What will probably happen is Acheron will need a birthday party invitation so then she'll go and kill off their leader and leave the rest to scatter. I don’t like how, years ago, they said, ‘There won’t be a second Elysia,’ and then, two years later, they introduced a similar character in ZZZ. And now, it’s happening again in HSR. There’s no doubt about it-HSR is a place where characters can have alternate endings, like Bronya and Acheron. Essentially, the writers are crafting different stories for the same characters. However, a character like Elysia is special. She’s not just a character; she represents a concept, almost like 'Jesus’. Her appearance in HI3 is a miracle, one that only comes after countless cycles of Honkai on Earth. By creating new stories with similar characters, the value of Elysia feels ‘depreciated.’ I’m not saying they can’t or shouldn’t write these stories, but it feels like they’re reneging on their earlier promise. It’s as if the Vatican declared Jesus was the only one, and then later released a storybook with a different version of Jesus. It undermines the uniqueness of the original. I do appreciate seeing characters like Kevin make an appearance, but Elysia is different. Yes, we shouldn’t necessarily bind similar characters together just because of similar designs, but let me put it this way: imagine if the writers told us, ‘Welt will eventually return to Earth and no longer travel with us.’ Knowing this would make us cherish and value the time we spend with Welt. But what happens if we later find out he will come back and keep traveling with us indefinitely? We would worry less, and those moments would feel less precious because we know he’s not really leaving. It's more about the 'value' of the character and the writer 'reneging'. ‘Something’s end gives it meaning and makes it deeply valued. Yet, when similar iterations emerge over time, the initial uniqueness fades, and its significance may feel diluted.’ I love Elysia and Honkai Impact 3rd very much, and I’m genuinely excited about the new update. It is ironic that I don't want Elysia to appear while I am excited about her and Kevin coming. And I know she is a different character (similar to Himeko and Acheron). I get what you mean, and I totally agree. but at the same time, I think they always meant it like there won't be the second Elysia in HI3rd world specifically, not in general. Dr. MEI said that chances that a Herrscher like Ely would appear were very low, not that it was 0, and that it can't happen enywhere else again. think about it this way, just as Honkai and abilities of the Herrschers adapted to the development of civilization and could even change from era to era, so with the appearance of a bug in the system such as Ely, an antivirus appeared and removed it and would no longer allow it to exist ever again, but that doesn't mean it can't infect some other computers still. also, just because character looks much like Elysia or has her personality - doesn't mean that this IS Ely. like Sena or March is not Ely, Prome is not PE Bronya, Sa or Vita is not Su (devs said that they were only inspired by the idea of an evil version of Su for her, but she is NOT the same evil female Su that he met), and so on. of course they know how much everyone loves Elysia, and that people will spend all their money on her, but they still never confirmed that this here or in ZZZ is Ely expy, and not just a random character look-alike with references just for players to make theories!
I love and miss Elysia, but I also agree with your comment. she is the 'origin' of how humanity started to win against the honkai. and as the first herrscher to break free from the honkai, she gave kiana, mei, bronya, etc a way to also gain control of their powers. Elysia literally changed everything. She is not just a common character. i also think part of why people love her so much is because she is gone forever. the elysian realm is about how nothing lasts forever, but people from the past have fought for the future they would never be able to see. to make another Elysia sort of feels like erasing the massive sacrifice she made 😅 But, if she appears in HSR i will still be happy to be able to see her

Wouldn't worry to much about saving for them at the moment, probably won't be playable for a bit. What will probably happen is Acheron will need a birthday party invitation so then she'll go and kill off their leader and leave the rest to scatter. If tou couldn't tell still a little salty about rhe duke inferno gang how they were introduce and not like a day or week later she just goes and kills off Inferno and the gang hasn't been heard of at all recently. 9,10,12 could be anyone from hua, vill v, aponia/eden, the problem is we can't really base it all on design/apperance alone on these new flame chasers alike, since only some of them has the same design as in honkai 3rd, need to judge their themes and power all together with their designs such as colors, hairstyles etc, for example mobius being castorice, which has different color purple vs green, but her design like crown or face are similar to how mobius look, then her power tied to death, when mobius stands for death and reborn aka evolution

You who are reading this might misunderstand my message due to my poor English, but I’ll try to express it as clearly as I can.
I don’t like how, years ago, they said, ‘There won’t be a second Elysia,’ and then, two years later, they introduced a similar character in ZZZ. And now, it’s happening again in HSR. There’s no doubt about it-HSR is a place where characters can have alternate endings, like Bronya and Acheron. Essentially, the writers are crafting different stories for the same characters.
However, a character like Elysia is special. She’s not just a character; she represents a concept, almost like 'Jesus’. Her appearance in HI3 is a miracle, one that only comes after countless cycles of Honkai on Earth. By creating new stories with similar characters, the value of Elysia feels ‘depreciated.’ I’m not saying they can’t or shouldn’t write these stories, but it feels like they’re reneging on their earlier promise. It’s as if the Vatican declared Jesus was the only one, and then later released a storybook with a different version of Jesus. It undermines the uniqueness of the original.
I do appreciate seeing characters like Kevin make an appearance, but Elysia is different. Yes, we shouldn’t necessarily bind similar characters together just because of similar designs, but let me put it this way: imagine if the writers told us, ‘Welt will eventually return to Earth and no longer travel with us.’ Knowing this would make us cherish and value the time we spend with Welt. But what happens if we later find out he will come back and keep traveling with us indefinitely? We would worry less, and those moments would feel less precious because we know he’s not really leaving.
It's more about the 'value' of the character and the writer 'reneging'. ‘Something’s end gives it meaning and makes it deeply valued. Yet, when similar iterations emerge over time, the initial uniqueness fades, and its significance may feel diluted.’
I love Elysia and Honkai Impact 3rd very much, and I’m genuinely excited about the new update. It is ironic that I don't want Elysia to appear while I am excited about her and Kevin coming. And I know she is a different character (similar to Himeko and Acheron).
At last, I know this perspective might not be appreciated and affirm by most people, but I wanted to share my thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I get what you mean, and I totally agree. but at the same time, I think they always meant it like there won't be the second Elysia in HI3rd world specifically, not in general. Dr. MEI said that chances that a Herrscher like Ely would appear were very low, not that it was 0, and that it can't happen enywhere else again. think about it this way, just as Honkai and abilities of the Herrschers adapted to the development of civilization and could even change from era to era, so with the appearance of a bug in the system such as Ely, an antivirus appeared and removed it and would no longer allow it to exist ever again, but that doesn't mean it can't infect some other computers still.
also, just because character looks much like Elysia or has her personality - doesn't mean that this IS Ely. like Sena or March is not Ely, Prome is not PE Bronya, Sa or Vita is not Su (devs said that they were only inspired by the idea of an evil version of Su for her, but she is NOT the same evil female Su that he met), and so on. of course they know how much everyone loves Elysia, and that people will spend all their money on her, but they still never confirmed that this here or in ZZZ is Ely expy, and not just a random character look-alike with references just for players to make theories!
I love and miss Elysia, but I also agree with your comment.
she is the 'origin' of how humanity started to win against the honkai. and as the first herrscher to break free from the honkai, she gave kiana, mei, bronya, etc a way to also gain control of their powers. Elysia literally changed everything. She is not just a common character.
i also think part of why people love her so much is because she is gone forever. the elysian realm is about how nothing lasts forever, but people from the past have fought for the future they would never be able to see. to make another Elysia sort of feels like erasing the massive sacrifice she made 😅 But, if she appears in HSR i will still be happy to be able to see her
