I used to live in Surat Thani city. Thank you so much for bringing me back some memories. It’s like I’m there walking it’s streets once again. ขอบคุณมากครับ 😄
Thanks for sharing this clip. I got a feeling of the atmosphere. - I am considering going to Surat myself. I was wondering if there is any beaches in Surat or closeby?
Surat Thani usually is a stopover place. Most travelers pass through towards the Islands of Koh Samui, Koh Pangang and Koh Tao or going South to Krabi or Phuket. As for Surat Thani I have read about Khanom which seems is accessible from there. Khanom sometimes has pink dolphins showing up and should have some beaches. The one time I tried I couldn't find some affordable transport to there though. Overall I wouldn't recommend Surat Thani for more than just the night than may be necessary on a stopover. It's less touristic which may be a good thing for Thailand yet beaches are elsewhere. It has an airport (cheaper to get to Bangkok than from Samui) though beware of scams and please inform yourself about the prices. Some taxi drivers from the train station want to get 2x-3x prices for transports and make a stop at the bus station to sell overpriced tickets. The website 12go.asia gives you a better idea about prices. Reputable guesthouses usually don't overcharge on transports to where you'd go. I myself arrived this time by train from Hua Hin and went to Krabi after on may way South to Malaysia. If you have more questions about Thailand, let me know here. I should get the discussion forum on the website up to have a better search function for such information
@@poptravelorg Im planning on moving to Thailand with my family in October. Where would you recommend to live outside of Flooding areas. Thanks in advance.
I'd blame the UA-cam algorithm to suggest you a video you don't like. Your comment made me smile. All videos here (currently 300+) on the channel are with the original audio 😎- that's the niche of these walking videos. You may find some videos where people talk easily - like this one: ua-cam.com/video/3m-iNsa6vwM/v-deo.html
I only was there once during the day - a few years earlier. I prefer night time as it's cooler and the main thing is that night market like in most Thai cities. Surat Thani itself rarely is a destination by itself. Usually people come and go on their way to some islands or taking a flight
So fun to see real people doing their thing without the
gloss of a tv show. Thanks for sharing.
All the best -Henry

That's correct - the nightmarket and a bit around as written in the video description. Thanks for watching
useless silent 1/2 hour down dark alleys and no words , so couldnt wait till it was over

Day time video is more preferable.
