I really like the way this season is going. Having Taylor aboard is such a breath of fresh air. She's delightful, and that has taken what was a really good channel already and made it even better.
I believe I'm quite smitten with your new crewmate Bobby.. Taylor, you are perfect, and have added a level of support I don't think was there for the Captain before. Safe sailing!
All viewers like my humble self can tell the hard work you put in to get from losing your boat to a hurricane to back onboard a spectacular one such as your new ship. You are an example worth talking about. And please accept the following dime of wisdom (you decide if it is!): ''Class shall forever outshine headlights...'' Keep posting, I love following.
I can’t help myself! I have to comment again what a breath of fresh air Taylor is. Bobby you seem grounded and less stressed. She’s such a good helper and fantastic with the dogs. Enjoy her lovely company. Did I say she is great for the channel! LOL. So glad you are happier! I was starting to worry. ❤️❤️❤️ Mother Marian.
Wow what a gorgeous sailboat. I just found and subscribed to your channel. Thank goodness that Maverick will be ok, it's so scary when our pets have health issues. Does he still like those treats?? Stay safe, Hugs 😊❤🐕☀️⛵⛵
I`ve got a record worthy Concorde battery. The builder of my RV-4 put it in, while building the airplane) in 1998. Everything was wet acid back then. I replaced it in 2004. Used it through last summer for my lawn tractor and it still holds a charge!
Relativity new to your channel and really enjoying. So glad to that Maverick is going to be ok. Oh and yeah I like the white sunglasses. Glad you got more. I love it!!! Look forward to all Doodles. Sincerely, Michelle, Pup Harley and Kitty Liam from Arlington, Massachusetts.
Suggested modification to the doodle loading platform, run the two short ropes through stiff tubing to prevent the platform from tipping when their weight is on the outer edge.
Also screw or staple some thin rug on the dog ramp for their comfort and traction and overlapping rug will further protect the side of the boat as the pipe insulation will wear quickly.
Hey guys, We keep our boat S/V Noor Lagom at Spring Cove Marina on B Dock. If you are ever in the area again and need transportation look me up I’d be happy to accommodate. BTW, thanks for the sticker you left on the bulletin board by the store. It is being proudly displayed on my Companion Way glass.
Im thinking you’ll need to stiffen the board against the hull with 2 vertical stanchions so as they climb into the platform the board won’t climb up the hull at the padded contact point. 😉
AGM is the way to go--but only if the charge controllers are set to match the battery specs! If you just throw them in to replace wet lead, you may be throwing out your money way faster. Matching them can make the difference between 3 years and six.
Have you priced an aircraft battery for a Citation lately??? Count your blessings! Definition of a boat : Noun, A hole in the water surrounded by wood, steel, aluminum, fiberglass or a combination of the aforementioned, where one pours countless hours and dollars into. Good luck! Happy sailing!
Welcome back after your extended spring break ... it looks like you're getting back to your roots, hints of the first night crossing the Gulf. It's good to see a dose of reality when the batteries are no bueno` ... Safe travels.
Did you look at lithium iron phosphate batteries? They are usable down to twenty percent charge instead of fifty percent. If you buy them from Battle Born, their one hundred amp hour batteries are usable for the full one hundred amp hours. They are warranted for ten years but as soon as their ALT (Accelerated Life Test) using reasonable activation energies, indicate more, they plan on extending their warranties. The initial cost is higher than AGM but their life is a a whole bunch -longer which makes them a whole lot cheaper over the life of the battery. They also do not out gas therefore they don't have to be vented. That will be a whole lot safer in your salon.
