Diatonic Triads exercise #2

  • This practice exercise video takes the diatonic triads in key of C on a C harmonica and repeats each of them 3 times before moving on to the next chord. There are no bent notes in this exercise. This will give you a great foundation for tackling the same chord arpeggios in the first octave where you need to bend notes to to play many of the arpeggios. The Fletch harmonica tab invented by Winslow Yerxa shows you the hole numbers and breathing patterns for each 3 note arpeggio.

    Richard: I for one like the new font better. It seems I digest if faster when scanning it.

    Yes, like this too, and the 3 x repetition of each arpeggio better for me. Maybe a version with a gap between each different arpeggio to help with the mindfulness, and for people gradually building being able to play all the arpeggios up and down in a row? 😊

      You could always play two reps and listen for the third rep... that would give you a gap...
