You don’t need to justify your garden to us mate. We’re here for your lawn tips. Ignore the haters. That’s all they are. Keep up the great work. 👍🏻💪🏻
Thanks for that
Yeah I’m with you. Keep up the awesome videos mate 👍👍 we got your back 🤜
Fully agree.👍🏼
Agree!
Came to the comments to say exactly same!
We’re here as we appreciate your content. Keep up the good work and please ignore the trolls. 👏🏼
Echoeing a few comments already, but never justify yourself on here. Just because your content is all about lawn care, doesnt mean that your garden needs to be for the instagram or pinterest crowd!
After some serious waterlogging early this year and an attack of yellow jackets, my lawn was a mess and I was on the verge of re-turfing the lot. That was until I found your videos. My lawn has never looked so green.
Keep it up!
Thanks 😊😊👍👍👍
Ignore the negative comments. I watch your lawn. Nothing else. I love your videos. Thank you.
Most of us know your a very hard working man, yet you still find time to make all these great and informative videos for us! Keep doing what you love. You don't need to justify anything mate! Thank you again for being you and all the great lawn care knowledge you share with us 🙏 //Jimmy from Denmark
Hear here! Very well said Jimmy and my sentiments exactly :-)
Cheers Jimmy!
Hi Shaun. Please ignore anyone who dares to give you any negative comments. We are your fans, and we all appreciate everything you show us. Keep up the great work in progress 👏 Xx
Thanks for that 😊😊
Thats a beautiful looking lawn!! Thank you for all your advise and listing the products in the description, It always helps a nice gardener like myself 👍
So nice of you
Hi Sean , just a wee tip for you . Those who are against you for nothing , give them something to be against you for .
I watch all the videos that are available from your channel and Daniel Hibbert channel and always learn from watching . Keep up the good work .
Thanks for that
Hi Sean…never mind the neg comments you’re always get em… you work hard and have limited time.. something people don’t get when you run your own business!
However …. I’ve overseeded parts about 8 weeks ago can I apply a high nitrogen feed .. just I’m not sure a don’t want to damage the need seedlings that came through about 4 weeks ago.
Keep the vids going.. great tips. And I love to watch the progress of you’re work!
B🤓
Ignore the negative comments, focus on those that appreciate your videos. There are more of us as well.
I appreciate that, many thanks!
I don't think the people who post the negative comments realise how busy folk like you are. Im sure they expect perfection. I know the lack of time gets frustrating. All you can do and are doing is keep plugging away 👍 I always enjoy the channel.
Thanks Graham, very kind words.. keep plugging away.
Loving the work your putting in and thank you for the tips mate. 👍👍👍
No problem 👍
I don't hear Betsy complaining about the "mess" so if she's okay with it, the rest of us shouldn't have a problem😁 One thing I really like seeing is the dosage information. I would like to propose you do that whenever you're doing any video using any product.
Another outstanding video Shaun - ignore the trolls. Your true subscribers value every moment you dedicate on this channel which is for our benefit. Keep up the good work pal!
😊😊👍👍
Hi Shaun , apologies I’m normally watching from a far and don’t comment much sorry. However, I must on this occasion.
Truly shocking, that someone has had the cheek to comment on the state of the garden. I know you won’t , but never feel you have got to respond to any one.
Just ignore them. That’s the best way to respond. It beats them up inside ( no end ) not getting a response.
As always, thank you for all the time and effort you put in for us viewers.it’s very much appreciated from your proper followers.
Thanks.
I've watched your posts from the start, because my grass at the beginning of June was straw. I've applied the same method, maybe used different tonics, it's banging.
I have subscribed to your channel and watched recent video. Where there's one negative, there's many possibilities, and positives. Your focus is on lawn care, and that's why we subscribed. Maybe, you would like to add 3 mins on film about your ideas about everything in a garden, without loosing the prime topic. I wonder how the community thinks. Cheers Shaun x
Thanks! 😊😊 maybe.. although I'm honestly quite limited in knowledge other than grass..b ut always willing..
Another excellent tutorial and I think your garden is great considering you work all the hours god sends and still find the time to produce these and help people 👏👏👏
🙏🙏👍👍
I must admit before watching you videos I thought all I had to do was mow the lawn when the grass got long. Then I heard terms like aerating, scarifying, overseeding and top dressing and it's opened my eyes to a whole new hobby.
I bought a cheap step-on hollow tine (oooh get me) aerator and an electric scarifier along with quite a few new tools (some recommended by you) and I'm seriously contemplating an Allett electric cylinder mower (Liberty 43). Now then my lawn isn't very big but I'm hooked on the notion I can get it restored to perfection. I'm a realist enough to know that'll probably take years and there's no quick fix as we fight nature but it's been so much fun so far.
