Great work as always, much appreciated. A quick question, which version of powerofthree's Papyrus Extender for game version 1.6.1170 ? The one that supports AE 1.6.1130+ ONLY ? Keep it coming your selection is awesome and the guide by far the most comprehensive on all of YT.
There doesn't seem to be a version for 1170 which is common and annoying amongst these weird fixy/tweaky/whatever mods that everyone's like must install but no idea what they do lol. There are people in the comments saying "it" works with 1170 but refraining from stating which version specifically. Guess I'll skip it until until later maybe.
i've been following this series and i'm so grateful!!!!! question though... if within MOD2 the version is in red.. is it broken?? I thought I was downloading the correct versions but there are a handful that are showing up red. will this break my installation?
Amazing Tuto, thx dude ! I've been trying to install mods for too much hours now...Go until part 9 and then my game got infinite loading. Did a clean reinstall as u show it but now, I can't manage to install the ENB... Got infinite loading screen. I proceed to uninstall ENB, then reinstalled it. Now the game juste act as if ENB doesn't exist, it works, but I can't get ENB. First time modding Skyrim, I don't understand why it's so complicated compared to other games... I would appreciate some help guys, thanx
At the time yeah as it created examples for FOMOD options that are important so it was a nice opportunity to show how they're handled and not to forget them :-)
This part of the tutorial might cause an issue triggering your Windows Virus Protection after adding the mods from stage 1. I tried to run Skyrim through SKSE after setting up the mods from stage 1, and I got the following error message: "main.cpp failed to find standard logging directory". What solved the issue for me was checking the Windows Virus Protection history and grand SkyrimSE.exe access to its folder again. Apparently, one of the behind the scene mods from stage 1 gets accidentally flagged as a virus and Windows Defender went wild. It's kinda funny because I installed everything (Steam, Mod Organizer 2, Skyrim AE) on my second SSD, yet still Windows Defender got triggered.
EDIT: Thank you for pointing this out. This was an oversight of mine after a script revision. I have pinned a comment, blurred the video and added a card. I appreciate the heads up as I wouldn’t have realised.
We all make mistakes. We’re only human :-) it’s more important to me that everyone has the correct information than I appear faultless. I’m grateful to you for noticing and mentioning it :-)

Hey, I'm having some trouble with the TCIY Patches. I already followed your instruction but after sorting it out I still find the error. I'm loving the tutorials so far! Thank you.
Im LOVING this series, its helping me learn to mod well! I have a question if anyone can answer, when I load into the game i dont see the sky with the galaxies. Do i need to make a new game or something. Ive tried reinstalling and checking all the possibilities as i can think of. Any help would be wonderful!
I got it figured out! ugh turns out the night sky was just too cloudy to see anything at all LOL. Used a command to clear weather and found the beautiful sky!
I think you missed an easy and good one in this episode. Enhanced Blood Textures. Simple yet good. Either way we did add a lot and I think I learned my lesson on adding too much too fast. Cant wait for next week to see where we go from here.
While on immersion I guess there are some others I have liked for years: Wintersun(Adds faiths to the game) and Imperious(Adjusts races and gives them raced based quests). On a lesser immersion side I use the Character Creation Overhaul to make a more unique character or one based on the classes from Morrowind and Oblivion.
EBT is on the list but as you well said, too much too fast and it can be problematic. I try to choose a selection of simple and advanced with each stage to avoid any issues anyone could face :-)
hi Great guide. But im a little stuck. Downloaded Power of 3 Tweaks and double clicked. Checked manual and it says data not valid. DO you have any idea. Thanks. Sorry to bother you.
Hey bro! Been following the series for a while! Really appreciate you helping guys like me that are new to this. After finishing following this vid i loaded up skyrim to check what it looked lik hoping to see those amazing night time stars and galaxies. But for some reason my night times are now completely pitch black. no stars, no light. Can't even see my character. Game definitely running as i can see the torch fires of whiterun about 10e metres away. I tried turning off 4k stars and galaxies but that didnt change anything. I tried time skipping to check different nights but all are the same completely pitch black cant even see my character? Is this elfx lighting issue? is this something that maybe gets fixed in a following video? Not sure whether to carry on following the videos or wait here to find a fix :)
Appreciate the kind words bro thank you. This sounds like an ENB issue. So you can open the menu and tweak the settings to be brighter or you can remove it if you wish. But that's what's making it dark
@@ADHDecent Hey man thanks for the help! I tweaked the ENB settings and it helped a little but I could still not see the 4k stars and galaxies. After unchecking 'Enhanced Lights and FX', 'ELFX Fixes' and 'ELFX - Exterior Fixes' I can now see at night time and I can see the stars and galaxies as intended. After re-checking just Enhanced Lights and FX on its own the night is pitch black again and no stars and galaxies. I don't mind continuing with the series if the fix for this issue doesn't seem obvious. Do you think I'll be able to continue? Maybe I should just hand select a couple more mods and be happy with what I've got?
