Shalom! In wich day you brothers keeping the day of atonement (yom kipurim)? Leviticus 23, verse 27: Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. And in verse 32: It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath. So, is it in the 9th or in the 10th day?
@@waytosalvationchurch So i think that you can see from vers 32 that sometimes the wording of the scriptures describes the beginning of a day as the end of the day before it. The day begins and also ends in the evening, it's a cycle. I think that we in Judaism understand this right about the PESAH. It starts a little bit before the evening (BEN HA'ARBAIM) at the end of the 14th of 1st month. It is also very clear in offering ruls that it is not alowed to sacrifice the animal at night time. It is very clear from leviticus 23 that the 15th is the day of holy gathering and the 7 days feast counts from the 15th (end of 14th) to the 21th day. God's blessings upon you.
1. We believe day of atonement starts in the evening when sun sets , that is when 9th day ended and 10th day begun, and ends when next day evening starts, that is 10th day ended and 11th day starts. According to scripture we can eat food or work before or after. Only from official evening to next official even we cannot eat food or work. If 9th day have evening at the end of the day then who gives official definition when it starts and when it ends? Who have that authority?

@@maksimstep1 God gave the authority to the Hebrew priests and judges (Deuteronomy 17). Nowadays, the Jewish tradition is still conected to Keeping the law of Moses. I'm not saying that we need to accept this tradition as whole, because of course, of their blindness about Christ and some rules that are not established on the law of Moses. But if we want to keep the law, maybe It's worth to know how the law Keepers keep it.

We keep it on the 10th day of the 7th month of the Hebrew calendar.
