionary design, showing that a bullpup assault rifle is absolutely feasible.

Its crazy how comfortable it is to shoot and handle too. Overall I prefer my M4a1 but if I was issued an AUG I would not be disappointed at all. Super capable rifle

Got mine recently. The Aug is the best jack of all trades in my opinion. Short like an MK18 but has a 16in barrel for long range engagements. Has the rail space you need and has a NATO stock if you want to use AR mags. Trigger isn’t horrible and has upgrades if you really need it. Works well with a suppressor when you have the aftermarket plug from Steyr.

They are super fun! I haven't shot the upgraded trigger but I've heard it makes a big difference just changing the springs to something lighter.

Australians, Austrians, and Irish love it and are keeping it modernized.

defiantly cool seeing what different countries are doing with the platform still.

Serviceable but dated. The rifle has short comings but they can largely be mitigated with training. If you're the type of guy who thinks milliseconds off a reload will ensure your survival, then this isn't the gun for you. When compared to other rifles of the period it leads the pack in many ways. For a general issue service rifle it succeeds.

Glad to hear! I've only interacted with the Australian army once in my career but you guys seem super cool! Back in 2021 I traded patches with some of your guys who were guarding planes for an exercise. Got a flag and a unit patch with a scorpion on it. really chill dudes

So you get your gun recommendations from movies and video games...great!!! The AUG is a great weapon. More reliable than the AR-15 platform. It almost seems like the 5.56 round was made for bullpup rifles. The 5.56 round really doesn't begin to shine until it's leaving a barrel that's 18 inches or longer.
