One word about FZ25 - Underrated.... People still prefer the top speed of R15 to the amazing low end torque of the FZ25......A sensible and practical customer will always go for FZ25 ❤️❤️❤️
Depends actually, r15s VVA is an unique in motoring world specially in 150 cc with a brilliant power to wght ratio It's very difficult to equate on that technicality even for ktm. Fz250 engine is tried and tested worldwide by Yamaha and its also a gem of engineering work, fz is cool and composed for long tours without any hassle or discomfort. It can also ride preety fast!!!
People say, "Fz25 , have only 5 gears..
I am suprised to see, "Gixxer 250 crusing at 104kmph on 6th gear at 6,700rpm" whereas, "Fz25 cruising at 103kmph on 5th gear at 6,500 rpm".
Throttle anyfurther, both engines are going to take a hard task, than what's the use of that 6th gear on Gixxer & Why taunting Fz25 for only 5 gears 😂😂😂.
Same goes for NS, Apache, Gixxer, Dominar vs Fz25..
No Doubt other bikes have much high speed, But at what cost!? at 8000+ rpm right?
It will damage the engine badly for long run
Even Fz25 can go at that speed on that rpm

And for how much time will you use that high speed, af 8000+ rpm which will vibrate all your bones? 😂😂😂

I don't really need 6th gear. But Slipper clutch would've been nice
Top speed is useless for most users. What matters is the low and mid range performance and fz is a beast in low and mid range. So it's most practical bike

Even all automobile review youtubers are fools. They have no idea of rpm is also important for cruising. They only criticise fz25 for 5 gears. Firstly see the rpms what they are cruising in.
My Question for those who are saying 6th gear lacks in fz25 - If 6th gear make cruising speed better and better fuel efficiency then why particular company not giving 7th gear 😂 for more cruising and fuel economy.????????

People in the comment section fighting over the top speed !! Yamaha has clearly stated that this is more of a city oriented bike ! Would you seriously ride at 154 kmph in the cities ? Test ride this machine once and you would understand what yamaha has done ! And you people think a company like yamaha is dumb when it gives 20ps for a 250 cc ..this is meant for city and occasional touring !!! Leave the specs on paper and test ride this !

Nice video and rightly said that FZ25 is the most fuel efficient,easy to ride,light weight ,easy on pocket,practical and budget friendly amongst all the 250cc motorbikes.i have bought one and very happy with my decision
Owned an FZ S in 2009 and it was so different at that time. Now, there isn't anything special about any Yamaha product so far. It has potential and I hope there will be products worth it soon. Happy riding!
Yeah exactly. Nowadays yamaha products don't have the road presence that they used to have back in the day.
Just 1 thing I don't like is The Digital Meter Console... It's Too Small.. 🤏
My 125cc Shine has a Much Good Looking & Big meter console....

@@rayan8847 R15 and MT 15 share a same platform, whereas FZ series shares other. May be that's why they offer different kind of console..

Can you please tell me an effective way to ride the bike during it's engine break in period?
@@devanandvs3268 what I did for the first 1000km is...
1. never went beyond 65kmpl (4200rpm)
2. haven't done rapid acceleration or retardation (although I was itching to do that)
3. shifted gear on a lower rpm so the rev doesn't go high and the bike operates smoothly.
It was my 3rd bike, and I followed this instruction since i bought my first bike. and to be honest all of them performed excellent in their tenure.

@@devanandvs3268 I have done Kolkata ride up-down (aprx 1300km) with average speed of 85-95 got mileage of 46km/l. Also I have done high altitude rides in sikkim, and the bike perfomed like a beast. I would suggest you to watch videos on how to ride bike while on breaking period from motorcyclist like Shumi, Kartikeya shinghee, sagar sheldekar and many more knowledgeable persons. I hope to clear out your doubts

they should have given better display....just like R15 the current one is too small and should have offered radial tires and all led indicator would be a better choice
Now the price of Fzs25 reduces Rs.19000/-(approx.) lesser than before the price. So, I think this is the best affordable 250cc Naked Tourer motorcycle, which competes with Pulsar NS 200 and Apache RTR 200 4V. And for 250cc motorcycle, this would be the best affordable motorcycle, it won't able to compete with other 250cc motorcycles. Before that Yamaha FZ25 & FZS25 bs6 bikes were not selling before the BS4 FZ25, because of overpriced. So, Yamaha had done a great job regarding to Customers feedback, which some of the FZ25 lovers can't able to afford because of this Issue. Hats off to @YamahaMotorIndia for reducing the price of FZ25 & FZS25 on behalf of BS6 emission norms... 🤝🤝🤝🤝👏👏👏👏👏
Which one is better between fz25 and appache 200
It's a perfect machine for both highway and city commute but Iam still not convinced to buy this one because of the dashboard consol is not that impressive coz we can tour it when touring we need more specific information in front of our eyes for a hassle free ride. The one update can make this bike more perfection than other 250 segments. Make sense?

