No, local multiplayer is a big deal. First, to your point, this is a game all the older DB fans are going to want to play *with* their kids. Secondly, as an adult with a full time job, I want to be able to use the precious little time I have with my old friends to sit on the couch and play like in the old days. By the time I was in college and into my adult working life, games with split screen options were already being phased out in favor of online multiplayer. BT3 was 1.5 GB in size, Sparking zero will most definitely be 10 times the size. Not to mention the game is clearly focusing on Z and Super content, with the trailers and V-scans all proving this with not a single glance at OG DB characters, GT characters or movie characters being mentioned or shown, GT being the most likely to be DLC. I expect them to give us all major characters from all of Dragon Ball, be it Super, movies, GT, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball and 'then' release minor characters, this isn't FighterZ 44 characters spread over years of dlc, this is a Budokai Tenkaichi style game, it's like Smash Ultimate's celebration but for Dragon Ball.

You cooked with the local multiplayer take. It would definitely be great if it was in the game (honestly they’ll probably add it later on) but a dealbreaker?? Most of Tenkaichi’s content was always single player to begin with. Plus online is very much a thing. If this was any other dragon ball game people would not be this tight about local I promise.
So... These aren't bad takes. These are simply takes you don't agree with. Seems your response is more shortsighted than these takes. Considering the practices in modern gaming industries, most of these takes are spot on. Do I agree with them all? No. Are they bad takes? Not in the least bit.
If you ask me they should make an original story for Sparking Zero like they did for Shin Budokai and FighterZ, it’s probably exhausting for both VA teams (English and Japanese) to voice the same story lines once again.
My goal is more so to keep expectations realistic. Considering this development team is most likely larger than the original and development time is multiple times longer, production cost would naturally be significantly more even though games have only gone up $10-$20. The economics of making massive multimillion dollar games just doesn't seem so black and white when you look at the big picture.
My question is whether they're going to follow the manga canon or the anime canon when it comes to certain Super characters. Like are the U6 Saiyans getting their SS2 forms since they did in the anime or are they only getting SS1 like in the manga. Personally Id prefer the manga canon route since it would also allow for more characters since those slots wouldn't be taken up by transformations anymore
100% gonna follow the anime because they have a contract with toei which mean they can only use stuff from toei which is the anime and we litteraly saw the u7 spirit bomb in the rivals trailer which never happened in the manga

you will just have to pay 70$ every year for like 5 to 10 new characters
@@habderrahmane What are you even talking about?
@@DaxReviews Or just add free updates...
A lot of dlc will be a problem paying more money for characters that should’ve been present
Yes because every single character should be their day one so theirs nothing to look forward to and it releases dead
@@coolerthanafrieza4726 I think 200+ characters will definitely some to look forward too. I’m talking about characters that been in the series already. DLC should be later on manga, maybe heroes and characters we never seen like bojack and bardock squad. And yes to answer people will buy that, I don’t like cutting ssj4 goku just to re sell em if he’s been here since bt1
@@Gfromda23expecting anywhere near 200 is unrealistic.
This is the first title in the modern series revival, which was built from scratch, and the first game with base roster starting at above 150 playable characters counting transformations.
BT3 piggybacked off of BT2 assets, same as BT2 for BT1, BT2 & BT3 were released 1 year from each other because there wasn’t much development needed other than fine tuning, tweaking and a small amount of added content.
The games going to have a lot of content, so expecting 200 is pretty entitled when we don’t even know what modes there are, how many stages there are, the extent of stage destruction, how extensive story mode will be, etc.
at the end of the day it’s a company not a charity case, DLC doesn’t make a game unfinished, it keeps the community engaged and excited and keeps the game alive for longer. Be happy we even got 164 as base :v
Dude you should be grateful that you are getting 164 characters day one even tho that has never been done(the closest was bt3 with 161 but it needed two whole games to reach that which is the same equivelant as DLCs every year that you have to pay full price for)
@@habderrahmane nah I’m not finna be happy if I have to pay for kid goku and gt goku😭characters that been in the first tenkachi is what I’m saying. We shouldn’t pay for characters we been having since the original tenkachi games
While I understand that they cannot add every single character and that we may even have to purchase characters already found in Budokai and or Budokai Tenkaichi, I will not accept that there cannot be 'any' GT, Dragon Ball or movie characters and all of them will be added little by little through season passes and or dlc.
8:50 just because YOU don't have anyone to play with locally doesn't mean other people don't use split screen. Also not having split screen is super weird I personally don't know a lot of fighting games where you can't play on the same screen and on top of that this means that the online has to be really good I can promise you if this game drops and the severs are trash day one people are gonna riot because they can even play a game with their friends
Exactly the netcode has to be perfect then
Well I defiantly don't have siblings at home or a brunch of kids around the block to play with like in 2005 if that's what you mean. lol With the internet I typically don't need friends to come over to play games. Only exception to this is my wife, where we complain not nearly enough games have split screen. Just weird to me a bund of millennials are implying this is a deal breaker as if split screen was the only reason they were going to buy the game. I'd be nice but people seem dramatic.
