    One of The greatest thing my pops ever did was teach me how to drive in a manual. Didn’t drive an automatic for a very long time. When I teach people how to drive a manual, like you, I also stress that the clutch moves the car from stop. Not the gas! Lol.

    Ever since I was a kid using the bathroom plunger as a stick shift I've always wanted a car with a manual transmission, so all the cars I've owned in my adulthood have been manual, including my '12 Toyota tacoma, I know it's not a sports car but I drive it sometimes like it is 🤣👍🏾

      Don't drive a truck like a sports car. Too many people do this and flip and crash and kill themselves or others. I'm all for driving spirited but buy something that is actually designed to do that not a 4x4 truck.

    So my dad when I was little had a cj7 and it was so much fun and he got rid of it 3 years ago and j got two 392’s selling the first one once the second one comes for a profit and it really re insured my desire to get a Jeep as my first car

    I’ve only got a 2.5l auto TJ and have been itching to do a swap ever since I got it. Really it’s the auto that I hate not the little 2.5l. Engine was rebuilt using a jasper crate engine and it only has about 35k miles on it. Debating between finding a wrecked 4.0 TJ sport with a manual and swapping everything over or doing the dodge magnum v8 swap. The magnum swaps are cool because you can retain your factory gauges, but the 4.0 swap would be significantly cheaper and easier. Thoughts?

      I had a 98 Dakota with the 5.2 and that thing sounded great! 4.0L or the 5.2 would be sick in a manual as well

    Cool video!
    I have a question for you kyle after telling my situation rn:
    I have a 2 decade old car and I wanna clutch so fast to 4th gear from 0 - 60kmph. How do I shift it fast to the point were the car just fly off?
    ( it's an old car suv so it's around 75kmph max )
    yes, I am planning to clean everything inside so the run would be as smooth as possible and not junky.

    I'll tell yuh what since I got my 04 cobra few months back I been having a hell of a time tyring to get used to shifting with that car. Never took me this long to get famialir with a car like it is with the cobra. Just seems like I cant get it to shift smoothly between gears without clunking coming from underneath (maybe the IRS). Did you have any similair issues at first with yours?

    • @KyleSVT
      @KyleSVT  2 роки тому +1

      No but your IRS bushings could be very worn out. I would start there

    So I have a question. I am kind of looking into a 4v svt but I’ve never driven a manual before. Is it terrible to daily drive ? I’m not worried about normal shifting I’m more worried about like how to down shift. I’ve heard people say if you’re driving slow you can just pop it into neutral to a stop but others say you always have to rev match.

    • @KyleSVT
      @KyleSVT  2 роки тому +3

      I will never own an automatic car if that helps lol. It's a blast and it becomes second nature. You can do both and both are fine. You can start out just going into neutral to stop but then as you get more comfortable downshift rev matching is just fun. It all becomes second nature and you just drive. Hope that helps

    • @mickedymackedymarkedy8729
      @mickedymackedymarkedy8729 2 роки тому +1

      You can absolutely just pop into neutral to stop, but downshifting saves your brakes on the long term and it's fun! You can just slip the clutch going down a gear, but rev matching is easy to learn once you know how to drive around normally and you learn where your engine likes to sit at different speeds

    • @ordinarygamer1353
      @ordinarygamer1353 2 роки тому

      @@KyleSVT that does help bro thank you !!! Will it damage the clutch and stuff if you do it a higher speed I’m assuming ?

      When you know how to properly drive it it don't matter where you are or how close that guy is behind you on this hill you can get out of any situation fine. You gotta learn where that clutch grabs at what release point.
