The title of the video is misleading, man. No F2P players are going to be able to follow these steps. He's level 73 with Phoenix, Ultron, BB, and Ebony Maw, with DD2 beaten.
I'm level 75, have been for months, and my Hela is 4*. I can't break Heroes 7-2, cant beat Villains 7-1. Starlord isn't going to help me beat the first six nodes of Heroes 7 - you want to give tips on midgame play? Let us know which teams advance the new tier 7 campaigns, and a good path towards upgrading those teams.
AIM for Villains chapter 7. They're low effort to power up to be decent enough to pass you through chapter 7.
Honestly, I'm going Phoenix before Blackbolt because I can't farm Hela. All my tips have come from my alliance on how best to progress.
This dude is a huge whale. No point in taking his advice as F2P or even small spender.
Go AIM dude. I'm F2P. I used AIM with Researcher for the sustainability to get me to the Hela node a few months ago. Once I did that it was MUCH easier to farm her - I am aiming to unlock B at 6 stars at the next event.
If you have Red Skull, Hydra can do it better than AIM but both are good choices. I brought my AIM up to 135k and they got smoked. Completely switched and brough Hydra up from nothing to 140k and got the node done along with everything else.
if you can’t beat 7-2 after months you’re just a bad player

I took my defenders through dd2...and literally walked it! Every piece of advice is subjective!
I really think you should specify that McMole has whaled (as he has admitted to whaling hard on black bolt in his videos or twitter feed), otherwise his advice doesn’t really resonate with the majority of the player base who play F2P or only buy some packs.

Possibly consider a series on being efficent and streamed line. There's constant game change, so content? As a mostly FTP and 580 ish days. I just hit 2.8 TCP and beat DD2. Would of loved some of this 6 month ago lol.

You're gonna need a strong city heroes team to make Hela farmable so defenders is basically a must if you want to go for Asgardians
The idea of stripping gears would be awesome and so usefull
as a mid game player i'm pretty happy i have fury. i used them for all the difficulties of the new u6, they hold up well in my arena shard, they hold up in war defense, can use them in the new nexus campaign and shield + fury will be going into dd2 with me. i wasn't really around when he was a top legendary but he's definitely still very good and for mid game i'd say more useful then shuri or invis woman since mid game isn't going into dd3 and u7
I took Fury, Starlord, Minerva, Groot and Shield Security all at gear tier 13 lvl 71 into DD2 and cleared it in a week.
I'm currently working on my Asguardians and hopefully I'll get Pheonix this time around if I can get Hela up
Top 5 Tips according to the video (must watch till the very end):
1) whale hard
2) whale harder
3) whale the hardest you can
4) get Asgardians, S6, Ultron, BB, Ebony Maw and Phoenix while following steps 1-3
5) oh, and buy some orange gear from the store as well
Shield Medic and Trooper are not trash. Medic is one of the best healers in the game. She has been instrumental in sustaining my team in all game modes. Trooper I also use everywhere because of his passive. Extra damage is extra damage and he has been the difference maker for me.

OhEmGee, I love ya, my brother, but maybe once, look at things from a f2p point of view.
Im F2P and Shield medic and trooper are TRASHH. if you are new and f2p, go for mantis as your raid healer (until you get minerva)
One of the best tip outside resource management is find a good alliance that you like playing with. There are tons of alliances looking for dedicated players out there. If you're in a stalled alliance with no comms, unlimited internal stupid fights, or bad to non-existing management, just leave and find a better one. Play with like-minded folks, your experience with this game will be a lot better.

Big whale...Lvl73 and he has 2.5mill roster and lots of max characters. No way you can do that as f2p.
You'll get there, but it will take more time. Don't feel bad because of it. Whales will always ruin the fun, but they make the game possible. Most people will never spend a dollar on this game. I'm mostly F2P (got a few cheap offers here and there) and my CP is 6.1m now. Been playing for 2 years. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
S6 underrated. All or nothing team.

I been playing since March and I just unlocked my first legendary last week, Starlord (we don’t talk about Ironman).
Minn-Erva was my first G13. And that was the shocking eye-opener for the unique orange pieces. And then I remembered watching a video from you ranting about the unique gear from time to time in the Main store. (There was no War store at the time.) I actually have a video that needs to go up where I talk about how Elite War Credits should only be used for the Orange Gear War Orbs.
I think getting sinister 6 is super helpful after Guardians/SL because they are not only used to unlock 2 legendaries BUT you need them for 7-1 to 7-3 to get close to farming hela
That was a 50% focus increase, not 30%
Exactly. G14 is 50% for focus and resistance, around 20% for health, armor, damage.. the average is around +30%.
Let’s discuss: what’s mid game exactly. I am around 300 days. But only unlocked ultron few days ago. Am I mid or late?
Do have blackbolt but don’t have Phoenix and has only had Shari last few weeks.

