Hi Audio-Technica, I have been trying to find out how many microphones are there in each earbud and if they are capable of suppressing background noise during calls outdoors, ie; the caller on the other end to be able to hear your voice clearly in a noisy environment and you don't have to find a quiet place to make phone calls. There is nothing on your website, tried to call the UK number but no response, sent a few emails and no response. Having such a phenomenal battery life is a major benefit for individuals whose work involves making lots of phone calls. Please can you respond here? Appreciate your support.

The active noise-cancelling function, which is mainly effective against noises in the lower frequency range, suppresses background noise during calls. We also recommend selecting the eartips that offer the best sound insulation to maximise the noise-cancelling effect. It's also worth mentioning that they feature a MEMS type microphone, which works particularly well with noise-cancelling technology. We use these daily for calls, both in an office and on-the-go, and find that our colleagues, friends and family barely hear background noises during calls. I have in fact returned the earbuds the next day due to the the unacceptable call quality, people on the other end actually hung up on me due to the background noise outdoors, it was not even a windy day, just a very gentle breeze, the usual road traffic that you can expect in non peak hours of the day. I fell in love with the design, fit the elegant case, especially the battery life which would have made a world of difference for me had the call quality been as good as your reply. I expected nothing short of excellence from audio technica, being world leaders in mic area along with your superior audio engineering excellence. I just wanted to simply keep the earbuds as I absolutely loved everything except the most important thing for me, being calls. I couldn't spend £149.99. Unless you have any alternative options. I have never been so happy about everything else and disappointed about call quality at the same time. Really, most earbuds have atleast 4 mics in total, with some degree of DNN or AI built in with MEMS mics. I have edifier neobuds pro, which eliminate a lot of background road noise, my voice is very clear even in windy conditions, but battery life is horrible. So I was over the moon when I saw your tws. Audio technica is my go to audio equipment. To me they are the best in the business and you are not buying the brand name. You are actually buying quality audio from Japan. The sound quality is on point and by far the best. The only one that can compete with the technicas are the klipsch brand. The others just trail behind.
I am currently on my second pair of these, and the reason why is both a plus and minus for these buds. I lost one bud, and liked them enough that I bought a second pair. However; the reason I lost them is that they too easily drop out of my ears, especially the left ear. I have a big head (literally!) and so a big ear canal. This has never been a problem with other brands of bud, but the weight in these is further out from the ear (that big bulge you can see in the video, reminds me of Lieutenant Uhura's earpiece in oroiganl Star Trek) and that means that even the largest supplied tip doesn't securely hold it in. As i say, I liked the battery life, sound quality and general usuability enough, especially at this price, that I risked a second pair So far, I've manged to catch or find the left bud whenever it has dropped out. I've just ordered a third party set of large foam tips to see if that solves the problem. Time will tell. Edit: memory foam earbuds definitely support that weight better!

I'm so glad I ran into this review. I'm on the market for a new pair of in-ear headphones since my old Audio Technica ATH-SPORT7TW ones are showing their age after like +3 years. The battery life on these ATH-CKS50TW is insane and considering that the charging case with my old ones barely holds a charge, that battery life on these sound like a dream. Always been a fan of Audio Technica's headphones (ATH-M50x are still my favorite) and their sound signature so these might be exactly what I'm looking for.

Hi Simon, I would actually say these are perfect for higher volumes. They have enough power behind them that they can hold their own better than most other in-ears at this price. Hope that helps!
I think it a good idea to mention the actual bluetooth codecs they support. Whenever I see the BT standard mentioned but not the codec I assume it is because they only support sbc like the many cheapo buds. I had a look and these support Aptx, Aptx Adaptive and AAC which are pretty respectable and make them more attractive.
My AirPods just finally quit and I'm not a huge apple fan so I'm going to go with these. Thanks for the review. I have had good luck with my audio technica over ear headphones.
I was trying to choose between these and airpods 3 and I chose these because I have a mac but also use a Samsung phone, and especially these can listen to more audio formats than airpods. Also the battery life. AND I listen to lots of bass heavy music. But anyway my main reason for buying them is for zoom calls and for summer when my wired headphones are going to make me sweat. Nice review.
Hi there, great question. You can adjust the EQ in the Audio-Technica app to bring out the vocals and tone down the bass which will definitely help. If you love everything else about them, I think they're worth a try :)
I gotta ask is that button just for pairing or does it also serve as a pause button? I use to have a Bose set that had a single button for pause & hold for pairing makes it nice for gloves, I just gotta know if this also has it as well.
Audio Technica ANC300TW gives me earpain with their fit. These look similar to that. Does anyone know if these have improved fit compared to them? Are they exactly same or the fit is improved

Hi there, they provide you with some different size eartips so you can find a snug fit. I'd recommend trying out the other eartips so that they're comfortable for you long term and unlikely to fall out. Hope that helps!

Didn't need to tune the EQ like I did with my Galaxy Buds Pro. I even compared them side by side with Airpods Pro and they sounded significantly better than Apple's counterpart. Its a shame AudioTechnica's top model is so much more expensive I do like the brand, I've got some over ear ATH-M50X and want one of their microphones. My daily over ears are the Senheiser HD 6XX (I prefer the open backed design and feel more comfortable)
Did you listen to the AKG N400 version? Only 60 dollars or less. With the market flooded with earbuds these things should cost less… It really is not that unbelievable.

I'm not a bass head and I would hate it if the vocals drowned by the bass. But I love everything else about the earphones.
