- Is it possible to make a complete 15-link chain by only using 6 actions? The possible actions are cutting a link open or sealing an open ring back together. This puzzle is from 'The Moscow Puzzles' also called 'Математическая смекалка' publicized by 'Борис Анастасьевич Кордемский' and 'Martin Gardner'.

Good to see you back on youtube after 8 months

I went completely above and beyond and began drawing all sorts of things on a paper for half an hour diving deeper and deeper into a form of delusion of thinking I was in the depths of solving a unbelievably complex exercise. Then at the very end after being overwhelmed with sleepyness, almost right before falling asleep, when I was the most tired, I just thought well let me just try cut 1 up into 3 pieces and - indeed - completed the task in approximately 2 minutes from when I began my last attempt until I finished it. Interestingly enough, the most simple solution feels like usually the one that will decide whether you actually "win or lose* with regards to different practical aspects life such as scoring a job or doing well in school. I have autism and ADD and I tend to overthink almost every cognitive task, and it can give me some deep insights that people react to as if they are profound, but can be a big challenge when im trying to complete basically any other sort of assignment in time.
Glad to see you back!
i solve it in 1 minute! thank you that's fantastic!
I found a way to do it in 6 before seeing the solution.
I went through the "Obvious solution" to detect the problem, then asked "What if I cut the middle one?" Well, an open link can let the other 2 links out. Now, connect the ends of links of 1-3 and 10-12. Reseal. 2 steps. Repeat with the other single links created from our first cut, until we have the 15-link chain. 3 cuts, 3 seals, 6 actions according to the rules.
I thought the exact same! :D
Fun puzzle to solve. Also i am very happy to see a new video from you
Very clever! My solution is different:
Cut link 12, place both link 13 and 4 inside it and seal 12. Then, cut 10, place link 1 and 7 inside it, and seal it. Now, cut link 11, remove it from the two chains it used to connect, and use it to connect the two remaining chains together. For instance, place 6 and 9 inside it, and seal it.
very nice
I did exactly the same lol
Wow, I think that's even more clever! I thought of putting two in one as well but then didn't think any further with it 🥲😅
that method is the same as the original solution, only with extra steps. It looks like a new way of solving the puzzle but it has no difference if you really think hard about it.
@@mandakhbayar.m8298 Okay, I'll think about it. ... ... ... Nope, lol.
Hello I made some tests and there are some questions I couldn’t solve myself so I was wondering if you or anyone else here reading my comment might have it.
1. Ralph likes 25 but not 24; he likes 400 but not 300; he likes 144 but not 145. Which does he like:
A)10 B)50 C)124
D)200
E)1600
Here the quiz showed me the solution is E)1600 but I still couldn’t figure out how come?
2.Find the missing number
9-19 8-17 14-29 24-?
A)46
B)49
C)124
D)44
What is the missing number in the sequence shown below?
1 - 8 - 27 - ? - 125 - 216
-36
-45
-46
-64
-99
- the solution is 64, but why?
Thanks for any help 😘
1. Ralph likes square numbers. 1600 is the answer.
2. Take the number on the left times 2, then plus 1. Examples: 9 * 2 + 1 = 19. 8 * 2 + 1 = 17. 14 * 2 + 1 = 29. Therefore, 24 * 2 + 1 = 49, which is the answer.
3. The series is the cube numbers. Examples: 1 * 1 * 1 = 1. 2 * 2 * 2 = 8. 3 * 3 * 3 = 27. Therefore, 4 * 4 * 4 = 64, which is the answer.
Hope it helps :)

THE LEGEND IS BACK
what happend to the omni magazine world's hardest iq test video, in particular the 1985 test version of the test??
Very nice puzzle.
I think it's misleading to put those number under the chains, because it makes you think you have to arrange them according to the numbers.
In the end they're just chains, you need to think like in real life
Anyone has the discord link updated?
what happened to the discord on matrix67?
You put your disc in your channel description but you don’t accept invites, I wanted to give you a 3x3 matrix I had trouble with but are you just not open to that?
Where are you from man?
Hi i really like your content and appreciate it
i wanted to point something and tell me what do you think ab it
i got on mensa danemark and norway 121 iq
and finland 131 and hungary 125plus
i havent done a real iq test but i believe it should be around 121-125
when i did iq champion test i got a low score of 106 68percent
the site mentioned that is uses score data from site visitors
i think that the iq champion score is totally inaccurate since most ppl who would take these tests are smart to begin with in most cases
so using the iq equation on such category of ppl is inaccurate bcuz it sets the score based on how you preformed in relation to (in this case smart ppl) thus i believe any iq test site who uses the visitors as data is inaccurate
iq test scores should be relative to the general population and how you perform agianst them would put u in the real percentage that gives you the real iq score
(some ppl would say that the curve would move to the right that expression is wrong since the average is always 100 according to the iq equation)
I saw in a first glance😝
.I. .I. .I.
I would like to see more IQ tests
