These recordings by the Quatuor Pascal are among the greatest masterworks of history, and are among my favorites, together with those of the unsurpassed Quartetto Italiano. They are copyright free because they are very old. Actually the version posted on Archive.org is an LP version of the original 78 rpm recordings!
Ed, why is the closing cadence so long compared to Theme 2? Is that unusual? Is it essentially a repeat of Theme 1, but in a different key with some modulation? At first, just looking, I assumed "Theme 2" was transition music and the "Cadence" was Theme 2. Thnx!
You know, it might just be the sound quality that bothers me. I kind of imagined that my comment would be uncontroversial, but if they're so well-liked then maybe I'll have to take another listen.

Thank you so much for this, it helped me with my music theory project
Thanks!
I found these recordings on Archive.org, so I suppose that means copyright-free?

Thank you so much sir :)
I really appreciate your work in making these videos, but just what do you see in these performances?
To be honest, these recordings are copyright-free so they won't get deleted by UA-cam. The performances themselves are good but not my favorites...
sir you are more helpful than you probably know
Oh, that makes sense.
Hello, you don't have the keys of the sections?
