People treat tourists very nicely in the British Virgin Islands. You can travel on foot anywhere with no worries. I grew up there and moved away to school in 1983. If you ever come back, come back for Carnival which is basically the last week of July and the first week of August. Plan to spend at minimum 1 week, but 2 weeks is a good amount of time to see the great beaches we have.
I love how you guys walk around in unknown areas....so glad that you turned around when you did....never been to Tortola....reminds me of St Thomas. Love the vids...watch them when you upload them!
I loved Ting! I used to get it all the time in Dominica, and cold ones were one of the most refreshing things when I was burning up from being outside in the heat! They sell it at most grocery stores here in South Florida in the ethnic food aisle, so I was happy to see that :-)
Actually it does happen more then you think.....We did our cruise about 6 weeks a ago, 2 people were left behind in Belize, they caught up at our next port.
Enjoyed the video! I'm visiting that port this fall, and also like to just get out and explore on foot. usually the videos are just the postcard type views, but when I actually get there its just like your video. By about the 15th taxi driver that solicits my business I ignore them and wonder what part of not interested don't they understand. Do any of the roads appear to follow the waterfront?
I have not noticed you using any gps system like Waze to get around the different towns and ports. If you don't maybe you should use one to help you cover the area better in the time you have. You can start using some when you have wifi and the system continues to work even after you have left the wifi hot spot.
StylleFiles13 We tried in Nassau last year, but had issues with the wi-fi working. We actually like to just "wander" when we're exploring, but when we rent a car we use a map and GPS if possible. :)
Andreas Z We have the Norwegian Escape booked this Fall, the Norwegian Star booked for 2016 & we want to add a Norwegian Sky in Aug. or Sept. of this year. We're also looking at the Enchantment of the Seas again this Fall, and the MSC Divina. :) We went on the Regal Princess this April, and those vlogs will follow our Costa vlogs.
I have to disagree with booking on the ship, try using TripAdvisor or Cruise Critic you can find a lot of shore excursions away from booking on the ship for great rates and they will get you back on the boat on time as this is their business, We do it all the time all over the world and have never had an issue. But love your vlog
+markjwu I know there are lots of great companies who get passengers back on time every day around the world, but IF in the unlikely event there were something that happened on shore and they couldn't make it back on time the ship would not wait for the passengers unless they were booked on a ship excursion. It's a matter of comfort I guess. If you're okay with that possibility you can really find some great tours at great prices off ship. I've done some myself. :)
Non-BVIslanders CAN purchase property in the BVI. You would first need to apply for a Land Holder's Licence from the Government. There are many local law firms that assist clients with this process. Hope this helps!
I heard you comment that Mahnara was "her daughter, my daughter, our daughter" im so confused lol if you don't mind me asking which children "belong" to whom? I can see from your videos they respect you both as a parental figure which is great they're so well behaved and lovely.
Hi! It is slightly confusing but we do explain the whole family who's who's situation in our Sister's Talk vlog's on our With The Donohos channel. The episode is called Sperm Bank Babies ua-cam.com/video/Hecy-8hf340/v-deo.html
Sea Cruisers thank you so much, I searched for a video but must have been blind hehehe. I am absolutely loving your videos and enjoying catching up ok them all even if it does keep me awake far to long! Lol
In our older vlogs we filmed with a DSLR camera, and had to try and keep it manually focused, or set it on automatic, which took a few seconds to focus. Now we use a camera with infinity focus so it's not blurry.

***** You can find some neat little places off the beaten path, and it really gives you the "feel" of the island, and life there.

We love Tortola! We looked at buying a home but you cannot buy as a US citizen 🙁

I didnt think you could take produce on the ship?
Tammy Boyd You can't, but you can take sealed beverages, which we did. :)
Silly question.. what are u paying with? Card? Cash?
Can’t figure out on these vids, if my eyes are blurry or the camera is out of focus. But a lot of stuff has been blurry.
