Your splitting strait grained cedar, witch is one of the easiest wood there is to split. Throw some green cottonwood on there and lets see if it can handle real wood.
AB systems
Nice splitter
Smarty below is right Ceder=easy -we throw oak and hickory at ours but the one that has given us the devil is pin oak only because it does not have the integrity to get pushed thru the knives without getting crushed and we are working on a new box head design as in ordering 4140 steel tomorrow for the knives spent 3 hours getting pin oak UNSTUCK lol ........we shall see
check it out search Munster Wood Splitter must see.......
Also 10,000$ retail is in the ballpark if this is made right and depending on the engine- steel alone for this project would be 2500-3500$ hydro hoses/fittings /pump 1000-1500 paint 200$ Cylinder -500$-800$ probably 2.75 ram on a 5'' cylinder judging by the speed nice job---- love to see some hard wood go thru it
Also are your knives all in line as in the wood hits at the same time or are they staggered and are they square are set at an angle ......if ya don't mind saying .
Can't wait to see Mister Hedrich's splitter built in his garage !!! has he posted it yet !!!!! We Spent about 6 months building ours -its no cakewalk !!!
Smart ass hit the nail onthe head cedar pole stumps aint much of a challenge
Pity there's nothing like that in the uk best idea and design I've seen yet they would sell well here
I purchased one of these units last fall. I finally got the chance to try it out this past weekend and this thing is awesome!! I will say you are going to get some waste due to the box wedge. With that being said you can really go through some wood. It does just as good with wet wood.
My next splitter🙏🙏🙏
Lol. Nothing like cedar !
Needs a diesel motor.
Where can I buy one?!?
2:05 I'd definitely have a word with that guy if he were speeding on my location
Can anyone tell me what make and model this is ? I would really like to own one.
Hey Bret, This one goes for $10000 . We love this design and we are releasing an improved version for 2019... stay tuned!
$10,000!!!! WoW, HUGE markup! Being a machinist/welder and working now as engineer, I recognize a massive markup when I see it. Not hard to build, ALREADY drawn up plans on CAD software. Will run mine off tractor hydraulics and mounted to the 3 point.
@@elricofarmer1561 We'd love to see your factory with 30 American employees!
Works really good on old power pole butts
