- The previous owner of this Danish vintage oscilloscope had tried to plug it in and the only result was smoke! I was asked if I wanted it for repair or it would be thrown out. The Radiometer Copenhagen OSG 42b was repaired and saved!

A door stop? A vintage-electronics-smell generator? A X-Y monitor? What to do with it next?
First, I'd see about gutting the original cap cans and filling them with modern counterparts. You might not be into vintage automobiles, but original look is very important (along with original Jensen labels). Sadly, I don't think it is a practical piece of gear for your shop or Tesla coil demonstrations. Perhaps some rich kid would buy it for a steampunkt-themed lounge. It's in incredible shape and might show well. Maybe the original owner wants it back now?

@@gth042 Yes, I would be inclined to try and fit the replacement caps inside the old cans too! The interior of this old scope is beautiful to look at, I would try and preserve the asthetic :)

I love the way it is build - a true thing of beauty and a joy for ever, built similarly to German devices of the '60s.

@@KaizerPowerElectronicsDk If that "intensity modulation" is fast enough, you won't need to rely on just time (or kicking off-screen). It's another dimension, potentially. I've never seen more than an intensity knob before, but you never know.
