Some patterns of the chorus are old (the ones that sound too simple to be 2023-styled, are the old ones I made at that time) and I altered it to make it sync nicely with the new freestyles that I added today. To implement the shadow visuals properly and to speed up rendering after I finished constructing the samples, I split the remix into 4 veg files: 1. The samples (including pitch and percussion). 2. First chorus (covering the entire screen) 3. 2nd chorus (2x2 box) 4. 3rd chorus (4x4 box in the center) Perhaps splitting the remix into 4 veg files makes the quality seem as if I rendered an already-rendered video over and over but it was fully rendered once, maybe that's what causes the chorus to sound weird. Btw, I always activate the pitch shift fx on every sample I made (On older vegas versions, not activating pitch shift fx caused audio and video glitches on wav files, I use wav files because it's easier to synchronize the samples at the beginning of the respective audio file.) Keep in mind that the chorus doesn't sound 100% refined because this remix is old and remastered.
@@jeremiahholmes-hdtuY654 I used Vegas 11, then Vegas 13, and Vegas 20. This project is from my old hard drive. I managed to finish this remix properly on my 2020 laptop.
the pitches/percs all sound good, but the chorus is really not-good in this mix. most of it sounds really janky and offtiming, + a lot of the chorus syllables dont sound good. ik you said this is an old mix which might explain some problems, but since this mix was started like 4 years, it probably would have made sense to just remake the chorus entirely also this is just personal opinion, but im not a fan of that chord progression that u keep using in ur stuff,
The part of the chorus that sounds classic is the old one while the ones that sound fitting are the new ones. The chord progression that I use is now my style, so my remixes stand out from the other ones, I can tweak the progression to make new progressions but this will be part of my style in remixes with minor chords. I agree that remaking the old chorus may be a better option, but this project has been going on for a while, and I just wanted it to be finished so that's why it was rushed but thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! ❤
👍

Hi
why is the chorus so weird