could you do a tutorial on how to install the mod "legacy of the dragonborn". i don't want to mess up the progress i made till now by installing it the wrong way
First of: Thanks for this great series. Really helps me understand bit by bit about modding. So far everythings been great but now theres an issue with the night sky mod. for some reason even though i have the exact same setup as shown, my night sky stays simply blank. Its really dark and at first i thought that was intendet, as even inside whiterun, there arent a lot of lightsources everywhere. But when I look up theres just nothing. No stars. no moon. The way I understand it there might be an issue with the ENB but i have trouble working with that. I think so, because i tried two different night sky mods and all yield the same result. no change whatsoever. I also never get a plugin for these mods, not sure if thats right. I kindly ask for help, as i can not see any mistake i might have made.
1. How do you choose which mods you're going to showcase here? Did you know which ones you'd want to do when you began this series? 2. Would you recommend those of us following these videos to wait until the end of the series to play, or to play with what you've given us in the meantime? 3. Also, do we need to run Nemesis again after this video's installations?
1. Many are chosen before hand. However as the series progresses, some are removed or changed based on their interactions with each other or their current version status with the game version. I also try to listen as much as possible to requests from viewers which can change the path planned 2. Entirely up to you there. If you feel like you’ve covered what you want, feel free to start your own journey however I cannot provide any help if you encounter errors as I would not have tested that myself. 3. As mentioned above, there are no animation mods in this episode so it is not necessary to run Nemesis this time. However, it’s a good habit to run it before each launch if you’re able to as it doesn’t take long and you may forget when it’s needed at some point.
When I install the ELFX I dont get up the popup to choose ENB ELFX Meshes. When I install the next one for ENB users it asks to overwrite or replace the previous.
As my PC is quite dated, I have to choose what my PC can handle until I can upgrade which does have an impact on the direction I take things for now. But it’s also good to choose a middle ground when covering these things anyway for the larger part of the community who may not have the latest rigs
IIRC, FOMOD is originally a Fallout modding term that appears to have carried across to Skyrim (and maybe others Im not sure) My guess would be something along the lines of FallOutMOD or something to that extent
everytime i run nemesis it creates additional files in overwrite folder. do i need to create a different mod within MO2 for the nemesis overwrite files each time i run it ? thanks
Are these mods for the VR version of the game or just the desktop version? Or do they work for both? I intend to purchase and mod Skyrim VR, so if I can do all of this plus what you've covered in your other videos, I may never leave virtual reality 😅
Question: lots of finish mods run fine throughout many updates until v1.1130 releases (now is v1.1170 bc i just fresh install it), so how to downgrade it and how can i know it compatible to downgrade version (such as UI mod A matter of time: the same v1.1130 but some can run and some can't)? Also, will u intent to make a video about how to downgrade skyrim in the future?
Hey I love all of it but I really do hope you combat mods because well it’s really hard to install them and animations for walking and running and attacking
Hi, thanks for the great work. Live Another Life Extension does not work for me. When i install the mod it says: 'No valid game data'. Any help for me? Thank you
I wonder why not using LUX. There is like a lot of people saying it's the best/next gen light mod. Is it possible to differ from your mod and choose Lux ? Plus it's a little bit confusing that you said to tick boxes but didn't do >< What about "main ambiance" ?
I may have cut the shot shorter than intended in that case but I make sure the script will state which boxes to tick if it’s important so as long as you follow what’s being said you’ll be okay. As for LUX, there are a number of choices for many elements when it comes to modding. I try working with what is best suited for those watching and cover the aspects of modding I can to allow others to then make those choices themselves.
