Thanks for all the videos - I found them super useful incl some of the Udemy video you did. Would you consider doing a video on how to let customer change currency display as I’m building a global marketplace and the currency exchange can become very complex. Thank you!
Awesome series of videos. I purchased the Course on your website and have run into an issue and would appreciate your assistance. On section 3, at the 30:48 mark when I run a preview of the experience and press connect account I get the following error "Plugin action Stripe Connect - Create Onboarding Link error parsing the response: the key error is not part of the btype definition." On the stripe side, I can see the account created however its status is "restricted" stating the account owner needs to provide more information to stripe. Any idea how to resolve this? It seems as though the workflow should take the user to this step on Stripes onboarding platform however it gives me an error instead.
Happy to help with this! Could you shoot me an email (lachlan@buildingwithbubble.com) with a screenshot of the error message. I'll do some searching and see what might be causing this.
@@BuildingWithBubble I continued to watch the video and you 100% mentioned this towards the end of the video, I got it working. Thanks for a prompt reply!!
Is it possible to create plans on our marketplace? Depending on the plans chosen by sellers, the commission I take as marketplace creator on the sale of their products will be different? For example, if the seller uses a free plan on my marketplace, I'll take a 20% commission. However, if they opt for a paid plan on my marketplace, I'll only take a 5% commission. Is it possible to implement this type of functionality? Thanks in advance !
Great question! Yes, this is definitely possible. You'd essentially just need to build two versions of the same workflow, but with separate conditions that trigger each option. When it comes to the total commission you'd take, you can update this is both workflows to cater for each plan option. Hope this helps!
Great tutorial. Quick question, what happens when an order is for products from multiple sellers? Do I need to create another datatype called "all orders" and reference the separate order datatype unique IDs? to combine into one transaction? or do I keep them separate and charge separately with separate transactions as per your example?
Great question. While I've personally never built this feature out in the past, I'd suggest going with the first option. You could charge the user one transaction, then split the payment out across each vendor who received the sale. I'd recommend checking out the Bubble community forum to see if there's any additional insights on something like this. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
Thanks! I have paid for your course@@BuildingWithBubble very useful! totally recommend. Only thing it doesn't cover is, is it possible to setup an option only to release payment to the seller after they accept an order? instead of automatically paying them i'd like to only pay them after they hit the 'accept order button'
@@tara-mareefield2293 You're in luck! The plugin developer has created a tutorial about holding the payment from an order here: ua-cam.com/video/vartHP3aI8U/v-deo.html Hope this helps!
Great work thank you! I need generous help: my app is based in the US. I have a merchant in Peru that wants to sell tickets in local Soles currency. I have another merchant in Peru that wants to sell tickets in USD. I tried to read the stripe documentation and they mentioned cross-border payouts and recipient service agreement, but I'm not understanding how to apply this to bubble. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is worth a paid call, I am open to that. Thanks again for these videos.
Happy to help where I can. My first point of call would be reaching out to Stripes support to see if your account is configured to enable this kind of service. Have you had the chance to reach out to them yet?
This is perfect for the event web app tutorial as well.. Great work!
Glad it could help ✌
Thank you for this.
Not a problem ✌
Thanks for this video. By any chance can you do a video for a cleaning service booking system
Glad it could help! And I don't at the moment, but I'd be happy to add this to my list 👌
