- HQProp have just released some new propellers, the J40 juicy prop! I headed out to test these new props and see how they compared to my favourite J37 juicy props. I was first taken back by how smooth they felt. Really enjoyed using them and will continue to do so. Enjoy the video and let me know what you think in the comments!

That was funny. Getting over that fence. That's how I do it haha. Props look sick btw. Can't wait to try mine 🔥🔥🔥
Hahaha, it's the easiest way to get over 😆🤪 Yeah bro, let me know what you think of them!
You get my kind of comedy. Well done bruv!
Also could we all give the camera man/woman (Vanessa?) an award for filming that with a straight face and putting up with your shits and giggles?
Randomly only just saw this comment! Yes she needs an award for putting up with all my shit! 😂
These look great! I’ll have to try em. Nice ripping man!
Yeah bro give them a go! Feel super nice 👌🔥🙏🙏
Great review mate look locked in great response by the footage.
Thanks bro! Yeah great response, really loving these props!
@@fpvwithpatrick will defo get some when they instock
Love it bro. Awesome rip as usual.
Cheers brother! Hope you’re good! 👊👊🙏🙏🙏😁
Well done review. 👍 That ending though, 😂
Hahaha thanks man!
Brilliant edit man
Thanks so much dude! 👊🙏🙏
Nice review bro, I think it will be fits with sbang style right?
Thanks a lot bro. For sure you can although maybe J37 might be better for that. The J37 with lower pitch and therefore higher acceleration might be more suitable but of course you still can use 👍
I can't get that eject down to save my life, might want to practice that some more in the sim, I like how you move jet to around the place.
Ah yeah dude that's definitely one you can get by practicing in the simulator. It's a bit scary having to punch the throttle so hard and pitch forwards at the same time but with practice you will get it no problem I'm sure
@@fpvwithpatrick you break it down like that, it makes it sound super simple 😅
@@basquiatfpv anything is possible if you believe 😆
Try gemfan 4934 💚😉 top flight bro ✌
Yeah I tried them bro! But I preferred HQ Prop 😁 thanks dude!! 🙏🙏
Nice review video...
Thanks a lot bro, appreciate it 👊🙏
great video mate.i still think the j37 are for me but the j40 do a great job.
Yeah the J40 feel a bit less power right?
@@fpvwithpatrick a little.I feel the j37 has more response in turns etc.
@@fpvchrissyboy4180 Ah makes sense!
How do you get some much hang time while invert yaw? I'm running bf4. 5 and second I touch yaw even lightly I fly towards the ground
Good question! For me the key is to get a really big throttle boost upwards first, the quickly flip upside down and completely cut your throttle to zero. If you do this you will still be travelling upwards even though you are upside down. Then do an inverted yaw (the slower the better. If you do fast, the props spin faster and pull you to the ground faster). Make sure your throttle is at zero during the yaw. If you combine all of this, it will give you more hang time and the illusion that you are floating upside down for longer. If you have high kv motors for the initial throttle boost it helps as you will go higher with more power. The version of BF you are running does not make a difference (although your throttle idle may make a difference. I run 4.5, I think default is 5.5 but it's not a big deal tbh).
What your PID seeting for rate profile??
I use the Supafly 5 inch preset in BF4.4 for my PIDs. For my rates I use Betaflight rates. Pitch and roll 870, yaw 588. Expo 0. Check my Instagram (fpvwithpatrick) profile highlights if you want to see the curve
@@fpvwithpatrick tq bro
how it compares to j37? which one feel better?
Personally I prefer J37. The J40 have a lot of control and smoothness but feel slightly less powerful at the low end compared to the J37. Also when you scuff them and bend them they lose a lot of power
How do these compare to the Ethic P3.3 Mango Lassi's?
I really love the mango lassi props. These have a lot less low throttle power whereas the mango lassi feel more sensitive to throttle and faster. The J40 might be better for proximity. They are both smooth. I did a mango lassi review video also, you will find it in my videos
@@fpvwithpatrick I saw the mango lassi video before so I was just curious as to how you feel they stack up. I’ve been running the mangos for a few months but you are a much better pilot than I am so I appreciate your input.
@@JuicySmullietFPV ah gotcha. I prefer the slightly tamer J40 for proxy. But if you have lower kv motors then the mango lassis might be better. Plenty of punch and very smooth cruising. My biggest concern with the J40s is that if you crash and scuff them they lose a lot of power as they are quite slim. Personally I prefer the J37. The slightly lower pitch is better IMO but all down to personal preference I suppose
