It took me two steps with the Rolling Code garage door opener. Step 1 was holding the remote to the rear view mirror. Step 2 was synchronization by using the learn button on the back of the garage door opener and getting back to the car in 30 sec to hold down the garage door opener in the car :-). It eventually moved the garage door after I held the car button down for 2 sec the 2nd or 3rd time.
Tried this exact method and it worked for me, thanks!
What is the brand of the door motor?
I had to physically press my learn button inside the garage then run back to the car and hold the garage button. Then it works amazing. I have a lift master

Does it work for you with NICE remote controllers? I tried it in audi S8 and it couldn't get the signal.

How do you do it if you don’t have a remote? I hit the learn button on the actual lift master motor and then program in the Audi and nothing happens repeatedly
That's a good question. I will have to look into that for you and get back to you. What brand of Garage door opener is it?
is it possible to add the garage door opener to favorite for easier access without having to go multiple steps of the settings?
Have you set it up already? When you drive close to the house a drop-down menu shows the garage door opener to press to get it to start opening. Which Audi do you have?
Didn't work for me. I have a Chamberlain remote. Told to switch out the battery; did that to no avail.
@MrMajeed7 maybe check your manual for the garage door as there might be a learn button on it. Hope that helps.
@@ShehanWicks thanks. It does and that didn't help any. I contacted homelink and they advised that I need to have audi disable the blind spot radar by removing the fuse! That seems very extreme to me. Kyle at homelink says this is an issue with A8 premium and prestige trims. This is very disappointing
@@MrMajeed7 I'm sorry to hear that. In Canada, we have a different configuration from the U.S. Models.

It's the same process. You have to pick one of the other option squares to add it.

What if you have Rolling Garage codes like for doors opener Wayne Dalton 3214 etc.,? Thanks in advance :)
@vishalgupta some have a learn button where you will have to press that first on the garage door and then proceed with the garage door execution in the car. Try that. Some might not work I'm sorry to say.

Hi Bo, I would say check to see if the garage door unit has a learn button on it and press that so you click on the screen and see if that works. That's a question I haven't come across. hmmm.
@@ShehanWicks hey bro! The garage opener has a learn button… I had it but no luck! Maybe I have to be directly under it, but I ended up getting a remote… programming it to the door, then to the car 😅 thank you! Definitely explore that because there are NO videos if you don’t have a opening remote 🤔

Same process as before, just click on the second option for the door to open.
but what about when it isn't a first time?
How do you mean? Has it been programmed already?
That was my first time setting it up.

Some garage door openers are not compatible. Please check to see if there is a learn button on the garage door unit.
