My dad wants me to learn this and it is a really hard song but it makes it look so easy for you. Also my dad want's to jam with me when I learn this song because he plays drums
Don't be discouraged! once you realize playing octaves is basically playing the same note it gets a lot easier. My advice would be to start only with root notes and add the octaves later.
It's so fun to play so don't give up. Been playing it for a bit now and my hands still hurt from playing. The song is quite simple once you know the basic hand positions. :)
It,s not easy, but youll get ther practicing. Try first without the octave, do it all rythm in the 3rd fret of the E string (forget the 5 in D string) and then do the 3-1-3-1 in the A string for the "my sharona" part. Dont get stuck in that octave string jump and try to learn the rest of the song so you can play it with your dad. Then try to get that octave part playing it very slowly 5 min. every day. You'll get there really soon! Best of luck!
First song we played when forming our band , me bass Steve drummer, then went looking for a guitarist, 1981 . guitar , bass , singer and 2 drummers . Why we chose the name Double Cross't
Ouah good speed Energy thankyou Sir. ( Tablanote=name of the sound in front of fret number) You start with G3 G5 (D string) F#2 goes back to G3 very good to start Music on Bass or guitar, to know your notes very fast, and for ever soft: Tefview from TablEdit free option Tablanote EmaB Vision Friendly from Paris

I’m a kid my name is Miguel and I like bass
Just woke up early hours with the bass line of this great tune playing in my mind. One of my all time favourites. Well done, Thanks.
Thanks!

What bass guitar are you using?
Do you palm mute to bring out individual notes? ...beginner bassist :)

Fantastic! Thank you...
Thanks for watching :)
If you think this is painful, try playing it with your thumb like the original The Knack bassist played it.
Thank you

Thank God you use a pick!
The original bassist used his thumb. A truly horrific and painful way to play.
Another song very well suited for slapping.
I was about to give you a like but you're at 69 and I'm not changing it. But pretend I have you a like. 👍
Thanks!!
