So are the police going to investigate possible abuse by fellow officers or are they just going to go through the motions? I think the only way a proper investigation can be done would be to bring in outside law enforcement resources to conduct the investigation.
@Rache; Meatte I agree ! Regardless of how long ago this was, we have sexual abuse of minors by Catholic priests and policemen, some of whom are still alive. These depraved and jaded individuals ruined the lives of countless young girls, intimdating them into believing that they, the victims, were evil and despicable people, while all the time they were the hypocritical scum hiding behind their offices and being protected from justice by the church and the police force. They should all be called to face true justice, particularly in the case of the murdered nun, Sister Cathy, in 1969, who was about to make this horrific scandal public. I have no doubt at all that 'Father' Maskell was deeply involved in the murder case, and possible certain corrupt police officers whom Maskell may have blackmailed into killing the young nun before she could speak out against him.

If you were a kid and your parents were so entrenched in the church. id think most of theses ladies were thinking their parents wouldn't believe them also risking being disowned by them.Also having to live with the shame if they weren't believed. That's a big decision for a kid who would be suffering the trauma of the abuse.
It’s shocking how horrible these institutions who are entrusted with the well being of communities can be so corrupted. This is 2021 and the corruption continues. My thoughts on this is that sooner or later we all confront all the consequences of our actions and now it seems that we have an attorney general who is just the man for the job. He is known for his sense of justice and now the police conduct is under his radar. Sooner or later we all will face the consequences of our actions, we can never escape.
