@@fennecfox9490 it's all very well to say that no one should be forced to agree with God's supposed opinion on homosexuality, and to claim that his opinion doesn't mean people should hate actual, real homosexuals. But in fact people have been forced to agree with God on this point, to the extent of being hanged or burnt at the stake, and not all that long ago, either. And even today gay people are executed, or sent to prison, or forced to undergo various barbaric methods of so-called "treatment". And all because of a few lines in a book written centuries ago. To just brush all this off with a statement like, "well it says so in the bible" is unspeakable. The bible was written by human beings, and human beings can be filled with hate and bigotry that should not be treated with reverence and allowed to continue to influence people for thousands of years, as those ugly quotes have done.
@@janetkizer5956 The unspeakable things that people have done over the years, and even continue to do, actually go against the message that Jesus preaches in the Bible. And the Bible is the Word of God. Anyone can take a verse from the Bible and use it to justify awful acts of hatred and oppression that God hates. And that was what I was saying in my original post, that God does not hate the homosexual, and disapproves of vile acts of aggression that so-called Christians perpetrate upon folks that do not obey God's law. Romans does talk about homosexuality as something that God does not condone. And of course not all people are going to take that to heart. But the fault is with the people who claim to love God and continue to abuse those they disagree with, not with the Word of God. And that was what I was talking about in my original post.

Imagine being this concerned about other people.
Wait so if the goal isn't to convert people into believing their message what is their goal?
Insulting people.
Just to simply warn people that their sin is taking them to hell, according to them.
@@TheGreekPianist They should have just done a letter drop and taken the rest of their lives off.
Alienate wider society so as to isolate their own members, thus making them easier to control. Standard cult tactic really.
To offend everyone as much as possible and the gaslight them into thinking they just aren’t understanding the word of God
She is pastor Phelps daughter, How does she never think "maybe my dad is a lunatic?" Like how has that never crossed her mind.
Louis. I love you man. "The church has taken its message of God's hate.." This is amazing.
To him it reads "God hates cigarettes" 0:30
Not gonna lie Im British and when I first read it I thought that
I wish Fred Phelps would have just came out of the closet before he died.
Yeah that's my thinking as well. With that much hatred he had to have been dealing with some homosexual feelings of his own.
Apparently. Dorothy lived in Kansas? Jeesh!
like the bloke in American Beauty!
You think he was blow jobbing on the side?
0:34 When she said 'Taking it up the tailpipe' I spat out my coffee 🤣🤣🤣
im a gay guy and I laughed .hehe,
Hating is not what loving people do
I feel so sorry for those kids :(
louis theroux, what a legend
I’ve always wished she would turn around- without this stuff, Shirley is confident, charismatic (not her words because of the vile things she says), an educated lawyer and all her children, the ones that have left still say she was a great mom.
When she and her daughters were at a college singing their redone Lady Gaga song, she just owned the ridiculous lyrics, her daughters followed her confidence and you find your self almost laughing at such horrific lyrics. I can’t imagine how unstoppable she would have been in the real world.
Shirley is not innocent. She had a choice. 😊
She actually enjoys inturupting a funeral of a young man who died protecting everything she depends on whilst knowing nothing about his religious background.. Evil witch is only name I describe
Can you imagine these people being your parents? What a nightmare...
Sadly people do live with people like this
I wouldn't be surprised if them kids turned out to be extremely mentally disturbed and ending up killing themselves or something
Watching Louis run intellectual rings around these people is absolutely majestic.
And I thought being a closeted lesbian growing up Catholic was bad...
"And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."
Mark- 12:31
Imagine her being your lawyer, yes your honour, my client is guilty, you are also guilty, everyone in this court room is going to burn *cackles*
thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself"
Omg I was raised this way for so long. These people are horrible.
I so wish that Borat was doing this interview.
Oh fuck yes either that or Ali G
They the same dude anyway
It amazes me how right she thinks she is.
There is no way this woman should have custody of children.
Rather, the evil state shouldn't have custody over children...the man-made law celebrates mass-murdering unborn children and turning them into transgender etc...maybe you shouldn't have custody of children, you sure you are doing good for them? Based on what?
Bruh, if they showed up at one of my family members funeral they better start running, because if they don’t, my family member isn’t the only one getting buried that day.
Honestly, same. You don't disrespect my loved ones, especially the dead, and expect me to show mercy
Oh no we got a couple of tough guys here