For what its worth Bobby I think you have put together the right formula ... the right stuff , the girls , the dogs and fun in the sun on a Sail boat. In any case good luck , and thanks for what's to come.
As a owner of a ski boat in Kentucky....Bobby & I both know what boat really stands for. For those that doesn't know....it stands for "Bring Out Another Thousand". Bobby really understands that now. Thank for sharing my friend. Continue on. .
Petty soon New Crews voice will be like nails on chalkboard! Laura took this channel to a whole new level! Period! Good news Taylor is willing to sit and edit. And sooner or later she will embrace her real job! Build those numbers! Laura has millions of views! Could be interesting! Ehh?
Hey Bobby, great idea, I've been trying to figure out basically the same thing, but I think for my big dog, I'll go 3'x3' with a 2"x2" lip around the edge and shag carpet so they don't slip, they're claws can grip the carpet... thanks for the awesome idea... were leaving Hampton Virginia hopefully end of the week.... hope to run into you...
Bobby, they now make hoses that can connect banks of batteries (golf carts) to enable watering from a single point, watering thru the caps. Check it out at a local golf course.
I imagine you will have a few bugs to work out on the boat before you get it the way you want it. Of course there will always be something to work on, it's a boat. But its looking good Bobby. Glad to see Mav's going to be ok.
Bobby, Taylor, Taylor, I am sorry, but I had my doubts at first, BUT I think you are going to be a great first mate. You are Beautiful, You are not afraid to work, and You are a self-starter I am looking forward to the next adventure. Gary 76-Year-Old Past Saylor, Past Pilot, Owned a Cessna 195 for 42 years, A&P, IA, and home shop machinist. I Envy you....
might I suggest that you put your batteries on skids or rails and fasten a line to the far ones, so that you can slide them out one by one for easier maintenance
If you can find it, feed Maveric some canned pumpkin. Not pie filling, but actual pumpkin. It works like a charm for our dogs when they have a digestive issue.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about the CT. Love those boats and plan to have one of my own in the not to distant future. I think you're the only sailing channel with a CT.
Very sweet Sailboat Bobby, glad you are a real ⛵ and not a Cat. When will the new sails be install? How many rooms does she have on her? Is she fast in the water for her Size. Great to have live music onboard. Bet you get to sleep fast with the awesome guitar 🎸 music. Take care.
I just re-subscribed Bobby. I didn't think I would ever do that, but I am giving you another shot. You now sail on your own boat, and Taylor impresses me as someone who won't take much crap so for now, fair winds and following seas.
oh yeah his inverter charger is made to charge 4 to 6 12vdc batteries when you have 6 vdc batteries when you hook up 2 in series 12 vdc 464 amp hr as his 1 12 vdc is about 95 amp hr
I would say make it longer and make it more like a ramp with hooks that connect to the lip of the boat and hangs off just above the dingy or even into it so it will be more stable. make it so you can leave it there just hanging until you come back then you just pull it back up and lay it flat on the deck
Bobby - some how I think you are going to be fans with the team at Precision Sails again - try a triradial build with 3 reefs made from Contenders Pro Hydrid Warp woven Spectra/Dacron.Duralble - cheaper than a fancy laminate and will hold its shape.
I really like the way this season is going. Having Taylor aboard is such a breath of fresh air. She's delightful, and that has taken what was a really good channel already and made it even better.
Taylor is the definition of a class act...keep her safe and treat her well!

