Having that rapport with your viewers, which I've seen yourself do too Nagzz, builds up a community where everyone feels safe to set themselves loose and relax with their fellow viewers. On the parasocial angle, I see it more like being at a pub where you see and talk to the regulars. Super admirable, and I aspire to have that kind of interaction.

I enjoy these videos most of the time,but please play out the clips when/if they are started,some of them cut short and missing the punchline and/or extra content,like the Kroni one. \o
sometimes they go too long, there are a lot of submissions and the recording when live actually goes on about twice as long as the video, and to quote nagzz, "I decide when to cut the video off, or if a video is skipped and not added to the youtube video if its kind of a weak clip", I'm paraphrasing, now when they are from super long videos, we add time stamps to the submission, over a 150 submissions go in the random number generator and he decides how many to gacha pull from, so this is why it is this way.
When it comes to the Parasocial vs "Symbiotic", I think it's true, a healthy relationship between entertainer and viewer is that the entertainer cares for their viewers enough to want to create fun content for them, and the viewer supporting the entertainer. The problem comes when the entertainer exploits the viewers' goodwill for their own gain, or when the viewer going too far with their support, and seizing to be individuals, while also ignoring the entertainer's wishes. An example of the latter for me is Taylor Swift. I have no connection to her as an artist, but looking at how much buzz she is generating and how far her fans are going are... concerning. Most of them are insanely supportive, but to the point where they feel like a hivemind that will support her no matter what she does, but also consume whatever she does, no matter the personal opinion is. Like, the matches she was supporting reached at least a 9% increase in total, with 50% boost to the demographic of 12-17 y.o. Meanwhile some viewers are also going too far in their care for entertainers. Stalkers are the obvious one, but then there are moments like Jenna Ortega and "Miller's Girl" where people where saying how creepy it was for her to do this movie with scenes that the movie included and the age difference, completely ignoring her own agency in all of this, where people on set had to go "no, she was active in making that scene what it was"
To be clear, there is nothing wrong with parasocial relationships. That just means any not in-person relationships. As stated, it only is a problem once the line starts to blur between viewing the parasocial as just social. As stated moderation in all things.

I enjoy these videos most of the time,but please play out the clips when/if they are started,some of them cut short and missing the punchline and/or extra content,like the Kroni one. \o
sometimes they go too long, there are a lot of submissions and the recording when live actually goes on about twice as long as the video, and to quote nagzz, "I decide when to cut the video off, or if a video is skipped and not added to the youtube video if its kind of a weak clip", I'm paraphrasing, now when they are from super long videos, we add time stamps to the submission, over a 150 submissions go in the random number generator and he decides how many to gacha pull from, so this is why it is this way.

When it comes to the Parasocial vs "Symbiotic", I think it's true, a healthy relationship between entertainer and viewer is that the entertainer cares for their viewers enough to want to create fun content for them, and the viewer supporting the entertainer. The problem comes when the entertainer exploits the viewers' goodwill for their own gain, or when the viewer going too far with their support, and seizing to be individuals, while also ignoring the entertainer's wishes.
An example of the latter for me is Taylor Swift. I have no connection to her as an artist, but looking at how much buzz she is generating and how far her fans are going are... concerning. Most of them are insanely supportive, but to the point where they feel like a hivemind that will support her no matter what she does, but also consume whatever she does, no matter the personal opinion is. Like, the matches she was supporting reached at least a 9% increase in total, with 50% boost to the demographic of 12-17 y.o.
Meanwhile some viewers are also going too far in their care for entertainers. Stalkers are the obvious one, but then there are moments like Jenna Ortega and "Miller's Girl" where people where saying how creepy it was for her to do this movie with scenes that the movie included and the age difference, completely ignoring her own agency in all of this, where people on set had to go "no, she was active in making that scene what it was"
I know Pomu is doing alright but damn I miss her sense of humor.