U can ride max of 8 hrs continuous without brake ❤️ it's very comfortable

yamaha india should provide 6th Gear on the new model and also in existing model to customers who already bought the bs6 version even at an additional cost
Just do sprocket mod and convert 5th gear ratio to the 6th gear accordingly

Hey buddy ! I've booked an Apache Race Edition 200 4v. The thing is FZ25 is also available at the same price. What would have been a better option ? Apache or Fz25 ? Will get the apache delivered by this Monday.

Rearview mirrors of Yamaha FZ25 is USELESS.
Half of view is covered by yourself, only half of BACKSIDE views is actually visible to Riders. (Bro Why you didn't tell your viewers HONESTLY about this issue).
I took out both rearview mirrors and throw it away.
Nowadays I'm using KTM Rearview Mirrors, It is very helpful as you can view your Backside views WHOLE.
I Advise to ALL FZ25 OWNERS if you guys having trouble with it's Rearview mirrors, than give it a Try to KTM Rearview mirrors... You won't regret, Your Rearview mirrors Problem issue would be SOLVED.

Hello... Need your suggestion. Presently am using Xpulse 200 4V. Initially i thought of doing off-roading, tours, highway cruising etc while buying Xpulse. but hard reality is am using it as a city bike for 25 Kms daily commuting. Suspension set-up is excellent and getting 37-39 KMPL mileage in my xpulse. Am thought of changing bike, as xpulse is not that comfortable for city and it is not made for that. My requirements are Daily 30 Kms travel in city, Little power to overtake vehicles in city condition, good economy mileage (atleast 40+ KMPL), Pillion comfort for my mother & wife, good suspension,upright seating position. My usage will be 80% in city and 20% open roads, speed limit will be less than 100 KMPH. I have short listed 3 bikes i.e. FZ 25, Gixxer 250 and Hornet 2.0. Please suggest one amongst as per my requirements.

@Nishan K never on a 0-100 run. This lacks topspeed and that is where the apache scores.
@Nishan KYes but commuter is about reaching from A to B comfortably and FZ does it + Yamaha reliability. You can commute/tour on FZ much better than Apache.
@Nishan K more than* 6nm torque difference bro plus a bit of weight is actually good on the windy highways (it got low centre of gravity too). All the bikes you've suggested are surely very good, but FZ just does things much better.

@Nishan K point A to B with comfort is the word. And I'm talking about long commutes on both hills and plains plus some touring. My transition from 150 to 200cc with ~50k premium was totally worth it. More torque = less stressed engines. Compared to other 250s, this makes the most sense.
Edit: Considering an upgrade to 250s.

Ya this motor is little bit slower than r15 but in our city Fz25 is the best, with itz low end torque.
Riding a slower motor cycle faster is more fun than a faster motorcycle slower.

R15 V3 does 145kmph despite being a 155cc bike, has a mileage of 45+ and costs less 🤷🏻
R15 can only do 136 km rest is speedoerror
Not a practical bike, ergonomics & pillion seat are two main issue. Anyway it is suitable for a certain set of riders. Above 28 yrs to 40 yrs its a pretty good commuter cum tourer

@@shyam5631 gps can't tell you the accurate speed 😂 that is the error and that's not gps purpose I can give precise position not speed speedometer is more accurate as it is a mechanical part reading live feedback
@@mathi3623 GPS don't measure speed. It tells you how fast you get from point A to B ("there will be a delay but if you wait for 10 seconds it's fine")which is more accurate than the speedo used on Bajaj bikes.

I remember back in 2014 whn i entered yamaha showroom & in the forst glance i was sure my bike will be fz16 v1.
Now, seeing the styling of competition like apache 200 hornet or even the ageing pulser NS, yamaha has ruined it's fz line up let it be in design front or tech front(like its display)
Absolutely agree. It has become too polarizing now. Original FZ was love at first sight but, fast forward today and it has not been upgraded the way it deserved.

You can't get the actual performance of a 250cc engine with a 5 speed gear box.
MT 15 is much better option.
If you only want big displacement numbers then go for fz25
Mt15 is seriously not a better option than fz25...it doesn't have dual channel abs.. Plus the pillion seat is just of no use.. And Mt will never be close to fz25 when it comes to 0 to 100
Logical people will go for fz25 ...it's more fun, more comfortable, got more torque,
WTF man, 0 to 100 if you are doing, do it with some competence else don't do it at all, 10 sec is the highest i have seen for fz25 and that's only on this channel.
Gixxer25 is way better than fz25, unfortunately.
