- “get used to 3-4% inflation & 4-5% interest rates”
- no signs of U.S. recession… the theory that the actual labor market is weaker than official payrolls is WRONG (Powell referenced this theory today)
- with stock market at all-time highs, it’s clear that the Fed hasn’t broken anything yet

Recorded this afternoon (June 12) shortly after conclusion of Fed Chair Jay Powell’s press conference.
Bianco is the most sophisticated macro commenter out there. I always listen when he speaks.
Not sure how this would fit into your analysis, but just FYI. Down here in South Florida, In the home depot parking lots, I can pick from up to 20 to 30 guys that will work all day for $40. Used to have to pay $100. That's deflation. None speak English mostly Creole. People like ing up to 3 families in one house. We used to call them flop houses in the 80's. Just people flopping on the couch. Not sure if all this firs into the conversation, but I thought I would throw it out there.
If Mr Bianco is correct TIPS are significantly underpriced versus conventionals.

After yesterday's meeting, I'll stick with what I've been saying all year. The fed is not going to cut rates this year if they do cut, I give inflation 2 quarters before everyone starts panicking again we already know which ever president comes in is going to spend a lot of money aka physical policy
Commercial real estate like the multi-family apartments will come for refinancing soon. Once they refinance at a higher rate, rents will starting going up and will show up in the CPI. So 4% inflation sounds reasonable.

Well, with the 10-year sitting at around 4.2%, the market certainly doesn’t think we’re looking at a long term inflation rate of ~4%.

Much of the recovery from 2008 is on the back of the seniors who invested in fixed income. Now they are getting something and I hope we don't go down to 2.5 or even scary 0%. Seniors need 4.5 % on their savings.
