Not sad Hannah, perfectly normal. As a mum of an 18 year old I can relate. Myself & my daughter are best friends & I'm sure we both have separation anxiety.
We are both gearing up for her to move out to Uni & I'm dreading the day. I know I'm going to be lost without her the house is going to be so silent. However, I know our beautiful girls have to grow up & spread their wings & we (as mums) are never really that far away. I'm sure your mum will be feeling the very same as you did, afterall, her baby, that she has been with everyday since the day you were born is watching her bestie spread her wings. Doing amazingly lovely. Such a beautiful home you have created for you & boyfriends future. Enjoy, relax & reap those hard working rewards. ❤
Trust me, it gets SO much easier with time. I moved out in 2020 and there is nothing better than having my own home! I definitely miss my family and some days are harder than others, but this is just a part of growing up. I’ve been watching you for 8+ years and it makes me so happy to see how far you have come. Enjoy your new home with Sunny and your boyfriend. 🩷
completely get the fear of moving out, i moved out to go to uni in 2022 and even though it was only a half hour away from home, i hated being away from family. i only stayed in uni for 3 months because i wasn’t enjoying my degree at all and moved back home straight after, but the anxiety of living alone is so relatable han, don’t feel weird for saying it at all! your new home is so beautiful and you should be so proud of all the hard work you’ve done, here’s to your next and new chapter
You done such a gorgeous job , looks so homely , being close with your mum I think is lovely , you only have so long some times with a parent so always make the most of your time with them

I love how honest you have been. I’ve now been in my house a month and I do feel better now. Got into more of a routine and I’m slowly getting over the change of having a house and all that comes with it. I’ve realised it’s a sacrifice and my life is new now so just embracing it rather than over thinking 🤍🤍
🎨 loving the home content, it’s giving me loads of tips. Also love the way you keep it real. I feel overwhelmed a lot in the Reno I’m doing, and sometimes feel like I’ll never get it finished. Love seeing you tackle each thing in such a calm way. Well….it looks calm!!

It’s such a huge milestone in your life and when you’re very close to your family it is normal to be upset. Haha can totally relate to the cardboard issue. Definitely book a slot with your local area's recycling centre and drop it off. Excessive, but we've done that journey so many times now it becomes normal!

I have the same relationship with my mum. When I moved out to live in dorms at uni it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I felt exactly the same when moving out but you do move forward with the new chapter.
Now since moving into two properties and being back on my home estate is the best thing. Still very close to my mum but enjoying living in my second home and renovating it ❤
Have to do what you feel is right for the crate training. Crates are perfect for puppies but as an adult she’ll be fine at night being with you upstairs.
You will probably find that even when you’re out she won’t need to be in the crate as she will be fine.
Definitely panel your office. Will be lovely.

I think it’s sweet how close you are to your mum & upset to leave her. Me & my daughter were joined at the hip till she turned 18 & then she’s like thanks I don’t need you now! It hurt so much. I’m a dog mum so I’d let my pooch lick my ice cream lol

I moved out 2 years ago and still find myself crying saying bye to my parents and they live 10 minutes down the road!

When I moved and build all my furniture, I didn’t throw any of the instructions either haha I put them in a plastic bag, with all the remaining screws and shove them in one of the kitchen drawers lol where I have lunch bags and tea towels 😅

I don’t think it’s sad but I moved out at 19, moved like 3 hours away and then at 21 I moved to a different country and haven’t been back since so it is a little hard for me to understand 😬
I also sleep with my dog (and husband) every night and wouldn’t change it for the world

I felt pretty nervous about moving out. I’ve been in my flat for about a month now and I don’t regret it one bit. I love my flat and knowing I have my own space🥰🌟❤️
I was really close to my mum but unfortunately she passed away about 8 years ago. So sometimes I find it difficult being at this stage In my life and she’s not here to see it🥺 I am close with my dad too but not as much as my mum

I don’t think you should panel the office. The room looks too small and it will be an overwhelming darkness with the panelling!
