Im the one with the chain at 10 minutes! We got moved down to the second row! Behind Mark Cuban, my dream come true!! and then for them to play with everything and win it was magical. I was talking shit to the Mavs fans behind me.
That's a fact!! Tried to beat you to it!!...... Luka and Kyrie had the type of games that everyone praised them for and said would need to beat Clippers

Great points by Adam about T Mann impacting the game on both ends, also regarding Big Zu. I’ve been hoping for more Zu involvement in the offense, he’s a weapon Ty Lue does not utilize enough.
As a Mav, I think we underestimated how big Zubac is and were surprised Gafford couldn't keep up with his post ups. There's been this feeling that he's (Gaff) more of a floor raiser than a ceiling raiser, while it's Lively who is a ceiling raiser but isn't physically or experience-wise there yet. We also underestimated how much the Clippers defense was able to disrupt the Kyrie-Luka fluidity, the offense was stupidly stagnant, and while Luka usually thrives in slow, methodical half-court offenses, the fact that no role player (or Luka or Kyrie, for that matter) could buy a shot helped the Clippers lock down the paint and attack Luka aggresively. Props to Ty Lue for being this well prepared, props to Zu and Harden for not being able to miss (50% from 3 as a team while shooting 36 is nuts) and I hope Kidd is good enough to make adjustments and foresee what Ty is going to try next.

Dallas shot variance seems reminiscent of clippers victory over the celtics, hopefully clippers can get kawhi back soon coz dallas is still a very dangerous team especially with them still having both a healthy luka & kyrie! Wish clips could sweep them and not drag it to another game 7 where anything goes!
They have been also trying to step out high on those screens (Zu) and trapping him, like I said. Every time they go over Luka drives and makes something happen. Luka 3/11 on 3’s
With or without Kawhi Leonard being healthy ,, Contributions from Ivica Zubac are needed and necessary for the Clippers to advance further this Post Season , please remember when they were successful in December and January Ivica Zubac was getting double figures in points and rebounds ! Good play from Paul George and James Harden and Russell Westbrook are important and everyone contributing is also important, Norman Powell is usually solid and T Mann and Amir Coffey hopefully continue playing well , Let's Keep it going Clippers 💯🛐💚🔯💛☪️❤️🕉️💪💪💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes, and G1 proved that there is no need to be perfect on our end to still produce a spectacular, historically-embarrassing (Sorry Mavlettes... nah, not sorry lol) result. Just being a bit better than Denver is essentially "enough" to go all the way. Difficult? yes impossible? _naaaw._
In response to my comments yesterday about Paul George, I stand by what I said: George hit a few big shots in the 4th qtr, but his shot selection and decision making in the 1st three qtrs cannot be ignored. He’s done this all season; he has some big games where he makes basically every shot, but when it’s not falling instead of him attacking and trying to get the rest of the team involved, he continues to shoot jumpers and dribble into traffic for turnovers. It’s not winning basketball. No time for hero ball in the playoffs. Also, I’d like to see his “elite defense” on the perimeter guarding Luka or any other elite scorer on the perimeter. You see Mann, Russ & Kawhi guarding the best players on ball while PG guards second tier scorers and plays free safety. Yeah he may play the back end defense, but it should be him chasing Luka not Zu. This will be focused on by the national tv commentators so I will just watch and wait. I’m sure this topic will come up during these playoffs, trust that.
" George hit a few big shots in the 4th qtr," scored half their points. Luka is getting a screen from Zu's man, not PG's that's why he is the one on Luka. PG guarded Kyrie the most of any of his assignments. I'd say that's pretty important. The playoffs are often hero ball *see jamal murray
@@ClippersTalk Like I said, he made a few key shots in the 4th to keep a cushion, but when he came in there was already a 15 or 17 point lead, so was hero ball really necessary? Also Mann & Harden also hit big shots down the stretch. You made my point about Luka; PG was NOT guarding him at all during the entire game, so what difference does it make who Zu was guarding before the switch? And if they do switch, the defender should be going under not over the screen, that’s fundamental coaching. Trap him and make him give the ball up instead of chasing him around screens .. that’s all coaching. But it still doesn’t answer why he isn’t guarding the best player(s). In fact, I can’t even remember him ever guarding Luka since he’s been on the Clips. The idea is to put your best defender on the best offensive player. They still have Mann & Russ for little Kyrie, why is George guarding Kyrie? George never ever guards the other team’s best wing player (Luka, KD, LeBron, etc), it’s always Kawhi, Mann or Russ. You cannot argue that bc it’s on film. Look, I don’t have a problem with with Paul George doing what he’s supposed to do, he is the best player on the team right now, so he’s supposed to play up to that. But when he sucks and you guys still want to prop him up for his highlight reel style of low IQ bball, I’m going to call it out. He had a horrible offensive game the 1st half, chucking shots and over dribbling. These are things he does way too often. He doesn’t play championship basketball and he’s not an all time great player but some fans are caught up in his theatrics.
@@DavidR-lw4hq appreciate the very detailed response, but uh, had to stop reading when i saw, "go under the screen" in today's NBA? with these shooters?! It's not the 90's lol Have a great day! Go Clippers!
@@ClippersTalk Just because you say something doesn’t make it correct … your comment just demonstrates your arrogance not your knowledge. Basketball is basketball no matter what year it is. It’s fundamental basketball. Most good defensive teams realize they are trying to create these actions (trying get Zu to switch onto Luka) and would have Zu or another player fall back so Mann or whoever can go under the screener. But whatever. It just shows you’re just another talking head who doesn’t really know or never played besides YMCA pickup ball.
@@DavidR-lw4hq it is actually fundamental basketball now to NOT go under screens on shooters because you are giving them an open look lol. It's uh, common knowledge my friend. Good luck to you. ✌
Just because the Clippers won doesn't mean they can't still improve for the next game. They still made mistakes they can fix. So the losing team doesn't inherently have an advantage for game 2. Such a dumb Richard Jefferson statement. PG and Norman Powell didn't have great games either.
Indeed. Norm, Coffey and Theis didn't get into the feast very much...yet. Left about another 25 on the table, in favor of a lock-down 1st Half. FINE BY ME :)
Project your "worry" much? Mavs pathetic offense - HISTORICALLY pathetic ( all-time franchise-worst single Quarter ~and~ worst Half scoring records lol) and hideously overrated D - beat some weak teams down the stretch of the reg season, sure - but can't beat an egg vs the Clippers in the playoffs :D

Thank you for being an awesome Mavs fan and not a toxic one!

Clips play great defense when it matters. Three lock down defenders and Dallas doesn’t have a third guy to create shot. This is quick work