@@ADHDecent I understand. Another question : is there any reasons you guide us to install mods pretty randomly ? I mean it maybe isn't that random but i feel we install some animation mods, texture mods or gameplay mods but i can't understand the logic yet. Is there any or do you just follow your feels ? Understand me well : it's totally ok for me and i guess for everyone but i just wonder why you don't do like "this video about textures, this about animations, this one about gameplay". About LUX, could you (or not) consider propose some choices (like meteo/lighting/textures pack) in you tutorial or will you stick with one version ?
@jaceneliot it’s certainly not random :-) there’s a few different reasons involved - compatibility at the moment with current versions, popularity, impact on the hardware/demand (I try to find a middle ground to allow as many as possible to follow), it’s installation and mod priority and whether said mods are required for other mods down the line. It’s also the series itself - it’s not about my choices as such. It’s about showing *how* to mod. So at any point someone can take their own route if they wish but also they will know *how* to cover areas regardless of which unique mod they choose. This includes covering conflicts and errors for example. It’s a lot to try to consider when writing and I try to make it flow as much as possible for what the aim of the series is :-) EDIT: just to add, some parts are boring sadly. I want to make it interesting and enjoyable so another element is to mix good and boring like meat & veg! Makes it less of a task to complete and more of an experience :-)
Is it OK if I skip the graphics enhancer mods? I already skipped the ENB episode, Dragon Claw Textures and stage three of this episode since my PC is low-end.
@@ADHDecent thanks you. I find a solution. Just clear all main files with SSE cleaner. And the problem is gone away. :) please make a vid for simple dual wielding. Because i think showing all weapons you use on your Charakter should be shown but i cant get this mod to work...

hi how to fix warning version for mod Main Menu Spinning Skyrim Emblem? i saw on ur video you have the warning too, but suddenly it's fixed on ur video,, how?
Im not sure what warning you're referring to. If I had it in the video then it's likely a version number issue which I cover in a later video in this series
I'm having a problem. After downloading and installing Patch Hub, there are no changes for Book covers skyrim and cutting room floor requiring a patch? what should I do?
I'm using MOD2 for context. Two things if anyone can help: 1. Alternate Beginnings Live Another Life Exstention, once installed, says it did not download correctly but the version number shows up green as an up to date version. 2. When I run Skyrim SE through SKES rather it's a new game or continue, everything blinks like a light blinking effect and then just becomes blurry I followed all the steps and can't figure it out.
First uninstall the New Beginnings extension, then when installing it again go to manual, right click on the data with the blue tick and select “set as directory” it should fix it

Thank you for the quick reply. I'm glad you're doing this series and I'm looking forward to the next part. Keep it up :)
Appreciate it thank you!
Oh yeah a new one. I wonder if it would be possible to post quicker than weekly :S. I want to follow this guide because i find it really clear and easy to follow but i can't wait 2 months^^
You can't rush art
@peteriliac3306 you are far too kind ;-) I’m honoured :-)
@jaceneliot there’s a lot to answering that but to summarise - I write, shoot, record and edit all myself, in my spare time around my day to day responsibilities. Maybe one day…
@@ADHDecent Hi i totally understand that. Thanks for this work
Excellent as always cheers Sir .
Always appreciated Anthony thank you. Means the world :-)
HELLL ya man finally got my shit to work thank you! Hoping to see some floura overhauls next I looove me some immersive trees and plants and would wonder what order and what mod you'd recommend. I got a nicer pc finally and get to live out my enb/ go crazy 4k texture dreams :)
You’re very welcome! You might like tonight’s episode then! ;-)
Will there be a mode for multiple companions in one of the upcoming videos? 👥 If so, I'm really curious about the mode you'll choose.
Not sure yet. Potentially :-)
Great video as always!
Appreciate it Tyler! Thank you! Means a lot :-)
Appreciate it thank you! Yes match the version to your game. So 1.6.1130+ :-)
There doesn't seem to be a version for 1170 which is common and annoying amongst these weird fixy/tweaky/whatever mods that everyone's like must install but no idea what they do lol. There are people in the comments saying "it" works with 1170 but refraining from stating which version specifically. Guess I'll skip it until until later maybe.
1.6.1130+ (the ‘plus’ being versions after so 1.6.1170 would fall under the ‘plus’)
@@ADHDecent lol I completely didn't see that plus thanks. I double checked the desc, files page, and a few pages of comments too.
i've been following this series and i'm so grateful!!!!! question though... if within MOD2 the version is in red.. is it broken?? I thought I was downloading the correct versions but there are a handful that are showing up red. will this break my installation?