Megan left the church and so have some other people.
They are in a better position than those children left to the corrupt pollution of the media and evil education of STate schools etc.
Poor kids waiting to be groomed by you, most likely.
No person has a right to judge anyone or speak on behalf of all Christians ❤️God is love.
These lot are the least Christian people I've ever seen.
Wrong, God commanded people to judge actions, beliefs, people and relationships by his laws. And it isn't about speaking for Christians it is about speaking truth, judging with justice and submitting all opinions on all matters to Divine Law. Man-made law, man-made philosophy, ideology and culture is the root of all evil and oppression in the world. God doesn't love everyone, he hates most people because of their disbelief, polytheism, atheism, sins, corruption etc...And God commanded us to love and hate based on his criteria, laws and guidance...not our own emotions and opinions wrongly adopted from a corrupt government, society, media and mis-education system.
Anyone that says God is love has not read the bible. Do you say that an abusive parent is love also?
Gotta love Louis !!! 💕
That boy at 2:02 looks like his soul has left his body.
Shame there is no such thing as a soul
Everyone in the family sounds the same when they speak in this doc, but Megan sounds so different now that she's no longer in the church. I think that they're very deeply indoctrinated, so much that it destroys all sense of self.
Good Grief!
God is love, God is kind, God is hope. They are hateful. They are cruel. They are lost. Listen to how she and the rest speak. Anger and hate in every word.
Maybe you need to read a bible. Their religion is a much truer reflection of God's will than most Christian denominations.
"Yeah but it wasn't a big thing for Jesus. He had other priorities."
LOL. Louis is hilarious.
I love that her son's name is Gay-briel 🤣
she's wrong. everyone is a sinner. god loves everyone but hates some of the things we do (the sinning)
damn false teachers i hope god saves them too
did you just reply to your own comment?
Kaleb Malanin Jesus made a new man (or people) out of two peoples, the jews and the gentiles.
in a way, christians are the true jews, for not all born of israel are israel. i like you comment though, thanks
Lies.
Thank goodness Shirley sees things differently now. I hope she one day finds peace too
What a miserable human being. She hates herself, her life, and every one else.
No, she exerts power and control over her family and her sect by that hatred
If they’re job isn’t to win over and “save” people then why don’t they just leave everyone else alone?
How can this women be a lawyer surely she has a slightly less than impartial approach to her work.
"The fanatic is always harbouring a doubt" George smilley.
3.48..i really thought and was hoping she's going to quote Samuel L Jacksons famous rant in Pulp Fiction lol
LMAO THE WAY HE CALLED HER OUT
Whenever I'm having a good day, I like to totally ruin it by coming back to remember these people existed.
Okay, I’m a religious person but these folks are just way over the top!
Someone like you a 'religious person' might seem over the top to me, someone who is not.

Jesus said to love your neighbor as you love yourself. These people are deceived by Satan.
Lolol. Yeah. Jesus was real. Sure.

1:52-1:54 as well. Add those 2 together, and you have an incredibly hard opening to a rap song.
“If you see a nation or a people who have risen up with one voice to say that it’s OK to be gay, you are looking at a doomed people”
True words.
God bless Louis
I love this woman Shirley she makes me want go and preach. Praise God 🙏
Really hope this is sarcasm
@@Chloe4656. no it's not sarcasm. It's been a church millitant I admire Shirley.
@Sharing God love no god does not hate homosexuals Abraham pleaded with God before he rained burning sulphur down on sodom he said if I find any righteous I will spare it but none were to be found so no god does not hate them if they repent he hates the act
I hope you are joking. Otherwise get well soon.
You're a heretic
I’ll never look at the Phelps family the same again after hearing about the horrendous physical abuse done by Fred Phelps Sr.
Shirley P: God hates you He hates the whole world, America as well the most.
Christian: John 3:16 For God so loved the World he sent his only son....
Shirley P: I didn't say God hates the whole world just America
Christian: Yes you did
Shirley P: No I didn't say that
Christian:You said God hates you, he hates the whole world... Rewind and show her the clip
Shirley P:Walks away irritated
She does the same as Fred did, she says things and when proved wrong by scripture then denies she even said it and twists the meaning. They are really foul and conceited people who are wrong but think they are right and have that annoying smirk like they have won the arguement, ugh disgusting people, making a mockery of Christ Jesus.
Louis: "What proof is there that God hates people and hates the world?"
Fred: "I'm not going to answer that as it's a stupid question, if you don't know the answer then you're an idiot"
You can just tell these people are full of hate and anger and will insult you if you dare to challenge them. They are the least Christian people I've ever seen. But remember, Jesus would still forgive them so we must try to not judge them for their behaviour, although it is easier said than done as none of us are perfect.
Is Megan Phelps her daughter (a TED Talk Speaker)?
Yep
'Taking it in the tailpipe' - very biblical...........
Well to be fair, the Bible says far, far, FAR worse things than that.
Didn't she say "tail hole" which is even funnier?
Great job Louis..
How a person like that is able to graduate and be a lawyer?
They all went to Washburne University Law School a tiny private one in Kansas that admits you if you have the money to pay, then they all join the same law firm “Phelps Chartered” started by “church” pastor Fred Phelps who was permanently disbarred in 1989 for committing felony perjury. Right after that he took his family church out to start picketing gay people. They ran to torment Matthew Shepards family after his murder. Deplorable souls
They are going to hell faster than I am 😅
"God hates You?" What? In the world. God hates no one. Yes, He despises homosexuality but He doesn't hate homosexuals. He hates the sin, but loves the sinner. These cult members are actually lying about God.
Oh, so God sits around in heaven despising homosexuality, according to you. Why? What is the purpose? There is so much violence and hatred and sickness and poverty going on in the world, but God has time to despise homosexuality? And you have time to report on his opinions. Meanwhile millions of children are going to bed hungry. Maybe both you and God could do with a re-alignment of priorities.
@@janetkizer5956 I mentioned it just to clarify my statement so that people knew where I was coming from. Homosexuality is discussed in the Bible and I can't change that. No one should be pressured or forced into agreeing with God's view and I'm pretty positive that God doesn't condone a war being waged on homosexuality by Christians. It certainly isn't winsome.
I enjoyed Shirley on HollyWeird Squares from The Howard Stern Show
Louis is okay but Stern brought out the best of them.
Its interesting how easily religion can manipulate people
Whats more interesting is how one can lose all logic too religion
Simple logic tells us two things
1. The possibility of a creator hasn't been ruled out by scientists and as such God cannot be discredited
2. Religion is man made. Not made by God.
By following religion your not following the words of God your following the words of Man
Man builds and writes
Do not feel you need to follow religion to be close to God
