I think that's one of the main selling topics of Lookism, a lot of the main characters slowly change their views overtime. Even Daniel slowly realizes that even though he has the "Beautiful Body" he'd actually like to get the same recognition from his peers in his "Real Body" and even starts to workout and better himself while at his Night Job as his "Beautiful Body" is sleeping at home when in reality Daniel could easily keep switching between bodies and still get the love and acceptance he yearned for while in the "Beautiful Body"

It's better be Zoe or Jay tbh. I read a couple chapters back, and Crystal really doesn't show anything special to be the love interest for Daniel. Our boi had grown so much, so I really want a grown and build up character for him like Zoe
And I don't want the 'Daniel is not gay' or anything, you know if Jay is a girl.. he would definitely be the FL and I don't want a double standard in deciding something. Plus he is the most kindest person from the start to both his bodies, so I don't see why he is not a choice at all
Besides, they have no chemistry whatsoever. Like yeah they both liked each other's original bodies but is that enough reason for them to end up w/ each other? Definitely not. With Zoe, Daniel overcame his fear of Logan. Because of little Daniel , Zoe became a better individual and has changed how she looks at people. Not to mention, her character has grown so much and we got a whole arc telling us that her feelings for him is really sincere and that she's willing to do anything for his well-being. Her character development is brilliant, it's been 400+ chapters and still no progression or changes from Crystal who was supposedly one of the important character in the series. Honestly, the only reason why Crystal could become his endgame is because she's based off the author's wife. Zoe has all the FL qualities and she is the better fl in my opinion.

I think her hypocrisy is intended. After all, it isn’t always true that two people who have experienced the same pains would show empathy. Jiho is the best example of this.
While she may also have a double body like Daniel, she doesn’t have the emotional sensitivity to really make good use of both bodies. Only solely relying on one.
Daniel may have been reliant on his taller body in the beginning, but he grows accustomed to figuring out how to live with both parts of himself to survive that world.
The same can’t be said for this girl. She is way too fortunate to understand her hypocrisy.

Jiho himself is what Daniel would be without having any true friends, or the tall body. He would’ve become bitter with the world and become broken. Vile against the world.
Crystal is what Daniel would’ve been if he wasn’t poor. Just like her, he would lock up his fatter body and completely neglect it out of self-hate. Thinking himself worthy enough to believe he sees through Lookism (the word, not series).

And I just can't take it seriously when ppl claim her as the FL of this story. I've reread it multiple times, and I don't see any exact reason why she deserves to be the endgame. All I get is cringe from the two of them, only way they'd be endgame is because she's based on the author's wife lmao. There is no chemistry between them, yeah she likes his original body and he once had a crush on her real self... what more? Does that mean they're compatible? And with Daniel's character growth, I would love for a well written and build up character to fulfill that FL role. And that someone I have in mind is none other than Zoe/Haneul.
Since she had a whole arc about ruining her image simply for Daniel's well-being and she has proven that her feelings for him are sincere. A whole arc proving how much she has grown as an individual. Because of Zoe, Daniel overcame his fear of Logan and because of little Daniel, Zoe changed on how she judges/looks at other individuals. They both did something/ A LOT for each other, and with Zoe's development, she's the better fl.

The way Zoe easily recognized that Daniel's cousin isn't really Daniel while everyone even Crystal couldn't even recognize him, the way Zoe waited for him at the first day of winter, the way Zoe fell for his looks first in his second body but ended up loving his original form. The way Zoe is the reason why Daniel became even more brave against Logan and the way her whole character was written... I'm pretty sure she's the supposed fl and is going to be his endgame. Now that I think about it, it acc makes sense especially for her development. But since we're still not done with the story yet, anything can happen in the future. Who knows, the author can just pull a 380 asspull out of nowhere just so Crystal and Daniel could pair with each other 🗿

She's a character with a very huge potential and unfortunately PTJ didn't give her enough time before develop unlike others. Also, she's Daniel's first love.
I was fond of her when she first appeared, seeing how kind she is to little Daniel when he was getting mistreated by almost everyone back then. When she got more and more screentime, I started to dislike her character. She hates people who judge others mainly for their looks but judges another individual despite being nice to her in both bodies☠️ She didn't even judge Eli for being a single dad but when it comes to Daniel, it's a different topic.
Another issue is that compared to the likes of Zoe, Mira, Joy, Mary, Rua, Yeonhui etc who all have a likeable personality and are somewhat well written ( ZOE SPECIFICALLY ) who changed how she judges or view people, and has grown so much as a character and as an individual, Crystal's character fails in comparison. It's been 400+ chapters and still no progression or changes from her whatsoever.
Crystal's only problem is that she's way too judgmental and is a huge hypocrite for the most part. She's not technically a bad person and she's not worthy of being the most hated female character in lookism either, that title should go to Vivi. An owner of a fcking r@pe cult who have also drugged multiple civilians but is unfortunately forgotten by many readers since she is so pReTtY 👺 While Crystal's only flaw is being judgemental and her annoying hypocrisy, she's a whole ass saint if you compare her to Vivi, she's not a criminal. Yet there are ppl out there who likes/feels bad for her while Mitsuki and Crystal got the most hate when Vivi is literally way worse than them🗿 Mitsuki did something problematic too but it amazes me how ppl never forgot about what wrong she did while Vivi was forgiven so easily. Now she's getting a happy ending too like damn👺
Yeah, I empathize with Xiaolung because he is literally an enfant soldier raised to sacrifice himself for his masters, so even is he killed people and such I cant really hate him. Vivi on the other side I was so pissed because she got to have her happy ending without consequences ???
Spoilers if youre not up to the webtoon : she was supposed to get married to some guy for money between their family but Xiaolung appeared and now shes going to run away with him. She told him that she was going to change and stop drugs but that won't change the fact that you messed up hundreds of peoples lives you fucking bitch

