It's absolutely crucial to feature local multiplayer. For a fighting game, not having this is a deal breaker for many people, myself included. I have so many great couch memories with the old Tenkaichi 2 and 3 split screen battles - please make it happen!

@@florianmazreku3577 Yeah, sadly no DBZ game that got released after the PS2 era featured the actual split screen mode (meaning full 3D arenas for both players, so not counting FighterZ etc.) that the old Budokai Tenkaichi series had. Always kept me from buying them. There's already a lot of rumors that this one won't feature local multiplayer either which would be such a huge letdown.
@@florianmazreku3577 I’m sure they meant SAME screen. Not split. Fighters don’t have two separate screens running simultaneously. Even wide fighting games just pan out like Naruto Ninja storm or Smash.

He told me they created this game back in 2011, but they didn't release it because they have been waiting for a console that could properly run it. According to what my uncle told me, the power exerted by the console while running this game, is equivalent to the power at the center of a star... The Big Gete star to be exact. This game will be COOLER than any game you've played in the last decade. It will come out in the chilly part of the year, so try not to Freeze-A when you are going to pick it up.

@@Firewynn_ raging blast combat was awful/dumbed down and sadly nothing like tenkaichi. Have not had a single good dbz game since tenkaichi and budokai series on ps2. Hopefully this delivers but I doubt it, but that name sparking zero doesn't inspire confidence that they will have tenkaichi type combat.
The fact that Bergamo of all people made it in gives me hope that we'll have Budokai 3 levels of roster size. Here's hoping we see our new favs and of course the classics like Tapion.

Agreed, some of the music especially in budokai 3 matched the dbz vibe but unfortunately one of the popular artists that made songs for previous games was caught for plagiarism I think, it's why in the budokai hd version they had different music.
@@slawton17yah the original Raging Blast 2 sound tracks were super plagueriezed but those versions were great. I always play budokai music at work the instruments sound so real and raw!
Tenkaichi 3's ost had the coolest mix of brass and rock. It was great.

It's amazing to see Budokai Tenkaichi return after so long, hopefully this game lives up to expectations. The art style and animations already look great.
buu's fury is still the best dbz game imo, really wish we could get a game with the exploration mechanics of that + kakarot, with the combat mechanics of the tenkaichi series, it could be so good..

It's not the same story. There isn't a single DB game in existence to this point that covers the events of the entire DBS storyline. The closest thing is Xenoverse 2, but you can only get all the DBS storylines if you choose to buy 7 years worth of DLC (I'm not exaggarating, that game is still getting updates TO THIS DAY)

@@Onepieceistheworstfuckinganime You're not wrong, but AAA publishers nowadays don't seem to give their developers the time and love needed to make proper games anymore, and too many indie developers seem to sort of follow the trend as well, because they know with minimum effort they can spit out something that makes them money.
Just look at Nintendo, they seem to enjoy giving their developers absolute slave treatment, hence why most of their modern games are a bucket of puke at release. Then we got Blizzard, really surprisingly actually spitting out games which even look and run decently, but the way they treat their employees is worse than how Microsoft treat their users.
But nonetheless I really hope Bandai does this game justice at least!

if the Naruto Game (From the same publisher I think could be wrong, not sure if CyberConnect is related to Namco) can make a game with 150+ Characters. They have no excuse with this one. Especially as a large roster was a USP for the Tenkaichi games

We as the community need to also think about it from a business perspective. They know we will pay for dlc, what what they might do is make us pay for individual characters at a stupid price to maximise profits

The fact that a character like Bergamo is in this game is exciting, it means that there will probably be some deep cuts of what characters are in the game, now with that being said I hope this gives good coverage of DBZ and DBS at least, and hopefully some OG dragon ball for story purposes and maybe a GT Goku and GT Vegeta (I feel like Budokai Tenkaichi isn't the same without these 2 charcters).