So thank you for your videos, they are always so interesting (who'd have thought grass could be interesting eh?) and thank you for my new hobby :)
ps I wish I had a massive garden like yours. Take care, Ian,
I've seen many stunning lawns..and its amazing how fast you can get there.. you've definitely got enough machinery to do this ..thanks!
Thanks for the vids and tips. I put new seed on late April/May time, and have been holding off on the weed killer, but after seeing this video, I’m getting mine done today 👍
I always mix my Iron in warm water in a bottle before adding to the spray hopper, a few good shakes and it’s dissolved
Gardens looking awesome from what I can see. I wish I had more time too from working / being at work 6 days a week and 3 kids to look after. We do what we can and your doing great my friend
Thanks.. just the odd few trolls doing their bit. Keep on keeping on hey
I think your doing a great job, I follow you for lawn tips and tricks not garden landscaping, carry on the good work and block/ delete those who bring negativity, they are not welcome.
Have you ever thought of using slow release 4-6 month granular fertiliser. Once in the ground it works with ground temperature keeping grass greener for that period of time.
Weedol bottle says not to Mow lawn 3 days before or after its application.. love your work! I'm same wish had more time love ya postive vibes!
Thank you! Yep.. main point is to leave enough leaf on the weed so you can get plenty of weedspray onto it
If you dilute the iron in a couple of pints of hot water first, it makes mixing in a sprayer or watering can much easier.
You’re doing a credit by providing these videos. My grass has never looked better. Don’t worry about the negative comments, it’ll help the UA-cam algorithm and help you get exposure. Soon you’ll be too big to manage all the negativity. Don’t let it bother you and carry on.
🙏🙏🙏
Mate. Stuff that hater. Your busy. That means your doing something right! Remember that!
👍👍👍
Just ordered my Oregon Sprayer. Been mulling over this for months and in doing so saw the price increase so left it. Had been using Spear and Jackson pump which was ok but not entirely happy with it.
Today Amazon has a deal on it for £37.
Great find
.its still abit more expensive than last year..
I use adblue to fertilise my lawn, it works a treat 👍
Thanks for another great video. Always something to learn. That is one big garden. I've got about 140 m2 of lawns and a small border and it takes up a lot of my time. Ignore the negative comments, there is always one. Take care. 😊
Thanks!
I counted the mix and you only did 98 shakes 🤣🤣🤣👍👍
Hahh lol!
Sorted my Oregon sprayer mate....dismantled it and gave everything a clean and ran clean water through it and that fixed the issue. Sprayed the lawn yesterday and it worked perfectly. When I'd finished I put a few litres of fresh water in it and pressurised it and locked trigger open to clean system before putting away.
Brilliant result! 👍
good to see someone doing a different mowing pattern 👌👍
😍
I'm loving your lawn, Shaun. However, after following your guidance since May, my wife and I are loving our lawn more! With the frequent mowing and regular applications of seaweed extract, urea, wetting agent, and humic acid (with iron), our lawn has never looked better. As soon as I use the last of the urea, I'll switch to the ammonium sulfate. My routine now is to tank mix 500ml of seaweed extract and 400g of urea in 12 liters of water for a double pass after each mowing. Every four weeks, I'll add 60ml of the humic acid/iron liquid to the seaweed/urea mix.
Spoon feeding.. very nice!!
Hi Shaun would ever you consider doing a video on basic fungicides and how accessible they are to people with/without a license? No one’s done one from the UK yet 🧐
Ill certainly add it to a list of maybe ideas :)
I love your educational videos
Take no notice of the negative comments Thankyou Shaun for all you do 😊 you have a fab garden
❤❤
Take no notice of rude or nasty comments mate. It's the same on lawn groups on Facebook etc, I've made comments in reply to peoples questions and you get some vile cretin start making nasty comments. We all here to help and learn stuff about something we are passionate about so we really don't need these idiots who have nothing constructive to say. Keep up the good work mate.
Thanks
Thanks
THANKS!! Top man! Very kind and gratefully received. Hope you are well.. Cheers.. shaun
Treated my lawn with Iron of shulphate in early July when we had a lot of rain in England, it's so lush and green, and growing like crazy, having to cut twice per week, another treatment in September, helps stop moss growth in Autumn and Winter
awesome :)
Keep up the great work and your advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks, will do!
I did chequerboard and struggled to get it to show the pattern. last time I tried it i did the first cut length ways 50mm and the width way 40mm and wow what a difference.
nice!