I agree that her hypocrisy is very prominent throughout the story, but I believe she can grow out of that stage. I think people also tend to forget that Vasco wrongly acuses of handsome Daniel because he’s attractive. Daniel also has his flaws and is also very judgmental In some aspects. What I’m saying is I think Crystal can grow. I also find it interesting how people bat and eye on other characters judgmental characteristics and hypocrisy. Also, let me add that I haven’t finished the series so my opinion might change over time. Also, let’s not argue, although I would be interested on what your take is on this matter. Any ways, let’s just give her a chance. 😅

I think Crystal's main reason for hating daniel was that whole fiasco where (in his attractive body) did not treat that ugly girl right and outwardly was repulsed with going on a date with her. Honestly, after seeing how Crystal has been bullied in her old body by girls in her class because attractive Daniel spoke to her, I can understand her resentment for him and attractive men in general. Just because she is rich does not remove the trauma of her being bullied and trying to accept herself as she is. I feel like everyone criticizes her too much because a lot of people have simply never been in her situation before. Characters like Zoë and Mira have never been cornered before or made to feel insecure about their looks because they fit the standard and it is obvious that Crystal is still struggling with self-image and worth while trying to do what she thinks is good.
I won't call her a hypocrite, she's just rigid, which is what a lot of bullied kids end up being. Crystal is right not to trust attractive daniel (but it doesn't mean she shouldn't try and unpack her trauma).
Source: I would know this because I grew up ugly and attractive boys would call me all sorts of names and girls would bully me. Now that I'm pretty and in my twenties, I am always skeptical of attractive people. In fact, I've chosen to not date because I'm still unpacking my trauma and self-worth. I hope we get more of Crystal's character struggling and overcoming this issue. her anger is valid.
Also, I want to add that Daniel has a lot of friends by his side and that gave him the strength to overcome his weaknesses. It's gonna take Crystal longer to do so for herself because her father isolates her (not to mention that unattractive girls are less likely to get genuine friendships from anyone)

It's because daniel didn't hate crystal from the start, and he tried to be on good terms with her many times,he got fed up finally and started judging her ,unlike crystal who judged him based on his looks from the first time she met with daniel's second body .

First of all, it's not bad or unusual that she recognizes these social patterns. It wouldn't be the first time someone misunderstood Daniel's intentions because of his appearance. But Crystal's experiences are also compounded by misogyny. The idea that she's had pretty men come up to her feeling entitled to her time, energy, and affection without considering her as a fully realized person isn't too far fetched.
And, frankly, the hatred of her feels--ironically--deeply rooted in misogyny. It's the intersection of "not all men" and the idea of "reverse discrimination" people who hate her put forth as tho beauty isnt LITERALLY a source of privilege IN the source material and the premise the ENTIRE thing is based on that kills this for me sometimes.

I really like her premise as a character. It's sad that she got sidelined and hardly grew as a character. She could've been more interesting and could've grown as a better person like Daniel. Side note, have you seen her father!? The man's a stone-cold brick, I feel like half of Crystal's behavior comes from him, so a different point of view is necessary for her.

She judges people based on how they look even though she hates when people do so and because she doesn't know Daniel has two bodies she judged his good looking body before even getting to know him, yet when she's in her good looking body she doesn't seemingly expect to be judged while she meets Daniel in his chubby body but he had already decided he didn't like her based on how she treated his alternate body. When she slapped him when he was in his original body too I'm pretty sure it was when logan was forcing zoe to date him and zoe was only agreeing to protect daniel from being beaten up by logan but i really don't understand what crystal expected little daniel to do about it as he couldn't fight and beat logan in his original body at that point.

Like when she was first introduced at the festival, I get why she was snappy, it was a misunderstanding(like how Vasco had misunderstood Daniel and thought he was a bully). Crystal doesn't really change anything which makes her miles different from Daniel. A great example of this is how her fat body hasn't changed since she got her fit one and just accepts that her fat body will face criticism and bullying.
She spends most of her time in her new body instead of changing the old one and it's even shown that she even goes to the gym with her new body instead of her fat one.
Meanwhile, Daniel lives in both of his bodies and faces helplessness and power throughout the webtoon. He changes his old self and becomes a new person because of his struggles. Crystal does nothing to change herself or her thinking because she doesn't need to as she is well off and has every service at her disposal.
Crystal slapped little daniel, not big daniel though. She did it to wake some sense out of little daniel so I can't be mad for that. I think she just hates people eho are good looking because she stereotyped them as douchebags. I can't blame her for that. She liked little daniel though.
