My paraphrase on V. Budnik's song. The melody of the song is very tender and warm, sad and even dramatic. The song tells about a girl-dressmaker who has been sewing a dress for a bride for a whole week and cries all the time. She grieves that she will never get married, she will not have children, because her betrothed, obviously a sailor, went to sea and did not return: the sea swallowed him.
I created it for Two Flutes and Piano and also for Two Flutes and String Orchestra.