"Headed to the Caribbean !" Do it again!! You are quite the mechanic. Good job.
Wow what a gorgeous sailboat.

Taylor is a lovely person! Great work and knowledge with batteries. Such a positive attitude from both of you.

Nice. Animal lovers go to any extreme no matter how simple to make things better for their pets. And in my life my pets are my family

I'm excited to see some new sails on this boat. You picked a beauty Bobby.

Maverick thought you were making him walk the plank!
Taylor appears that she will be a great addition to Sailing Doodles this season. Way to go Bobby!!

What doe HOUSE stand for? I have spent far more on home repairs than I have in 40 years of boat ownership.
@@pavichapin I agree with you there too my friend. I've spent plenty on the one I'm in too. They aren't cheap.
Your good vibe is back and I am back aboard (watching that is).
so cool seeing boating with dogs, very informative.
Good 2 c ya back on the water..
Good call getting all new batteries, one less thing to worry about. Also nice dog ramp rig. On to the adventure.
What a beauty of a ship, love it!
Good job on the batteries and the ramp, Bobby!
I like you new crew mate she has a nice calming influence and hasn’t said “hey Bobby” once
Or Bobalishious
Petty soon New Crews voice will be like nails on chalkboard!
Laura took this channel to a whole new level! Period!
Good news Taylor is willing to sit and edit. And sooner or later she will embrace her real job!
Build those numbers!
Laura has millions of views!
Could be interesting! Ehh?
Taylor seems very sweet and chill. I think she’s already doing very well at “her real job”.
to match the sails find a whole bunch of bullet hole stickers, who makes them in pirate cannon size?
I reckon the sunnies are your trademark Bobby, thumbs up
Hey Bobby, great idea, I've been trying to figure out basically the same thing, but I think for my big dog, I'll go 3'x3' with a 2"x2" lip around the edge and shag carpet so they don't slip, they're claws can grip the carpet... thanks for the awesome idea... were leaving Hampton Virginia hopefully end of the week.... hope to run into you...
Since this video we have changed to a 2ft x 4ft platform. 2x2 wasn’t big enough for them to land on well.
Very very cute dogs
Nice edit Bobby and great to have your format back which includes Taylor who I think will be an asset 👍
Taylor is *really* nice. I'm looking forward to watching more!
Bobby, they now make hoses that can connect banks of batteries (golf carts) to enable watering from a single point, watering thru the caps. Check it out at a local golf course.
Taylor is awesome . Can't wait to hear her music. Canadian girls are the best. Looking forward to watching your videos.
beautiful boat
Best boat...best crew EVER...really like seeing you TWO working together, tackling daily projects. TEAMWORK builds lasting bonds and character.
Glad the doggies are ok
Bad news good news with the Mav. What a bummer on the batteries. You should be good to go now!
Can't wait to see & hear Taylor playing some tunes for us!!!
I love the electric wincher, it looked like Taylor was posed with a chain saw, ready to clear that pesky mast!
Loving the channel! It is cool seeing the maintenance and Taylor. When do you get your new sails?
Taylor seems really cool!
Cool solution for the pups. I am sure you will tune it in just fine.
Laura was good scenery....but Taylor seems like good company...and that's always better in the long run.
Love the new boat, the new crew, the new season! We'll done sir!
I imagine you will have a few bugs to work out on the boat before you get it the way you want it. Of course there will always be something to work on, it's a boat. But its looking good Bobby.

Boat sails nicely.
Big dogs Big dog problems.Good Luck!
Awesome video! Thanks for the great entertainment!!
Keep it up!

Gotta say that's a awesome looking boat
You knew you were pushing your luck on those batteries...the luck ran out...poor dog :(
"Turned into a mission", well said... It seems like that happens a lot.
I thought you were waiting on another crew member, last we heard her plane was a little late, did she decide not to sail?
Three is a crowd.
The repair and maintenance videos will make great content!!
White sunglasses your trademark 🖖🏻😃
I'm enjoying this season. Good job on the batteries.
You really need a carved figurehead on that Clipper bow!
A Wolpertinger would be nice;-)
@@svens.5139 I was thinking of something a little more sensual..like maybe a mermaid.😊

The joy's of the DIY boat owner.
Taylor you look like you will be a real good crew member.Enjoy enjoy. :)
Great episode! Love your workarounds for problems, excellent troubleshooting.
Glad to see you on the water in your own boat. Do you have pet insurance and did your new other crew member arrive?
Good episode Bobby. Love the new boat and Taylor.
YES!!! More white frame sunglasses! Greatness!
Good luck on looking after dogs whill on the water. 💜💜🤘🤘
The joys of owning a new old boat.
Those old Cruising boats make a beautiful motion on the water.
Bobby, Are you going to stop in Wilmington NC. Let us in NC know. Would like to meet you and the crew.

You need a bigger dinghy. Especially for the dogs
That’s the life!!
Great stuff. Sail on
Good job. Guys
I think the puppies want a bigger platform to land on. They can see they won't fit before they go.
