Fantastic rides. What do you look for with regard to knowing when the waves are up? I'm a displaced CA/Hawaiian surfer that hasn't surfed in 4 years (Costa Rica trip planned in June). I'd love to get down to S. Padre, but that is a hike and would want to know its pumping. Any tips would be much appreciated.
@@SperoinDeo Best bet is probably checking surfline and maybe calling into local surfshops. Troipcal storms often bring good surf when they are out in the gulf.

I also have a question, is the surf at beach access 6, significantly weaker than at isla blanca park? Is it still surfable?

@@SperoinDeo Corpus Christi is closer and has a better variety of breaks with more dining & shopping opportunities for the gf/wife.