I’ve just bought myself a Oregon 16L sprayer, I’m also just about to use weedol on my lawn to get ready for autumn time renovation of my lawns, I was unsure on the maths side of things working out amounts but I’ve went with your workings out and I think I’m all good, just need to work out how many litres of water I need per lawn
Yep.. put 16 litres in and walk the lawn.. see how many litres are left after walking in straight lines at a normal walking pace
@@LawnRight thanks Shaun I’ll do that
@@LawnRight hi Shaun is it necessary to clean out the sprayer after using weedol? Do you only need to rinse out after using glyphosate
1:20 if anyone didn't no you very well they'd think you been lazy with your pots you got grass growing out of em 😆
Ignore haters always gonna get idiots that don't no nout it's a new lawn Rome wasn't built in a day.
The weather has been all over the place too..dry spring wet summer..my nans grass seed I put down in spring is still pretty thin with the weather was soo dry then and now the wet summer doesn't keep it wet for long enough with the higher temperatures
I've just done a double strength Weedol on my own lawn as it's quite weak mixture compared to professional mixtures see how that goes. Kinda wish I did half in Weedol and half in professional grade to see if much difference..I like to experiment 😆
Yeah I thought same, weedkill now and by end sept it be ready for scarifying overseeding
Oooh be interesting to see how the weedkiller goes.. I'm not normally that brave with weedkillers but as you say it will likely be a lot more forgiving.. thanks
I've done similar to you except I didn't use my A1 fertiliser, I put down 4in1 a few weeks ago, and last night I spot sprayed all the weeds and clover with Resolva for Lawns. Also let the grass grow to about 50mm before applying Resolva and will cut at that for the next couple of weeks. Then it'll be time to scarify the moss out which is a lovely lime green colour.
Sounds like a plan!
@@LawnRight I know I'm doing something right when neighbours start asking me for advice 😆
Great lawn mate. I need some advise on weed grass. I have a lot of the stringy weed grass that grows horizontally in my lawn. I also get a lot of moss, it’s clay soil, but I have put sone drainage in and it doesn’t get excessively wet. I use an electric rake spring and autumn, the 4 in 1 twice a year, some iron sulphate & occasionally core it. Every week I give it a hand rake before I mow to stand up this stringy grass and am amazed how much of this there is again! I’ve even dug some of it out by hand which does my back no good. The lawn looks good to most casual observers but this stuff drives me mad. Short of dynamite, any suggestions on winning this war would be fantastic. Thanks 🙏😀
Hi.. you could kill off the lawn with roundup and restart it which would help massively although it's a big undertaking. Or regularly overseeding with other grassee may help out compete it over time bit I cant say how much that would work sorry!
Looking great Shaun
Thanks!
My son is a gardener. This is his busy time of year. He doesn't have time for his own garden. Make hay while the sun shines is his motto.
Shaun would using weed and feed on my grass make the grass cuttings toxic to my compost heap
Ignore the haters , people sit behind their keyboards and like to be horrible to people because that’s what they enjoy😢
Well done, Sean! If I lived close, I'd help you!
thanks!
Hi Shaun, thanks for a very informative video. Just wanted to know if the products that are added to the lawn kill off worms etc. i.e. do you get blackbirds catching them out after a spray?
Hi the soil conditioners can make some come to surface so would be vulnerable to birds .. iron occasionally stops worms coming up
Very good job and vlog 👍👍👍👍👍going to cut mine when I’ve sorted my oxygen cylinder out 👍👍
Good luck! Thanks!
I tried the Weedol concentrate but it did nothing! The pre made spray bottle works though.
Great stuff
Cheers matey..hope you are well.we should do another live
@@LawnRight I'm up for one anytime, I have just arranged to do one with James from Machinery nation
10 4 4 pretty good for the time of year I reckon. A little bit more K would be good. None of the 'balanced' stuff with equal amounts, they're just too rich in P
Yeah I'm gonna hit it reasonably soon with some high N and or fungicide
How often you have to this procedures thanks
Once every 10 weeks is usually enough for an average lawn however the weedol will have restrictions on it... I think from memory it may only be one application a year... the fertiliser and iron can be done a little more often if desired say every 4 to 6 weeks during growing seasons
I have done new turf 2 moths ago and the grass it’s no really good the soil it’s drain and there some patches and shade in some areas , soil probably it’s clay . It’s about 106 m . Now the customer ask me many questions. But the problem it’s the luck of drainage. How can sort it and make them happy ? Thanks
@@ricardoaraujo3209 you will need to dog a test square ..carefully pull out a turf square down 6 or so inches and inspect the soil.. after inspection you can carefully put it back. You can drill deep holes avoiding pipes or electric cables which will help..but if it's super deep clay you may need to try either deep holes like 2 or 3 foot deep with a large auger or post hole borer.. fill the holes with soil..humid acid.. a sprinkle of gypsum and some compost.. for the deeper holes a bit of gravel first can be used
Can tell what kind of compost ? The names of the materials please thanks
@@ricardoaraujo3209 hi any multipurpose compost or field 4 from fieldcompost.co.uk use code RIGHT10 to get 10% off lawn care items there
How to get rid of clumping fescue? My lawn is riddled with it!
