@@aki2662 Portland was down 3 starters for over half the season combined last year so decided to tank.. Which was a great decision ending up with the 3rd pick.. So how do you know if OKC is better?
The reason so many people clown on you for it I think is mostly the comment "That's a bad shot" and like DeMar said for Dame people think it's not a bad shot cause he could shoot that with confidence. Demar brought up a great point. Dame somewhat established his range with that shot. Once he hit it, you knew he could hit shots from that range but until then…how do you know a dude is capable of that until it happens? Yeah PG was emotional when he said it was a bad shot but that definitely wasn’t the best shot that Dame probably could have gotten. That shot is definitely one of the greatest shots I’ve ever seen go in.
@@jimbojimbo6873 He'd hit from that distance several times alone during the course of that series. And he showed he had the range before that. But that side step fall away was different for sure.

Sadly, even tho PG13 is a future HOF, unless he wins a championship or have another iconic play to hide it, I feel like Lillard's buzzer beater is so iconic that it will always be linked to his name as the player who was defending him (plus the “it's a bad shot” comment)
Being a Portland fan I'm biased of course, but if you take into account the distance and difficulty where nobody takes those kinda shots to win games and it was a last second shot to win a series, there's not really any better. Comparable but not better.
It's because in the bubble, he started calling himself "Playoff P"... then went and had 10pts in their Game 7 exit. In the playoffs, he had games of 14, 11, 9, 10, 10. Not what you expect from a Supermax star who calls himself "Playoff P" 🙃
The Playoff P moment to then not have a single good showing after in that Jazz series. Then against Portland, immediately after an awful game he shows up with ice and bandages around his shoulder. And then him with the “i dont care; thats a bad shot” after getting gamed. Him talking trash on social media to Dame in 2020 “we competing for a championship this year”- “keep switching teams. You boys is chumps” to then blow a 3-1 lead and he was awful for much of it. There was some Pat Bev stuff going on that leaked into the PG hate too bc they were both on the Clippers. Kawhi caught some slander too but only for his play in game 6 and 7 bc he dont be setting himself up to look like a fool.
Love PG man.. he’s always in good spirit.. he’s humble and confident at the same time.. although I hate the clippers I can root against this dude.. such a nice guy.. and in his prime he was a monster..
the best thing to happen for PG is this podcast. That Dame situation made people sour on him. He shows he can laugh at himself. which makes people like you. especially if thats your true personality.

Especially when Dame has gotten an easy layup in the last 2 Portland possessions. You gotta force him to take a tough shot at that point. Dame ain't gonna leave time on the clock after calling an iso so you need a tough shot from him. Credit to him because he is the greatest clutch shot maker of this generation and he is the greatest clutch shot maker beyond the 3 point line in the history of the game and he has outrageous range. It wasn't a bad shot by him but it wasn't the easiest shot you could get. Especially when the game is tied and a layup or one made free throw is good enough to win you the game and the series.