@@DaxReviews I mean u just gotta respect peoples situations. Everyone is different everyone doesn’t play games to play online. Some people still have friends and family that comes over. I don’t think it’s really dramatic
@@Gfromda23 All I am saying is there is a lot to be excited for when it comes to this game beyond just split screen. I too would like to have split screen.
@@DaxReviews yeah I know fa sho
Local multiplayer, it’s the fact that buying extra controllers isn’t a thing anymore no games has local multiplayer anymore
Yeah right.
Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, GG Strive. Imagine all those fighting games without local multiplayer.
@@exaIgnusoh shit you right you right, just me personally just want local multiplayer on sparking zero
@@isaiahlara1941i see that it hits different sitting down with a friend or family member fighting it out
0:55 this is a total party couch game series bro, that's the point
my only problem is the game is too about watching when it comes to using skills and ultimates..yeah I get it the game looks really good but let me play my thing why for triggering most super attacks i have to see the character pose then switch back to in game to again go into more cinematics.. ultimates are even longer..bt3 wasnt even this slow when it showed the character posing before triggering an skill a lot and if it did it was quite fast for most
why for triggering masenko i have to see 2 secs of gohan posing
it takes me out of the immersion
i dont wanna be seeing that every time i trigger any skill
only Kamehameha doesn't have cinematics which is way better
because im still playing the game not watching
that's kinda a bummer
hope modders can do something about this
I can agree with that. Seems some animations are a tad too long for my liking.
I am happy that they are adding Bergamo, who is my favorite Universe character, but what about Lavender and Basil? Where are they?
with kakunsa being added i think they have a high chance to appear in the game
@@habderrahmane I hope so, I love the Trio of Danger.
give them time to work on the damn game they are obviously going to be in there because what's the point of having bergamo in the game without the other dogs?. thats like putting goku in a db game without super saiyan
the cutscenes dude... its been 15 fkin years and thes japanese tacky devs avoid working hard on the cutscenes... we see all npcs frozen and breathing while we read what they are saying, no gestures , no organic moves until you advance in the conversation and press X X X X , maybe, goten puts his hands up for a while when he shows hapiness, and then returns to normal state.
Dude.. not anymore, its just, tiresome at this point , with kakarot it happened too but at least they tried to work on that a bit, but this looks worse
To me the game is good enough...i got 4 gokus...4 vegetas...teen gohan will be there... vegito...gogeta....og gameplay...what more ould we even possibly ask for ?
You cooked with the local multiplayer take. It would definitely be great if it was in the game (honestly they’ll probably add it later on) but a dealbreaker?? Most of Tenkaichi’s content was always single player to begin with. Plus online is very much a thing. If this was any other dragon ball game people would not be this tight about local I promise.
they added it
@@TheGeekmierder Thank god
As I said in the comment I kinda saw this coming but it’s good they actually got it in before the game launched
@@reggitopia yeah, i'm really glad that they really hear the community
Some interesting takes
So... These aren't bad takes. These are simply takes you don't agree with. Seems your response is more shortsighted than these takes.
Considering the practices in modern gaming industries, most of these takes are spot on. Do I agree with them all? No. Are they bad takes? Not in the least bit.
The game didn't come out until today, how are most of them spot on?
If you ask me they should make an original story for Sparking Zero like they did for Shin Budokai and FighterZ, it’s probably exhausting for both VA teams (English and Japanese) to voice the same story lines once again.
Nah we never had a straight super story line and this is the game for it
Great video
Are they paying you to shill? Arguing for less playable characters so we can buy more dlc is honestly hilarious to hear from a consumer
"You have a different opinion? You're just a shill!"
dude why not have cross play man
My question is whether they're going to follow the manga canon or the anime canon when it comes to certain Super characters. Like are the U6 Saiyans getting their SS2 forms since they did in the anime or are they only getting SS1 like in the manga. Personally Id prefer the manga canon route since it would also allow for more characters since those slots wouldn't be taken up by transformations anymore
They are literally doing anime
100% gonna follow the anime
because they have a contract with toei which mean they can only use stuff from toei which is the anime
and we litteraly saw the u7 spirit bomb in the rivals trailer
which never happened in the manga
Yeah manga route would be great, unfortunately we're not gonna get SSJ Goku Black, he's manga only.
Best youtuber
For real
The DLC for this game is going to be awesome since it won't have a half baked combat/counter system like Xenoverse 2.
idk i just think ur not smart tha main people who will buy this game will never play bt3
Bro you talking bullshit sorry
Nah.