id be digging it out/killing it of first.. you could try to scarify twice a year and overseed with a new variety and in time the newer species would become mroe dominant
@@LawnRight thank you for your advice, your channel is my favourite.
Hi Shaun. What does 10:4:4 MPK mean please? Thank you in advance ❤ Also can either A1 Spring/Summer Fertiliser, Emerald Green and/or Multi Mite be used on plants in borders as well as the lawn? 🤔
I think it will be NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium, the most essential "nutrition" requirements for plants) and 10:4:4 will be the ratio of those, so 10 parts Nitrogen, 4 parts Phosphorous, 4 parts potassium. High Nitrogen fertilisers will be good for promoting green leaf/foliage growth :)
Hope that helps! can't really answer your 2nd question accurately but almost any fertiliser can be used for bedding plants/flowers as well as grass, but there may be some more suited to flower growing conditions and some more suited to grass
Hi.. curtis explained it great 😊😊.. and yes to all 3 in borders.. but 4 in 1 products etc shouldnt as they usually contain weedkillers which would kill plants
I already have Praxys , so is this as good as using weedol ? Also I have just fed my lawn so when should I apply the weedkiller ?
Hi, praxys is fine.. what I applied was a1 fertiliser, weedol lawn weedkiller and some iron just to add a touch of extra "greening"
@@LawnRight ok thanks - so is it ok to apply as recently applied a feed ?
@@ianreader4919 yep totally fine.. I treat customer lawns daily and apply both.. fert then weedspray
Hello. How long do you wait before letting the dog go on the lawn after iron and weed killer?
Hi 2 hours usually or until dry
My lawn is currently overrun by different weeds and clover. I wanted to scarify and seed my lawn, but feel I need to attack the weeds first. Do you know how long after applying the Weedol, can I overseed?
Hi most weedkillers will state a long time but you should be ok around 6 weeks after
@@LawnRight thank you very much. I tried looking, but it only refers to newly laid and seeded lawns to wait 2 months after before applying weedkiller. Nothing about how long after applying you can seed. Appreciate the advice.👍🏼
Have you ever thought of using a slow release 4-6month granular fertiliser, it sits in the ground and works with ground temperature keeping your grass green for that period of time, better than liquids that are only short term.
Hi..my usual go to is actually granular.. but usually 3 month longevity..howeve3 I would usually re treat after 10 weeks. The liquids I've been using more recently for faster grownups...hut as you say less staying power
I'd be interested in video if you explained the differences between a chaffer grub and a while slug, I've seen something white about slug shaped but i didn't know if it was a slug or chaffer grub
Hi chafer grubs are usually curled like a letter C and have an orange head.. slugs are as I think usually slimy
I have the same problem Sean, only my hater lives in the same house, my brother.... he's a hoarder of anything with an engine and as a result our place is always untidy.
Your garden is a very nice size, very long with decent width. Would like to see a walk around of the other side even if it's in bad shape just to see what it's like, thanks.
Hmm... not sure... lol.. its 3 times longer than my main lawn.. needs quite a bit of tidying
Hi Shaun, what’s your thoughts on the benefits of humic acid and do you ever apply it to any of your lawns?
Its fantastic stuff.. aids lawns and improves soils no end.. used it quite a bit last year but just haven't used it much this year
Thanks for the prompt reply - could you recommend a product, for domestic use?
Do you ever find the iron sulphate clogs up the sprayer nozzles etc?
It can do if it's not mixed enough.. I have to shake the sprayers 100 times and it almost always works out ok..every now and then I clear out the filters
Would you not need to use 7 litres of water for the weed killer as a litre does 10m2, or is it the amount of product that really matters.
7 litres is the ideal however I'm confident I can cover mine in the 4 litres
Bloody hell mate....long garden or what!!
Tends to go on a bit 😁
I believe I saw the comment you're talking about and I thought it was uncalled for and not very nice. Glad you deleted it.
Thanks.. I try and catch troll comments as fast as I can.. delete and block them.

No need at all to justify yourself to the internet wankers out there!
