These Pioneer units brings me back to the days I worked at a Pioneer dealer here in the US. We don't have Long Wave on our tuners. Looks like about 1980-1982 series.
LW is only Europe / Africa I think. Though the only station in W Europe now is BBC Radio 4 and that is on death row. Its main advantage was coverage - it's all ground wave and hence the whole UK and coastal waters can be covered with 2 transmitters.
The replacement motor is type EG-530AD. They are fairly widely available in the usual places (ebay, aliexpress etc) with prices between £1-£15. Mainly depending on how quickly you want one :-)
Always enjoy seeing something that never made it to the States. 1976-1979 when I was a teenager and wish I could afford a bottom end Pioneer stereo receiver that was pushing $400.00. I draw the line 1980 on....................which I consider Junk.
The Cassette deck brings back memories for me too, had the same one back in the 80's, always thought it was a nice looking bit of kit.

Good to have you back, Neil, and happy new year! And good work on getting that deck going. Where did you order the motors from?
