Nice points! I also use riverside but I sometimes worry about audio drift. What platform - gear did you use? There’s a slight difference at the image quality between you two
Tried Riverside and the synch issues with Audio made some of my interviews essentially useless. Now trying Descript bc I hear it doesn't have those issues and records locally in 4k
@@podcircle well I mean Riverside CREATES sync issues, ie the audio synchs very unpredictably with recorded videos. It’s not just out of sync but the syncing changes throughout. I’ve had two fellow UA-camrs try to use it and both finally abandoned it as well bc it ruins recordings. Hopefully Descript doesn’t do that. It should be reasonably easy to fix as recordings locally shouldn’t be hard to sync audio with video but they don’t seem to want to address it. When I check in periodically they are advertising new features but as far as I can tell they haven’t fixed critical issues on their old features which is a no go for me.
Do you use riverside to host your podcast? If not what platform do you use. I have been looking into riverside, descript, podcastle and buzzsprout.
We use and recommend Transistor.fm for hosting. You can find the link in the description!

What platform are you guys using to record this conversation?
We use Riverside.fm to record and a mixture of Pro Tools and Descript to edit.
@@podcircle lol thats funny

It's certainly a lot easier to fix sync issues in Descript's editor - although not painless.

@@podcircle And for editing I use premier pro so I don’t need their native editor. Thanks for your response.
