The Best Air Fryer Fries - French Fries In An Air Fryer
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Today I'll share my easy trick to getting the best french fries in an air fryer! I see a lot of fries recipes suggesting soaking the cut fries in cool water, but that seems totally pointless to me. When I ask people why they're suggesting that I get various answers, usually "to wash off extra starch". But that's nonsense, they're MADE OUT OF STARCH. Anyway! The real key is to treat them just like real french fries and give them a par boil so they can get crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. And I'll show you a super easy way to do that!

Can an air-fryer replace my microwave?
@@xxvvkx9312 Nah, an air fryer is really more like a mini oven than it is a microwave. I wouldn't want to try and thaw stuff out or make popcorn in an air fryer!
Those fries beggggggging for some garlic and parmesan. They look so good!
If you add parmesan they will taste like poo bruh
@@thenova9600 maybe a year ago 🤔
nty i would rather just dip them in nacho cheese or something.. the parmesan wouldnt allow me to pick ans choose. garlic is gr8 tho.
I TRIED THIS AND IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! 10/10 APPROVED! I recommend this to anyone thinking to make these.
Did it come out crispy? Bcuz it looks pretty soggy to me.. and every time I tried air fryer fries it always comes out sorta soggy.. just saying
@@daviddawes293i have A recipe first cut it like fat chips and make them fat after that do the same but you must be near to it open it every 5 minutes and try to taste it if this didnt work try to fry it and it will be tasty! Enjoy
@@Antony4IifeI'm pretty sure if you're using an air fryer you're doing it too make it lower in calorie so frying it kind of defeats the purpose
Was it soggy? 20mins boiling seems excessive
400 degrees celsius? Or ferenheit?
Finally a short video that actually explains every step !!! Thank u
Right! I hate seeing something so delicious with half ass instructions. I'm about to buy my first air fryer so I'm looking forward to see what happens.
@@msJjbluematrix I have the same air fryer as him. I bought it in Costco . I recommend buying it in Costco when they r on sale
Try one table spoon of vinegar it keeps the fries intact in boiling water
Only necessary if you boil on a hob with constant heat not steeping
Great tip
@@timnelcin8717 i learned it from one UA-camr it makes your fries great
@@sinabashirinejad1701 I love putting vinegar on my fries too
@@timnelcin8717 that's the man😁
Great trick with the boiling soak on them! I'm gonna send this one to my girl because the only way she cooks is using an air fryer. Great job!
your girl is probably a sow
What bum
@@Elcaballerocris25 you’re comment is a bum
@@mattnlogan101 but you don’t have
I also am so lazy I barely cook anything not using my air fryer 😭
This looks so good! Very clever of you to kind of par-boil the potatoes. I wish I had an air fryer!

Air fryers are good but they don't cook fries properly lol
I use mine everyday, it's really good for cooking jacket potatoes and chicken drumsticks
When you get an air fryer get one with a rotisserie and convection oven
Enterprise been around for over 3 years and people just starting to use it it takes less time to cook
I tried it and they are so good!!! Trust me I've tried alot of fries and these are so amazing. Especially that they're easy to make and at home. 10/10. I'll never make normal fries again. I would reccomnd to intensely shake it every 5 min when it's in air fryer so they cook evenly from every side
Doesn’t matter what method you use. The main goal is to get rid of the excess starch. Less starch = more crispness 💪👍
Heyya I made this exactly the way you did with paprika, pepper, and Italian seasoning and they came out BRILLIANT!! Chewy on the outside, soft inside and tastes delishhh. I also decided to sprinkle some parmesan cheese at the end and it melted on the fries beautifully
Why was it so satisfying to watch those fries pop out of the cutter!😅
Thank you for this . Really helpful
Your Voice and your cooking skills is awesome 😊
I had no idea about the salted hot water!!!! Clever Graham!!!
Thanks, I think it really helps a lot!
You know what else works, ice cold water for 30 mins uncovered.
@@chefchasee.1353 Not nearly as well. The idea here is to actually get a parboil without the trouble of having to boil them in a pot.
@@Passionforfoodrecipes correct, boiled water works better.