Glad you’re enjoying it so far. That’s covered in this series already you’ve just not reached it yet :-)
I would appreciate some help guys, thanx
awesome series. I generally prefer Lux over ELFX but wondered if there was a reason you chose this one? Easier to use as an example or?
At the time yeah as it created examples for FOMOD options that are important so it was a nice opportunity to show how they're handled and not to forget them :-)
Regarding powerofthree's Papyrus Extender, when using game version 1170, which should I download?
I'm at the same spot, don't know what to do lol
Kindly make a tutorial for player exclusive animation, Noone explains that bit. I hope you could help us out
I will take a look :-)
Hi
I have question, po3 tweaks is in my overwrite folder. where to drop these files? Much appreciated
Thank you very much!
You’re welcome! :-)
The 4k stars and galaxies dont work for me.
Pro-Tip: Get into the habit of reading each mods description page before downloading it. It often contains important information.
was I the only one thinking my youtube was having a conniption fit when the LoS2 part was playing at first? 🤣
haha XD
When you do the moon mod... go with the LE mod "Skygazer Moons - Masser and Secunda Ultra HD" the 4k one
don't know if you're going to use this helpful mod "Ruddy88 ESLify"
There again - an amazing video
Really appreciate it thank you! Always grateful to you for your support
Hi did you address where you added JKS SKYRIM CRF Patch at all?
MVP thank you!
You’re welcome! Glad I can help!
For some reason my sky is super dark at night , not sure what I missed
Is this video a follow-up to your new series?
It is! :-) all videos with “The Complete Guide” in are part of the same series :-) it’s also in a playlist for easy access
Lanterns of Skyrim 2 and ELFX Exteriors are not compatible together, since they handle the same stuff.
EDIT: Thank you for pointing this out. This was an oversight of mine after a script revision. I have pinned a comment, blurred the video and added a card. I appreciate the heads up as I wouldn’t have realised.
@@ADHDecent
At least you admit your mistake and don't just delete comments, so props for that. :)
We all make mistakes. We’re only human :-) it’s more important to me that everyone has the correct information than I appear faultless. I’m grateful to you for noticing and mentioning it :-)
Thanks Again...
When I was to instal Clean Menu, one of the requisites was a MOD that randomizes imagens in the load screen, it said it would change some game folder files, so I gave up instaling...
-how to make nighttime more visible with ELFX? i cant see anything also i cant see the sky lol-
nvm everything work fine and still loving it, just the darkness scare me and wish i can adjust the darkness
Thank you for the guide, It's very clear to follow and organised!
(Btw, I downloaded a lot of mods from Vortex and I'm wondering if its possible to transfer them to MO2? I saved mod folder so that it's safe for me to delete Vortex but I would like to hear someone advice on this before I figure out and go wrong.)
Appreciate the kind words thank you! You’re better off downloading them again into MO2 but if you go to your Nexus Mods profile you can see your download history and go from there :-)
@@ADHDecent thanks for your comment, time to download 700 mods again, any advice for me before I start downloading them?
I love your video and they help me start MO2 because I want over 1000 mods, I got some of them by looking at other players’ mods
Hey, I'm having some trouble with the TCIY Patches. I already followed your instruction but after sorting it out I still find the error. I'm loving the tutorials so far! Thank you.
Nevermind, I got it fixed now! Onto the next one!
The New Beginnings - Live Another Life Extension SSE says that the data does not look valid is there any fix?
hi Great guide.
You are the skyrim jesus.
Love it! I appreciate you. Thank you!
Tnk alot ❤
could you do a tutorial on how to install the mod "legacy of the dragonborn". i don't want to mess up the progress i made till now by installing it the wrong way
I will make a note :-)
No animation mods were installed in this episode. Therefore, no need to run Nemesis again.
1. Many are chosen before hand. However as the series progresses, some are removed or changed based on their interactions with each other or their current version status with the game version. I also try to listen as much as possible to requests from viewers which can change the path planned
2. Entirely up to you there. If you feel like you’ve covered what you want, feel free to start your own journey however I cannot provide any help if you encounter errors as I would not have tested that myself.
3. As mentioned above, there are no animation mods in this episode so it is not necessary to run Nemesis this time. However, it’s a good habit to run it before each launch if you’re able to as it doesn’t take long and you may forget when it’s needed at some point.
everything worked expect the star and galaxies and my map at night is too dark to see
That's the ENB settings. Need to configure them through the in game ENB menu (can't remember the shortcut off by heart)
@@ADHDecent thanks, other than that the galaxy mod doesnt work for me.what can i do?
