I used to be a turner, but as I was badly affected by the dust, gave it up, Then I saw the battery powered respirator masks, so I bought one, retooled, and started turning again. The mask enabled me to carry on turning for about 25 years after which it just fell apart, but by then I had discovered carving which I do now all the time. But when I see your work, once again I'm inspired to tool up yet again. So I will just continue to admire and delight in your UA-cam pieces.
I love seeing more female wood workers. My daughters are slowly getting more and more shop time with me. They routinely want to sit down and look at Instagram or UA-cam for yours and Ann's work. I love finding new women to show them as it gives them a true goal to look forward to. My oldest was so excited to see you wearing glasses as well. The small things that makes her feel like she already has something in common with you lol. They all asked their mom if you can come to a cookout and show them how to make the ornaments you were holding.
I'm am blown away with the beautiful turning you do, especially the feneals. You have a great touch, im a little jealous. Lol. I've always wanted to learn turning. Thank you for sharing your craft.
Many congratulations for your partitions in several exhibitions you are an excellent teacher. Although I only saw in video because he does not speak English, only Spanish wanted to congratulate her for her participation and her challenge of several hours of lumber
I've been following Ashley since she made her first videos on UA-cam many years ago. She has made a wonderful journey from beginner to highly professional. The high quality of this video reflects her success.
You are one of a unique group of new young people. It is such a joy watching this transition. Anne OAT, April W, Matt C Jay B. Thank you for all of this wood working contribution. And specifically you I am partial to wood turners. Keep on keeping on.
You are a breath of fresh air, your videos are a chance to escape the mundane and experience the wonder of this world of woodturning. Thank you so much!
A- 1. What an awesome video! So interesting to show the insights of your travel and the great people you meet. 2. A few seconds before the "lay in the sawdust scene," I was just thinking how itchy wood turning must get sometimes! 3. Tell Anne that's the danger of vegetables....if she was picking chocolate bars that "Big Foot" had left in the garden, things would have been safer! Hahahahah! 4. I'm thinking you must have broken off at least several thousand bowls in your career, but you continue to smile and are so kind and excited for your students during that "Ta-da" moment. Good for you.....and great for them! DD
Your a better person than I am Ashley. I enjoy turning pieces on commission but was ready to scream when I took on a project to turn a nice lady four matching serving bowls. Nice video thanks for sharing...
I really enjoy your videos. They are informative, relaxing and you are so personable and really great at conveying a lot of varied content. Of course watching a very talented and attractive women is not a bad thing. Can't wait to see more of you fun videos. Thank for all the hard work producing these.

I absolutely adore your work and it is refreshing to see this approach to your journey and at the end you thanked us but we should be seriously thanking you for your insight. It’s too bad I didn’t get a chance to meet you on this trip to Seattle but you have to come back and present at our club with the South Puget Sound Woodturners. It would be an absolute treat.
I am mesmerised by your skills and dedication to teaching, all with a happy disposition and ready smile. Thank you for such an uplifting look into your life's passion.
Had a Shopsmith many moons ago.Tried turning a table leg. It was chattering and tearing. A friend laughed at me and sharpened the tools for me. The first long curl that rolled over my hand was pure joy.
I never considered getting into wood turning, but since I found and subscribed to your channel, my mind has been changed. You are a very talented person, and your videos have changed the mind of someone that wanted to build furniture exclusively. I can see ways of incorporating turning in my furniture, and turning just to turn. Thank you Ashley.
Love watching you create something out of nothing, that Christmas ornament is insane, no matter how many times I see it, of course, following Anne also, I enjoyed her's and your's videos thanks
You know of any clubs in Los Angeles. I did wood turning in high school in the 70’s and now that I am retiring I would like to take it up again. You do wonderful work.
Thank you, Ashley. Your experience is both heartwarming and inspiring. My experience as an amateur benefitted from the generosity of people like you who gave so unstintingly of their experience and skill to open up new horizons for us all.
What a delightful lady that makes the beautiful work you create that much more special. Congratulations on all of your success!!! Thank you for allowing us to come with you on your journey of your craft.
I really like what you do and how you do it. especially when I see a woman make such handicrafts. I support you in your work and thank you for discovering that beauty of the tree of what God is creating.
From rags to riches. And when I say riches, I mean more than monetary. Your life is being enriched with every passing day, as well as those you interact with and those of us you share your experiences with. Live large and keep turning.

Ms. Harwood, It is so refreshing to watch such quality production quality. You, and your videos are so different from a lot of the foul mouthed, arrogant, jerks, who may have talent, but are obnoxious. Your smooth soothing voice, calm demeanor and class shine. Please don’t change (as I’m sure you won’t). You are the only one on u Tube that I have thought, “ I would like to know them” Thanks for your all you do.
I love watching you work, you are amazing. My mother gave me the love of wood and working with it. She is a wood carver. Birds are her passion. I am just starting to get into wood turning and find it so relaxing to do, I just wanted to say thank you for a glimpse into your talent, life and this amazing journey you took. My only complaint is it is waaaay too short, LOL. Take care
So this video came at just the right time. A friend of mine is making a change in her life and having doubts about her choices. I referred her to Camille's podcast hoping it will inspire her. Thank you for all you do to promote women in the trades. And for sharing your skills and travels with all of us.
Your channel is incredible! Watching this video I realized I had already watched all of the individual videos for 2019, but watched it anyway because your production quality is amazing. Keep it up!

Caught you on Ann’s channel, and had no idea you were up here for so many classes! I am one hour west of Port Townsend and would have loved to have had a chance to meet you. Oh, well, another time and place. Took Mike’s bowl turning class in the same shop up there at Bayview/Anacortes earlier this year. Wanted to get some insight on how he copes as a left handed turner while turning on the same lathe as what I work on at home. Hope you enjoyed both that shop and the Port Townsend facility here in the upper left hand corner of the country. And kudos to your camera person for a job well done under a wide variety of light conditions. Looking forward to seeing more of your travels.
Another exceptional video. It really is a great variety of getting to see your turnings, and all the beautiful places you visit. I am still amazed at how steady you are when turning those finials. Thanks for sharing these wonderful places and people. Keep smiling.

Your videos are some of my favorite. Watch all of them back to back that I could fine
