    kind of surprised he would say deadlifts are crazy for lat development. Lats may act as a stabilizer but "preventing your arm from ripping out of your socket" isn't a function of the lats. Pretty sure the rows are far more responsible for your back growth than the deadlifts.

      OGAesthetics Chest and legs. Why even do a split, lol. I'd count that as a full-body day.

    You should also do routines for novice, intermediate and advanced. And how to determine what you are.

    Economy of movement. Only iso movement I do are machine crunches and calf raises. Compound movements give you so much bang for the buck, and they help keep your physique balanced. So many gems on this channel, please keep it up.

    Great vid. For my mid back, the 2 strips of muscle verticle along the spine i do sumo rack pulls. I get a nice thick pump on those muscles. After a couple sets i lean my back against a flat wall and can feel those muscle strips touching the wall like crazy.

    If your back workout is that simple yet as we can see works amazingly, are the rest of your days that simple and would you mind making a video going over it.

    question ... whats the difference between sumo deadlifts and the traditional deadlifts .. i thought the tranditional deadlift works your back more than the sumo deadlift

    • @alexhughes7085
      @alexhughes7085 8 років тому +1

      He says sumo deadlifts but they just look like conventional but a tad bit further out

    Jeff on Bb row you pull to your upper or lower core? Also on pull downs you left your scapula protract all the way on the top

    It's an old video but did you use to do deadlifts and the other back movements in one session or rather put deadlift on lower day and have the other back movements on an upper day?

    Sumo is for Back??? I thought it is for Glutes/hams...

  • @SinisterSkip
    @SinisterSkip 10 років тому

    Jeff, you've got some crazy lat genetics. Very low insertions in the lower back, wide and great definition/seperation of all the different back muscles.
    What's the reason you do sumo deadlifts instead of conventional? Doesn't sumo put more emphasis on the glutes as main movers? (personally that's my oversized bodypart and I'm low bodyfat :) )

  • @copernicus99
    @copernicus99 7 років тому

    Interesting that you attribute much of your upper back development to sumo deadlifts, which seems like an isometric exercise for the upper back..