What I like about this game is the rewards are so good, I can farm characters I like and not have to chase meta all the time eg I love nebula yes she is trash but i like her. This game was made to make money, but it was also made for free to play, I spend sometimes because I don't have too I choose to. The rewards they give for stuff makes me feel a little guilty not spending money.
People that play this game and complain should think themselves lucky that it's not made by CG who have probably already developed an alogrithim that charges you per press, but is free to watch.
Keep complaining yes, but always remeber the company that does this game at-least cares about more then just money.
How bout running "Shotgun Riders": Elsa, Winter Soldier, Punisher, Medic, Killmonger?

Wish this would have been out months ago 😂 I’m nearly 70 and I didn’t start pursue legendary unlocks till I was level 60. At that point I missed out on 5 legendary events because I was more focused on character quantity and one or two teams. Big oof on my part.

thanks for this video. i wanted to ask for more details on the orange gear you said to buy in supplies (the 50k and 100k pieces). where can i find information about who needs each piece? i tried msf.gg but the search function doesn't allow me to type in the name of the gear piece and search which characters need it. it just gives either the full piece or the gear requirements for each characters.
Hella is the only difficult character from the Asgardians, I just don't want to put efford on AIM and others to complete the first 6 nodes of Villians7!!

Great video! What would you say the three levels of gear are for your characters. I know you mentioned in the video that character levels are separated from 63,70, and then 75. What is the three stages of gear? Thanks, love your videos!
There's a few stages of gear. Tier 1-4 is green, Tier 5-8 is blue, Tier 9-12 is Purple, and T 13 and T 14 are orange. Since orange gear is the rarest, you don't want to waste it on bad characters. There are also ability levels, 7775 but because the T4 (orange) ability materials are so hard to come by, most characters can be left at 6664 (purple) ability level. Baseline for a mediocre character would be to take them to level 60, gear tier 10ish (no higher than 12) and 6664 in ability. There's more to it but I gotta run!

It can be subjective depending on your RS for example. You need around 15 characters at g14 for DD3. Better spread them by type (mutant, skill...) so you don't need to farm the same mini-uniques for 75% of them. There's a good tool on MSF.pal.gg, which requires a discord bot setup tho, but it's very helpful. Sinister 6 is sort of a 2+ double dip. Not only do they get you IW and Shuri, they allow you to get Shuri to higher stars. Without Shuri, you can't do higher than 4 in Chaos Theory. ALSO, S6 can do /ok/ in war against red skull and Mercs. Not great. Ok.

Its hard to farm asgardians, firstly the campaigns are hard, and getting hela with spending energy gives me only 3 to 5 shards, So these characters should be in blitz

Getting started with defenders is still a good option in order to unlock the correct campaign nodes and to get started. The next objective would be to unlock Star-Lord, but having a 100k defenders is definitely useful in order to get that :)
Much as I love Mobile and these sort of videos generally you really have to be cautious...
First they told me to focus on Defenders, so I did...
Then they told me, no - focus on Sinister Six, so I did...
Now they tell me, no - focus on Asgardians, so...
Moral of the story - there's a few decent teams that will get you decent things. So focus on the ones (I normally focus on one for a hard farm and another for a soft farm) you like and go with them...listen to these vids just as a guide, not a prescription.
And yes, as others have pointed out - McMole omits the fact that he whaled hard to focus on Black Bolt. For many, that is not an option.
I treat these videos as entertainment, and to get some ideas from, nothing more than that. It's a game. Enjoy it and play it how you want to.
(Just avoid Ravagers :P)

I have regretted getting Iron Man to 5 stars... Not only does Iron Man feel underwhelming so does the shield toons that are available at early levels. I have wasted my first 60 levels on pretty garbage toons.

I’m at 2.2m tcp and feeling the struggle on who to focus. Like I haven’t even done DD1 because I’ve been so focused on war and raids. I don’t even have any 6* characters asides from wolverine. I’m getting all the legendarios now but it’s a struggle.
The struggle will continue for a long time. Get used to it. Finding a good path through this labyrinth is where the fun is.
You will never be able to do everything you want to do unless you pay.
This is the modus operandi of these games. They create this tension, anxiety and struggle in you until you pay your way out of it.
The alternative is - do what you want. Farm who you want, when you want - and just remember - its a game. Have fun and play it however you want :)

I'm in a similar situation as McMole. The other part of leveling up S6(in addition to the 2 legendary) is to get thru 7-3 of the Villain campaign faster. Getting to farm Hela faster is just good and I don't want to waste resources building up AIM and Hydra yet.

That's not the guy on the right's roster, it's the guy on the left. He's been playing since launch. HOWEVER, his luck is very good. Look into seed theory. It has made my red star luck better for sure but I still wish I had those red stars that he has haha.
