Pau’s drum teacher, Beto Ramos, mixed the audio for this concert. TW said they tried make this song longer but all attempts did not sound good. So they recommend that you play it again if you think it’s too short.
Man, wish I could have been there! Unfortunately, I only discovered them in September. I saw some of those Brighton Hall videos. Glad you got to see them!
Love this band, they have a lot of good music out there. Their VMA live performance of "Evolve" is among one of the best i've seen from anyone. They played with most of the crowd not knowing who they were and by the end everyone was rocking out, it was awesome. Good react Gina!
Written when they were pre-/mid teens for and like the rest of their concept album "Queen Of The Murder Scene" - they said, they tried to make it longer, but the song was begging them not to - if you like it, put it on repeat. This is the song that caught Lzzy Hale attention and had her decide to invite them to tour the US with her (and The Pretty Reckless) in 2022.
I enjoy your The Warning reactions. The combination between Ale’s bass, Pau’s drumming and Danny’s voice/guitar is so special. They are so good with their breakdowns and transitions.
They always pour all of their energy out onstage. This is part of _Queen of the Murder Scene,_ a girl's descent into unrequited love, obsession, murder, and madness.
Best 3 minutes in rock they kill at the end. Pau's fills are amazing the bass is thundering and Dany is in beast mode so much fun to watch them jam it out. They are having a ton of fun too so contagious. Great reaction thank you. 🔥⚡
Gina, thanks for continuing to react to The Warning. They are storytellers and therefore almost all songs are 3 to 4 minutes. Those who want extended guitar solos can seek them out elsewhere. The Warning have important things they want to warn the world about.
The Warning playing and recorded this song from their basement studio (The Warning Cave) during the pandemic. It was part of an online concert called DTour. Lzzy Hale, of Halestorm, was also one of the performers. She was so impressed, she invited TW to tour with them twice for around 30 shows. Ultimately, she was moved to gift Dany ( mid performance) a custom made Gibson Explorer Guitar, that she secretly had made to Dany’s Specs.
The Warning document their process of creating a song. Often playing the song raw in their basement studio, trying it out before performing it on stage. There is a video of Dull Knives when The Warning were younger, at home playing to the camera. They sounded as good as the concert you just reacted to. You should see Dany’s fearsome face, glaring at the camera!
TW has various styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!! With its structure, its breaks, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings… The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication. Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain long period of time. They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime vocals, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages. And this happens song after song... INCREDIBLE!! The new rock masters: The Warning. For now I'm subscribing to your channel because I hope to see many reactions from you to my favorite band of all time. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
I wish I could attribute this comment; it's not mine - someone else said it. It's kind of paraphrasing a comment the ladies themselves made in the _Tidal Rising_ documentary. But they note: "Most bands try to replicate their studio sound when playing live. _The Warning_ does precisely the opposite. And they often fail." Kind of says it all, right there - they are a *live* band, first, foremost, and always... which is a major reason people absolutely LOVE to see them perform live. It's what they were born to do.
Nice Reaction, Please React To one of their two newest songs. Hell You Call A Dream "Live ". Or Automatic Sun. Thank you for reacting to The Warning. The Best 3 piece Band there is. IMOP
Well. This song is actually just one single chapter of full story of concept album titled "Queen of the Murder Scene". So in fact there is whole story and "Dull knives" tells only 1/13 of it. So as You can see this is pretty deep rabbit whole...
I’ve seen them 3 times and I’ll be seeing them next Saturday (27th April) in London. I first saw them at the Whisky A Go Go in L.A. In January 2020. I thought there’s no way they’re actually as good as the live videos show. They were unbelievable. The energy, the sound, the love they show their fans. At 57 I thought I’d seen it all. They are my favourite band. If you get a chance to see them live, do it. You’ll be blown away.

Pau, the drummer deciided at age 16 that she and her sisters should make thier second album a concept album about a young womans descent into obssesion, stalking , murder and the consequences, this song is where the girl is contemplating suicide and inflicting pain for her crimes. The Warning tried to make it longer, but longer was never better! So as Dany said “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. They advise to listen to it twice if it is too short!!!😊⚡️
*Dull Knives* a dull knife tears instead of making a clean cut... torn wounds are very hard to repair... in this 9th song of the concept album, "Queen of the Murder Scene" (aka QOTMS), the Queen is considering suicide as one way to possibly stop her evil side from taking hold... by using a dull knife, she is making it harder for someone to stop the bleeding and save her if she is found before she expires... in another of the songs on the QOTMS album, *Sinister Smiles* , the lyrics talk about the water in a tub turning red from blood... this is seen as a female way of suicide because the tub would keep the mess all contained and not mess up other parts of the location... to me, the lyric "I'm plucking roses but keeping the thorns!" is about seeing, gathering, and embracing beauty while retaining only the darkness and gloom that was used to create and protect that beauty... that's some pretty deep stuff, there! TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Ahh yes, the universal opinion… it’s too short. Even the band agrees but the song refused to be lengthened despite their attempts. so the only option is to “play it again!” (Vlog 25). It was however long enough for Lzzy Hale to be mesmerized and immediately offer to tour with them😂

A lot of their songs feel short (and most are, especially compared to 70's AOR like Rush), but I think a lot of that is due to just wanting to listen to more of a good thing and the way they tend to do a hard stop rather than a fadeout.
Te recomiendo que cada vez que pauses el video, antes de darle play de nuevo, lo retrocedas diez segundos ya que pierdes el hilo de la canción y a veces partes a destacar. Saludos!
Thank you! I actually usually always do this and am not sure why I did not on this recording, when I re-watched to edit it, is when i realized I did not role back after pauses and this boggles my mind as well.
Wondering if you've ever heard the band Electric Callboy? Used to be Eskimo Callboy. Would love to see you react to their cover of "Everytime we Touch" or "We've got the Moves" Thanks❤❤
Hehe oh I love electric call boy so for a handful of their songs it will be a reaction of songs I have heard, but I always make sure to make note of that ahead of time. But yes I would love to react to Electric Callboy!
I'm sincerely glad that you like The Warning. The negative is that you managed to really unnecessarily pause THREE times during their shortest song. Doing so, you missed an incredibly-tight, clean, impressive and impactful stop before a chorus and also ruined the pinnacle of the climax of the end of the song.
C’mon… You can’t have things both ways. A reactor doing a true blind reaction doesn’t know when the “appropriate” time is to pause a song. You might say play the whole song and talk after but then reactors have a tendency to skip on observations that are best made in the moment. I could also say if you don’t want the song paused then go listen to the original. Most of us watch reactions…shocking…for the reactions and commentary of the reactor, we probably already know the song.
Pau’s drum teacher, Beto Ramos, mixed the audio for this concert. TW said they tried make this song longer but all attempts did not sound good. So they recommend that you play it again if you think it’s too short.
"Best three minutes in rock..."
The Warning. Making ears happy for 10+ years! 😅
One of the great songs from their rock opera "Queen of the Murder Scene". This is the about the Queen going on a rampage.

@@ginxreacts thanks, look forward to them😀
I'm sincerely glad that you like The Warning. The negative is that you managed to really unnecessarily pause THREE times during their shortest song. Doing so, you missed an incredibly-tight, clean, impressive and impactful stop before a chorus and also ruined the pinnacle of the climax of the end of the song.
C’mon…
You can’t have things both ways.