@@chefchasee.1353 thank you!
My neighbor gave me her old Instant Vortex. It makes the best diced potatoes. Beeb wanting fries 🍟 for quite a while. Thanks for the easy recipe ❤🎉.
The soaking is called blanching n that commonly done when cooking fries especially in restaurants. Cleans n softens the fry so when you finally fry then it’s crispy outside n soft inside.
Yup!
These look so good! Definitely going to try this myself.
I made them they are so good there crispy on the outside and soft on the inside
Very simple recipe. Thank u boss
This was great. Followed to the T and they came out perfect. Thanks for sharing 👏🏾💞👏🏾👌🏾
I’m definitely going to make these. Thank you Graham
I'm sure you'll love them, thanks for watching Stacie!
I recommend about 17-18 minutes in the air fryer if you don't want it extra crispy but they were delicioues
I always wanted to know how best to cook fries in the air fryer. For some reason they never came out crispy. Will try
Thanks. This worked, my fries came out great. They were nice and crispy.
WOW!!!!! I literally just made these. Second round and I’ve done a lot of research. 2nd attempt and by far hands down yours was the best 🎉
Thank you so much for sharing 🫶🙏
please try this ":
Peel a potato
cut it in your favourite shapes
transfer your potato's in a bowl
in the bowl add some turmeric , salt add some chilli powder and mix the potato in your chilli , turmeric and salt mixture . then air fry for 10 minutes for 200 degrees
its superb
I feel like Americans are the only people who don't regularly parboil. It's a must for English roast potatoes.
Hells yeah, finally found a way to cook perfect home fry's , ❤
They look great. You are now my hero
So crispy! This video is making me want to buy an air fryer!
The can be handy, this is one of my favorites to make in mine
Also, remember not to use something like Pam with a bunch of chemicals in it. It tends to not work very well in an air fryer. Get some avocado oil in a sprayer because it's very good for high heat, and then they will be no problems. Those wire racks are very hard to clean if stuff gets on them! I can tell you first hand
Thank You for the Montreal steak seasoning addition lol I had some right in the cabinet and it is so good
I particularly enjoy the towel lint on the fries. Delish!
I’m saying 😂
Wow looks so yummy 😋
Those look so delicious! I love French fries!
The ol' parboil trick. A classic
For sure! Introduce that stuff to the air fryer folks 😁
Thanks for the recipe it's quick and easy 😊
Ohhh. I like that basket!
You are literally the best.
Aww, Thanks! =)
Awesome my good Sir …. I was always told that temperature of oil is of paramount importance as when oil not hot then absorption is greatly increased….Air fryer does away with this difficulty and obvious large amount of oil consumption.
Thank you.
That looks a whole lot like my air fryer...very nice (and the rotisserie-function is GOLD) !
Yo I just made these and there some of the best 🍟 I’ve ever had
Awesome, glad to hear it!
This was an amazing video keep going
They are the best, truly enjoyed it
Hey Salman,
Great to see your interest towards cooking, I too have a small cooking channel do have a look I'll be grateful 🙏😊❤
I didn't know to parboil. I had only read to soak overnight in fridge. Looks kinda ill be boiling some water!
400 degrees for 19 to 20 minutes
Crusty towel!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have this air fryer and I love it!!
Yeah isn't it great? I love this model too!
They taste so good
I would like to hear the crunch.
I literally have no snacks at home, so I'm gonna make them
Same
I do it a little different. Boil the potatoes I don’t skin them. Then cut them then put back into cold water then take em out dry them then salt pepper onion powder garlic powder paprika 20 minutes in the air fryer
Wow I learned something new! Thanks
My easy trick for anyone is flip whatever fries you make (homemade or frozen) halfway through
They were super delicious thank you
Wow delicious 😋 👍
Hey Maya,
Great to see your interest towards cooking, I too have a small cooking channel do have a look I'll be grateful 🙏😊❤
yum!! Omg should I make some of these right now?! I think yes!
Yes for sure! 😁
Pls give links to the Air Fryer and the French Fries cutter u are using.
Good idea! I went ahead and added those for you. Thanks for watching!
