He's spot on when he said that energy positive major key music is the most popular now among many exclusive publishers. In fact, I got a template reply from a publisher after submitting an album 2 months ago informing me that sad/melancholic music isn't that popular now with clients and most of the time clients want energetic music.
These sounds are great. From your prior feedback as well as a library, mine are too preset sounding, and after hearing these, I hear the difference. I just cannot break out of the “Casio effect”. But this video has been incredible.
@@SyncMyMusic I feel it's because I reached the point where the biggest area I lack is selecting and utilizing plug-ins, not relying on the DAW sounds, and also getting a final professional end sound. That's absolutely my current hurdle. I recently signed-up for Pro Feedback, so maybe that will help showing if any improvement with this or lack of along the way.
@@DESUREMUSIC Instrumentals make up a majority of TV placements due to all the background music needed, but these days vocal music is becoming more and more in demand.
Totally agree on the more you try to make the track being perfect, the more it wont be. Great tip as well to spend around 4 hrs each day making music. Does Todd work with 2-5 libraries as well? - Ben Y
@beyo7498 Todd is in a rare situation where he gives loyalty to receive loyalty... problem is The industry as a whole does not work that way... everyone tends to look out only for themselves.
@@Christian_Salyer hmm that can be said for any industry with that logic. I love doing what i do and so far, it has been the same 3 publishers for me. I am very happy with my relationship with them and maybe i'm fortunate enough so far that no one has ghosted me... @SyncMyMusic

👍👍👍
What does Todd use for his drums? Does he use amp sims for his guitars ? His music sounds 👌👌🔥🔥.
I noticed the examples you shared didn’t have vocals. Do instrumentals get placed more so than tracks with vocals?

@@beyo7498 Todd worked exclusively with 1 Library most/all of his career. I still highly recommend working with 2-3 at a time to compare results.