When I install the ELFX I dont get up the popup to choose ENB ELFX Meshes. When I install the next one for ENB users it asks to overwrite or replace the previous.
I hear about nolvus v6 comjng out but im always curious about the modding community and where everyone started
As my PC is quite dated, I have to choose what my PC can handle until I can upgrade which does have an impact on the direction I take things for now. But it’s also good to choose a middle ground when covering these things anyway for the larger part of the community who may not have the latest rigs
Are you gonna touch on LOD and DYNDOLOD?
The idea is to cover this yes :-)
I've always wondered, what does FOMOD stand for?
IIRC, FOMOD is originally a Fallout modding term that appears to have carried across to Skyrim (and maybe others Im not sure)
My guess would be something along the lines of FallOutMOD or something to that extent
do abybody else ger data looks not valid error with new beginnings extention?
One question: how much space will i need for all of these mods you're going to install?
can i install lux instead of ELFX?
How many more episodes will there be in this and will you cover combat mods?
There are still a few more planned as there are many elements yet to cover. Of course where you decide to follow up to is entirely up to you :-)
@@ADHDecent Thats the thing. I've tried to branch off and do my own thing just to break the game. You make it too easy...
having problems getting then stars nod working just have dark skies any help please
everytime i run nemesis it creates additional files in overwrite folder.
do i need to create a different mod within MO2 for the nemesis overwrite files each time i run it ?
thanks
Are these mods for the VR version of the game or just the desktop version? Or do they work for both? I intend to purchase and mod Skyrim VR, so if I can do all of this plus what you've covered in your other videos, I may never leave virtual reality 😅
Brilliant! I’m afraid I am not sure which work with VR and which do not as I do not have a way to play VR (I do have the game though weirdly)
Yes it’s in the pipeline just requires compatibility testing more than planned because of the updates :-)
@@ADHDecent and this is why you are HIM/You are the best 😄😊
I appreciate it! :-) thank you for your kind words
Not sure if it's just me, but Unlimited Sprint and Faster Horses is not showing up on Nexus anymore apparently. Maybe I'm missing it?
I think it's just because they aren't for special edition, I found them for base Skyrim.
Just checked. They're there. IDs: 2003 & 5098
It’s a lot to try to consider when writing and I try to make it flow as much as possible for what the aim of the series is :-)
EDIT: just to add, some parts are boring sadly. I want to make it interesting and enjoyable so another element is to mix good and boring like meat & veg! Makes it less of a task to complete and more of an experience :-)
best Tutorials ever can you add face mods?😍😍😍😍
Looking at it for a future episode :-)
please make combat mods guide
Its on the list for the series :)
Sup, looking for some help... get to the point with New beginnings Mode in manual dowload and MO2 says data doesn't look suitable. What could I do?
Is it OK if I skip the graphics enhancer mods? I already skipped the ENB episode, Dragon Claw Textures and stage three of this episode since my PC is low-end.
Yes, that's absolutely fine. Just remember not to select patches for these if covered in the video as you wont have the mod it patches
The mod another life doesen't work proper. Its no longer possible to play vanilla opening. 🤕
I will look into this :-)
@@ADHDecent thanks you. I find a solution. Just clear all main files with SSE cleaner. And the problem is gone away. :) please make a vid for simple dual wielding. Because i think showing all weapons you use on your Charakter should be shown but i cant get this mod to work...

I'm having a problem. After downloading and installing Patch Hub, there are no changes for Book covers skyrim and cutting room floor requiring a patch? what should I do?
Fixed by reinstalling fresh Kryptopyr's patch hub
FIRST?! MY FIRST FIRST?!
I'm using MOD2 for context.
Two things if anyone can help:
1. Alternate Beginnings Live Another Life Exstention, once installed, says it did not download correctly but the version number shows up green as an up to date version.
2. When I run Skyrim SE through SKES rather it's a new game or continue, everything blinks like a light blinking effect and then just becomes blurry
I followed all the steps and can't figure it out.
u'r skyrim is se or ae version? if u running on se we have same problem here

First uninstall the New Beginnings extension, then when installing it again go to manual, right click on the data with the blue tick and select “set as directory” it should fix it