The direct translations from this game’s Japanese website says it will have a historic amount of characters like BT3. IGN also interviewed the producer and he said the game has been in development since early 2018. The dream is true. The 15 year wait is nearly over.
GT is definitely a place in the lore even though it’s no longer canon but I think that was the reason for Xenoverse characters coming to fruition

@@JunGaGotoku XV2 was made by Dimps, RB2 was by Spike which where the ones making the original Tenkaichi and that's the reason it's almost the same. Also this game is named SPARKING! Zero, all the original Tenkaichis where called Sparking in japan so they should make it the same as those. @@jantheking7028 Bro, if you think coming into this game will be a walk in the park because you played Xenoverse 2, think again. You never mentioned it in your post, but this game will be way faster and spam-focused than Xenoverse 2, which slows the combat down, so spam isn't possible between abilities. I remember playing Tenkaichai 2/3, and you can practically transition between one super attack after another without rest unless you don't have the ki to manage it. Xenoverse 2, you can do that, but it takes skill.
What’s up with people spreading rumors about no co op? It’s made by spike if anything it’s obviously gonna play like Raging Blast 2/Tenkaichi and have it the same style lol
It's not a rumour, the official pages for the game say its 1 player offline play. Of course it will have online, it just might not support offline split screen
@@po72644 I’d be willing to bet all I have it has split screen. In the trailer when the beam clash is about to happen it has button inputs under the blasts for two people to push. That can’t be online gameplay if the game isn’t even online and out yet that was multiplayer gameplay they were showing in the damn trailer.

As someone who grew up playing the Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast series this game is looking so good. Xenoverse never really captured what made those games great and FighterZ is great but is a completely different pace. This style of DBZ game felt immersive and is granted us the power fantasies we had as kids.

When I tell you me and my friends started screaming when this trailer popped up during the game awards, like it was so goddamn amazing.
It's been 16 years since Tenkaichi 3, we've missed the gameplay style of BT for the longest time, Xenoverse was fun, but it's nothing like the classic Tenkaichi, and it's finally coming back.
I could go on for hours about my love for DB, it's a big part of my childhood, always having a place in my heart, like I literally cannot wait for this to drop.
I cannot put into words what this means to me. I was 5 years old when the 3rd & what I expected to be final game released. I still continue to play it to this day, the Budokai Tenkaichi series was something I picked up so young, and am so glad to have cherished it for this long. I am in tears of joy & excitement knowing that I'll have something reminiscing what easily the happiest point in my life, Thank You Bandai ♥

Cant wait. This looks amazing. As long as they dont cut the BT3 modes, roster or battle system, and bring em all in with these level of graphics on top of Super and online play I'm happy. Everything else is gravy.

This could easily be the biggest W in gaming history. All they need to do is bring almost all of the same characters and their transformations from Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and put them in this. Of course, they'll also need to bring the newer characters along, too.

Nope, it had a lot of useless characters no one even played. They were just added to pad the roster. With original dB, dbz and super combined, they should have enough to put effort into for the main ones anyway.
@@jelanilee5057 They wont do that, that would be way too expansive. I can see them doing a story mode that focuses on Super tho, which would make sense because it has never been done before in a game. It could start from Battle of Gods and go to Superhero, which is a lot more reasonable than expecting them to redo the entire DBZ and GT story in the storymode even though that has been done dozens of times in the last 2 decades

I find myself constantly rewatching this trailer in disbelief that a new budokai tenakichi is being made it’s crazy. I still have play bt3 and rb2 to this day and a another is actually being made it’s soo surreal man thank god i lived to see this
Friendly tip: not sure if you know this but physical copies of bt3 are worth hundreds of dollars right now if you need the money for either a new system or the new games 😊

For those who may be unaware, "Sparking!" is the title given to the Japanese versions of Budokai Tenkaichi. So this is still Budokai Tenkaichi for sure, they're just using it's true name now because to be completely fair, these games had nothing to do with Budokai and it just shared the name to help sell the game internationally.
I'm curious as to why they chose to go with "Zero" though.