@@Passionforfoodrecipes thank you so much for immediate reply n action!👍👏
Thanks
leave the peels on the potatos. the BEST fries still have the skin on them
This will help me so much
These are amazing. Who would have thought an air frier could make such great french fries....😋
Thanks margaret! Nothing quite like a crispy fry!
I wonder if you can microwave the fries first instead of boil. I do that for my home fries.
Yup that can also work well!
This is gold 🥇 thanks bro
Looks good
Hey Randall,
Great to see your interest towards cooking, I too have a small cooking channel do have a look I'll be grateful 🙏😊❤
When I attempt to dry the potatoes with a towel they always end up having little towel hairs on them it grosses me out
Paper towels or a kitchen towel would work fine, just so long as they get dried.
I don't seem to have this issue, maybe because I dry my towels on their own not sure!
This is the advantage of technology today, we could have the best french fries ever ! I wish I have that too !
Lekker

How can I enjoy them ? How do you calculate that I can enjoy these fries ? ….I been wanting to get a air fryer but there’s good and bad reviews so I been wondering what would be the best one to get ? I want to enjoy seasoned fries too.
I think I put a link in the description to the air fryer I used! These are my favorite things to make with it for sure
I’ve had a air fryer for two years without knowing what it was now i see everybody using that random thing on my counter
Hahaha. I thought it was just anouther gimmick till I got one, and it change my life. Lol
I bbq chicken in the oven for 45 min,air fryer vs for only 20 min
@@1rosabonita
Yup, and since my 1st comment we've got a bigger one, and now hardly use our oven.
I don't bother peeling or boiling them. They come out crispy without the extra steps.
Looks good 🎉
Here's a solution
Wrap the paper with baking paper, so the coating doesn't stick on the food
This is the best 🍟and I’ve been through a lot of videos 🔥
So socking in salted boiling water was a trick for perfect french fries. 😅thanks for sharing with us
Bro has every cooking gadget you could think of
A better recipe is to put them for 10 minutes in boiling water with a splash of vinegar. Then cover them with a little bit of oil and you can air fry them or fry them.
Thanks for the video. I could never get fries to come out nice in any air fryer I’ve had. What’s the name of the air fryer used in this video?
Instant Pot Vortex Air Fryer: amzn.to/34moTxG
What a great recipe my brain is fried just thinking about the possibilities with these Best Air Fryer Fries...Spudtacular cooking once again Graham🥔🍟😋!!!
Thanks man, they're very A-PEELING for sure!
Honestly? They pretty alright actually ngl
How much for the degree adjusted in air frier?
Looking good and hmmmm ♥️ 💕
Have not tried par boiling it first. Will have to give this method a try in my air fryer.
It really helps get them extra crispy! Thanks for watching!
I see a lot of recipes that call for boiling potatoes first and I avoid it Bc it’s too much work but this seems easier and I would try it
Yeah that's what I like about it! When I boil them in a pot it's always so hard to drain them and they're breaking apart and stuff. This way is perfect 😁
Same air frier i have, I’ll go try it
Hey Vinny,
Great to see your interest towards cooking, I too have a small cooking channel do have a look I'll be grateful 🙏😊❤
Look delicious 😋
Appreciate you dawg!
I usually blanch my fries prior to air frying them, but I might try this.
20 minutes what the hell just deep fry them for like seven minutes
Yum, airfried french fries are so delicious! 🤤👌
Put everything on 400 for ten minutes and it’s done completely
Who has 40+ mins just to make some fries?? 😐 I thought air fryers are meant to be quicker and more convenient.
It's only blocking you from deep fry oil😂
Hi, can you tell me where you got the chopper from? Thx.
Check the link in the description!
Definitely delicious
You know this chef is good cuz his hands move so fast
Wows!!! So delicious
love these recipes but its kinda hard and sad when all my shops got is POTATO and WASHED POTATO
if only i knew wtf is russet...
if i just follow recipe my fries turn out raw and burnt at the same time
The same towels that I myself used this morning.
See there you go 😂 now you only have to wash one towel!
@@Passionforfoodrecipes 🤣
Those actually looked good
Thanks Carole!
Awesome 👍 thanks
