Yep. You could see Jim and the interviewer had a mutual respect for each other. From both sides, especially the interviewer, came a genuine interest in Cameron and the movie. Ready to listen and not interrupt and be rude etc. And it pays off with this wonderful interview. Very insightful.

В Риге премьеру TITANIC в кинотеатре МОСКВА мой бывший муж с нашими детьми смотрел в 1998. Почему то жену не пригласил на премьеру фильма. И я лишь спустя 10 лет увидела Ваш TITANIC. Thank you!

It's crazy how the storyline of titanic movie is not true (jack and roses relationship) but there's truth to the setting and every character. Right on down to the tiny details like the plates and cups and silverware.

It’s sad that the wealth inequality spoken of here has only become that much more disparate. Greed pure and simple. Lust for money and lust for power. No wonder human history is littered with so much death and destruction at it’s own hands.

A Night to Remember is a far superior film with superior acting. The problem for me is that Cameron's film depended on a love story I didn't care about and I thought deCaprio was terrible, Winslet not much better.

When you say 'depended' on a love story you are correct, but....
....that is what makes the script so brilliant. Cameron's script for Titanic in general
      doesn't get enough credit.
When it's all said and done, the love story was absolutely necessary, &
      extremely clever.
Through Jack & Rose, We (the audience) are introduced to the SHIP,
and what LIFE was like on Titanic in the few days prior to it's sinking.
And in turn, we come to both care for Jack and Rose and care for the ship,
respect the SHIP, and appreciate the ship.
How else would you accomplish that if it's wasn't through characters?
Two characters that we care about?
Jack and Rose show us everything.
From the decks to 3rd class steerage to the guts of the ship, 1st class dining, suites,
there's even a shot of Jack and Rose running through the boiler room. I mean,
they literally touch upon every arena within the ship prior to it's sinking.
And the whole time, like Cameron stated, we know the DOOM is coming.
Then the third act, final hour drops and look at the result.
This all stems from the script, Cameron's blueprint for the film, which again,
      doesn't get enough credit.

No, sorry. I mean, I know that's what people say in order to sound more academic, but it (Night to Remember) was a boring, BORING film and it had soooo many errors. It was a noble effort though.
