My company used to work out of the shop directly behind this guy. Id see him building some crazy ass Crown Vic Baja Monster contraption and the thing looked mean. Its cool to see his shop putting out top notch builds and parts not only for the N.P. knuckleheads I grew up with, but anyone else who wants quality stuff.
Definitely the episode I’ve been looking forward too, can’t wait to see phase 2.
So excited to see it come back and get the front-end built in phase 2!

@@Kibbetech no questions asked about that deal. Those two just have that big hotrod feel, almost like the show trucks from 4wheel/offroad magazines from the 90’s except extremely capable as well as gorgeous.

Wow for once we see someone went with doing the rear end first! Usually you see some kid in a ranger with long travel in the front and stock leafs in the back 😂
It just work out that way, a lot of development going into the front. Rear was "easier" but a lot more labor intensive and a lot more money in parts than front will be

What front bumper are you running?
For the uneducated/new overlanders. Overlanders need to pay attention to the rock Crawlers and real offroaders. They already have this stuff figured out. They build their vehicles to last and robust. Build your vehicle to be robust on the trail before you buy glamping gear. This my recommendation.
Does the person plan on off-roading at all? Or have you moved all the fuses and modules? I have a SVC built raptor at my shop with fiberglass and no fender liner and he comes back every weekend for new abs modules. Seems stupid to spend so much money then get cheap when it comes to the important stuff

Curious as to why you went with a spool and not something like a eaton truetrack or Detroit locker?
I read cause In sand all the engaging and dis engaging wears them out to fast. A lot of guys who run around in sand use spools

Rad truck. Cool to see my old stomping grounds. We would always take new vehicles for test drives right there. Had a couple crown Vic interceptors side by side way over 80 on that big turn on rancho conejo coming from the city yard. 😁 Good times

Crazy times we are in when ppl make a vid of a built off road truck only to film and talk about on road driving impressions and characteristics .
Did you hear the part where I said “we’ll we don’t live in the desert” also you can tell a lot about handling of a vehicle by driving it on the street. I’ve had some piles I’ve worked on in the past the handled poorly on road that would just be that much worse off road. Also talking about a sway bar on the street gives you a good feel on how it will handle. Either way we’re gaining knowledge and understanding about vehicle dynamics.

I ran a spool on the street once an old d50 that I built and I couldn't keep rear tires on that thing they would wear out so fast from scrubbing
I daily drove on a spool for years. This customer also has 3 other cars to choose from so he aint worried
