I honestly think this song is about thinking about past heroin addiction. not a girl. think about it and listen to the lyrics agaib. "black memories" describe me ten times my weight in a vegetable state" "nothings gunna heal these scars" I'm pretty positive. Beach rats is also about heroin.

but I agree with you. now that you bring it up. this song black memories does sound like a song about addiction of some sort.
